A Purple Heart veteran, a black conservative, Christian, former Border Patrol Agent and active police officer in Kentucky, Dexter Pitts gives listeners insight into his life as he shares his many experiences. No longer afraid to hold his tongue or hold ba
The I Am Pitts Podcast is an exceptional podcast that deserves the utmost respect and admiration. Dexter Pitts, along with his fellow officers, has served both in the military and on the streets, and their dedication and sacrifice should be commended. From the very first episode, I have been hooked on this podcast. Each episode is filled with captivating stories, valuable lessons, and even some comedic moments that keep me laughing. It is a raw and honest podcast where Mr. Pitts fearlessly speaks his mind without any hesitation.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Dexter's ability to lay it all out there as a black conservative. He tackles a wide range of topics that are often deemed controversial or off-limits by others such as BLM, PTSD, police matters, global conflicts, and more. His honesty and rawness are truly refreshing in today's society, where people often shy away from expressing their true thoughts and opinions. Dexter's strong voice serves as a much-needed perspective that challenges the status quo. The truth may not always be welcome, but it is necessary, and I am grateful for Dexter's willingness to share his truth.
Another aspect that makes this podcast stand out is Dexter's inspiring stories of his experiences as both a veteran and a law enforcement officer. As someone who admires veterans and law enforcement personnel, hearing Dexter's sacrifice and determination is truly awe-inspiring. His stories serve as proof that none of us are perfect, but with the help from above we can overcome anything and become an inspiration to others.
Unfortunately, it is challenging to find any negative aspects of this podcast. However, one possible downside could be that some listeners might not agree with Dexter's viewpoints or find them controversial. However, it is important to approach these episodes with an open mind and be willing to engage in thoughtful discussions rather than dismissing them outright.
In conclusion, The I Am Pitts Podcast deserves nothing less than a 10/10 or 100/100 rating. It surpasses other popular podcasts like Joe Rogan's in terms of its rawness, honesty, and thought-provoking content. Dexter Pitts is an exceptional individual with a sensible perspective on life, and his podcast serves as a platform to share his valuable insights. I eagerly look forward to each new episode and the opportunity to hear Dexter's views as a law enforcement officer in the city he calls home. Thank you, Dexter, for your service and bravery in sharing the truth with social media and podcast listeners.
A few months ago, my name was brought up to the producer of the tv "On Patrol: Live" as a possible guest host. Me, being the skeptic that I am, did not put much thought into. My skepticism faded when I received a message inviting me to Jersey City to do a screen test for the show!
As a police officer and a Christian, sometimes it gets old being being the bigger person and having to turn the other cheek. At times, it feels like I am a punching bag for society and I am not allowed to respond to defend my honor in the name of remaining professional. Sometimes I get so mad dealing with people insulting me and saying outlandish things to me that I want to lose control and just be a bad boy. However, I have to remind myself that God and my chosen profession has called me to be different than the everyday citizen who lets their anger and carnal nature control them. Being insulted while on duty is one thing, but being insulted inside a business while off duty as a paying customer is a different feeling.
When I was a rookie police officer on LMPD, overtime (OT) was a forbidden word. Now, in 2024, with police staffing levels at an all time low across the country, officers all over America have the ability to set themselves up for future financial success with unlimited OT and high paying off duty jobs. With that in mind, remember this one thing: Don't get greedy and steal money or time from the government like NYPD Lt. Quathisha Epps who is being accused / investigated for earning an additional $204,000 in OT. And on a final note, if you want to ensure you have a great police career and make it to retirement, be weary of these four things: Money, Lying, Sex and Alcohol. You can enjoy these things in the right environment at the proper time, but I've seen many careers crash and burn behind all four.
Americans voted and unamously agreed that it was time for Donald Trump to be the leader in America once again! Those who oppose Donald Trump being president are now questioning, "How did this happen?" You can only compare someone to Hitler so many times that people realize how farfetched that is. You can only label a group of people as Nazis and racists so many times until people start to see how outlandish that is. The American people are tired of being lied to and having their emotions played with and spoke in a unified voice, screaming "No more!" Everyone is tired of identity politics and the division it causes. Yet there are still people in positions of power (Jefferson County Public School System Chief Equity Officer) that want black people to believe that white people want to do them physical harm. Are there racist people? Of course there are. How do I know this? Because I had to deal with a racist the other night on my shift, and boy do I have a story to tell you all about it! Lastly, an LMPD officer who was shot in the line of duty during 2020 is suing LMPD for claims of racism, discrimination, and lies about the Breonna Taylor Case. Need A Cigar? Happy Veteran's Day! In this on the fly, last minute, shoot from the hip, unscripted episode recorded from my police car, I address all the veterans who feel undeserving of a free meal or service on Veteran's Day. Some of us in the veteran community have lost sight of how Vietnam Veterans were treated upon returning home from the battlefield. It's time for us to put aside our pride, ego, and negative view of Veteran's Day and just accept the thank you and gratitude people want to show us.
As a cop and podcaster who often comments on officer's worse days on the job and their mistakes (intentional or not), it might be easy to assume that I think I am better than others and have an arrogance that makes it seem like I am perfect and make no mistakes. Well, that can't be any further from the truth. In my 15 years as a police officer I have made a lot of mistakes and bad decisions. In this episode, I go our my entire disciplinary history to show people that I am not perfect. I want to show people that there is a difference between an honest mistakes and going out of your way to do the wrong thing with evil intentions. Nobody's perfect. We all make mistakes. Lastly, I talk about how false allegations can ruin someone's life, career, and how you have to safeguard against those false accusations.
Policing in 2024 is no longer about the facts of an incident or a case. What matters in 2024 are the optics of an incident. The recent encounter between NFL superstar Tyreek Hill and the Miami-Dade Police proves that. In this brief episode, I give my take on the incident and talk about the current state of policing in 2024 where the public nor the media cares about officer safety, but the how the officers actions are perceived by the public. It's not about what it is, it's about what it looks like, and police departments continue to lose the PR battle because they have not figured that out.
Everyone is familiar with the 22 A Day slogan that represents the 22 veteran's a day that end up taking their own lives. We all know the saying and we all know the 22 A Day push up challenge, but do you know the faces of the 22? Unfortunately for myself and many other veterans around the country, we know the faces of the 22 all too well because they are our brothers and sisters. On August 20, 2024, myself and my Alpha Company brothers from the 2nd Battalion 14th Infantry Regiment lost a brother who become one of the 22 A Day. This past weekend, seven of us gather to say goodbye to our brother Leland Shanle III. In this episode, I talk about the time I spent with Leland in the army, his love for his brothers, and the small things we can do to help our brothers and sister from becoming part of the 22 A Day.
Being in the military is honorable, period. Combat veteran or peace time, service is service. Behind a desk pushing papers or in a foxhole with bullets zipping past you, we are thankful for your service. How and where you serve doesn't matter. But what does matter to me and many others is when veterans lie about their service (Tim Walz). Lastly, is anyone else burned out on special operation stories and influencers? It's almost like they fought the entire War On Terror on their own.
After an extended period of time, I Am. Pitts is back! In this audio only episode, I talk about cults. When I say cults, I am talking about the Anti-Trump Cult and the MAGA Cult. Over the last few weeks, I seemed to have angered both. The cult of blackness (being black) still believes that Donald Trump has the power and ability to take away black people's rights and put them back in slavery. America has fallen away from being a country built on personal responsibility and has embraced the cult of victimhood. Everyone is a victim. How do we counter this cult that as taken America by storm. Lastly, I have to come clean and talk about my time and experience in a sex cult.
Social media has been buzzing over the last few days about the tragic and unfortunate incident where an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Deputy shot and killed Senior Airmen Roger Fortson in his home while he was legally armed. Emotions are running high, people are rightfully upset and concerned by the officer's body camera video. While at the same time, the Fortson's family attorney Ben Crump, is working overtime spreading lies and misinformation about the incident. In America we are blessed to have the United States Constitution that protects citizen's rights against unlawful seizure at the hands of the government. We often talk about our rights, but we often forgo the important conversation of the responsibilities that come with our rights and how we use them. Legal does not always mean practical when it comes to our rights, and sometimes we push the limits of our rights beyond common sense and suffer unintended consequences. In this episode, I give my take on all of this in reference to this horrible incident.
One of the most underrated, underused, and misunderstood positions within law enforcement is that of the police Chaplain. Chaplain's have been around since the 4th century. From accompanying soldiers on the battlefield to riding shotgun with police officers on patrol, the chaplain has always been there. Despite their presence, many still do not understand the purpose of the chaplain or how they can be used to aid police departments, officers and their communities to achieve positive results. In this episode I am joined by Chaplain Jared Altic who has over 30 years of experience in ministry and six years as a chaplain with the Kansas City Kansas Police Department. We chat about his calling into the ministry, how he serves his officers and the unique challenge of getting officers to open up to him about their struggles. Chaplain Altic is also the host of the "Hey Chaplain" podcast where he chat's with first responders, military, and those in supporting roles, across the world about wellness and sharing their wisdom and experience with the Chaplain.
As America is suffering under the the Biden Administration's open border policy and millions of illegals now residing across our nation, there is no better time than now to share my experience with the Border Patrol. I spent 11 months of my life with this agency as a trainee and agent in the filed. The training was intense and it was a rough year. I then saw my dream job turn into a nightmare. I am thankful for the experience and the chance to have earned the right to wear the uniform and call myself a United States Border Patrol Agent, but I am glad that year is long behind me!
Imagine the stress and anxiety you would have if you went to work and had to wear a camera your entire shift for the sole purpose of being judged by your coworkers, your management, media, and the world. Think about the pressure to be and do everything perfect knowing that if you have a bad day and mess up, EVERYONE gets to watch your worse day and you get to be judged and criticized by millions of people. Even more, think of the fact that there are people out there who are waiting for you to do the wrong thing so they can turn you into a MEME that will haunt you until the day you die. Welcome to the life of being a cop in 2024.
When you are in combat fighting side-by-side with your brothers, you are seeing them in their highest form and at their absolute best. The dedication to the mission, their attention to detail and their unwavering discipline is inspiring. One of the hardest things I've ever had to witness was those same brothers, the same dedicated soldiers, spiraling out of control, losing their discipline, focus and drive to an addiction that turns them into a shell of the man they use to be. When on the battlefield under fire, you see these guys as invincible super heroes, but in reality, they are only humans and they are not immune to struggle or addiction. In this episode I am joined by my brother, Paul Greene. Paul and I served together in Iraq in 2004 and 2005 in the 10th Mountain Division in Alpha Company of the 2nd Battalion 14th Infantry Regiment. Paul and I have stayed in touch over the years, but one day I noticed that something with him had changed. After struggling with addiction most of his adult life and during his time in the service, Paul is ready to open up and share his story and his struggle with the hopes of healing broken relationships and helping other veterans find the courage to get help. If you are a veteran tired of struggling with addiction and are ready for some real help, click the link below! On today's episode, I am joined by former LMPD Officer Cory Evans. Cory, an 18 year U.S. Army veteran, a nine year police officer, and recently released convict from the federal prison system. Cory was sentence to two years in prison after being accused of using excessive force on a rioter/protester during the 2020 civil unrest. Tune in and listen to Cory share his life story about growing up in poverty in Eastern Kentucky, his time in the military, his time with the Louisville Metro Police Department and his perspective on the incident that made him a "political prisoner," ruined both of his careers and flipped his life upside down. Cory also shares with us the truth about what it is like for a police officer stepping foot into prison surrounded by harden criminals and learning how to navigate his new life as a felon. To read Cory's entire story purchase his book at the link below. https://defiancepress.com/product/tragedy-in-america/
The I Am Pitts Podcast is back after a much needed and extended break and there is a lot to catch up on. After taking some some time off and reconnecting with reality, I have come to realize how much I really despise social media. LMPD releases the video of officers throwing slushes on random people and the LMPD Chief is grilled on the stand about lying and an incident from her past comes to light. Nikki Haley has brown skin? That's news to me! Lastly, things in the Middle East are heating up as three U.S. troops are killed by a drone attack. Where does America go from here?
On this episode, I am joined by my special guest, retired Navy Seal Jacob Bachmann. Jacob spent 10 years of his life in the Seal Teams. During that time, he had multiple combat deployments. It was during Jacob's second deployment to Afghanistan, his Seal Team (Team 4) lost Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew Kantor. Kantor was shot and killed in action on November 1, 2012, while providing suppressive fire for his Seal Team brothers. Kantor's actions that day saved the lives of all his brothers. In order to keep Kantor's memory and sacrifice alive, Jacob is on a mission to raise $10,000 dollars to donate to the Navy Seal Foundation. On January 14, 2024, Jacob and his fellow seals will take part in a 3.5 mile open water swim in Tampa Bay to help aid the Navy Seal Foundation in it's mission to "provide critical support for the warriors, veterans and and families of Naval Special Warfare." After an extended leave of absence, I try to knock the dust off the mic and get back into the swing of things with a lot to discuss. If you watch the news at all, you probably seen me on the news a few times after dealing with a Jefferson County Public School bus incident. Due to charges pending and a possible lawsuit, I can't say much but we can read some of the Facebook comments! Americans are torn between supporting Israel or Palestine. I am finally speaking out and telling the people where I stand. Illegal immigrants are fleeing America back to their native country saying "the American dream is dead." I will explain why I am not sad to see them leaving. Lastly, the weight the badge is heavy and comes with a high price. Officers from the LA Sheriff's Department and Austin Police Department are finding that out the hard way.
In this episode, I am back out west in one of my favorite places, Arizona, chilling with my homies! It's been three years since I have been to AZ, and it feels good to be back. Although it's not my first time being in AZ, but it is the first time attending a country concert (Jason Alden). I am also joined on this episode by friends, who are also returning guest, Stew and Johanny. Stew's wife Kerri also joins us as we discuss Travis King being turned back over to the U.S. after trying to defect to North Korea, the Philly influencer "Meatball" being arrested for live streaming a looting spree. It's been a while since I talked about anything NFL related, but I feel it is necessary to talk about Colin Kaepernick and the Washington Commanders hypocrisy. Lastly, we talk about Dianne Feinstein being taking out of hospice to vote and Congressmen Jamaal Bowman pulling the fire alarm during a crucial vote.
Honor and shame. America has become a country where we bestow honor to those who do not deserve it and we refuse to shame those who deserve to be shamed. Being bestowed honor comes with a lot of responsibility, but that seems to be a foreign concept to US government officials. We have elected officials who are 80 and 90 years old making decisions for the country, a senator who has had two strokes in front of us, and a senator who refuses to put on a suit and present himself in a professional manor while representing the United States Government. As Americans brace for another government shutdown, our government continues to dishonor our hard work and taxes by funding Ukraine and it's citizens and illegal migrants from across the world while ignoring the suffering and needs of our own citizens. Being a police officer is an honorable job, but not every police officer is honorable. I discuss two situations involving officers not bringing honor to the badge. One of which caused a media firestorm in Columbus, Ohio after a female officer threatened to lock up an 11 year-old girl and charge her with making child porn. Lastly, we see what true honor looks like on full display as we watch the body camera footage of an LMPD officer being shot in the line of duty and him being dragged to safety by his partner. Our elected officials could learn a lot about what true honor and sacrifice looks like from Officer Brandon Haley and Officer Colin Billotto.
In this episode, I reunite with Nikhil Kumra after over a decade. He and I served together in the infantry in Iraq in 2004 with the 10th Mountain Division. His brother Ajay, who is also a U.S. Army veteran, joins us as we talk about their new business, Resilience Integrative Wellness, where they are using ketamine therapy to help veterans, first responders, and citizens who have suffered severe trauma regain their lives, find peace, relief, and obtain an optimal level of wellness in their everyday life. When people hear the word ketamine, they instantly associate it with negative thoughts, but current research is proving that those negative thoughts are stigma's of the past. Listen to this episode as Nikhil and Ajay help you see ketamine therapy as a new way to healing your mind and reclaiming your life back from the trauma that robbed you of it. In this episode, I try to unpack the mystery of white women and their need to acknowledge how beautiful my black skin is. The crazy plane lady speaks and I use the crazy hot scale to show you all how crazy she really is. A Seattle Police Officer retires and writes a 15 page email to the mayor and city council. I tell you all why I am not impressed with her email. It has been 20 plus years since the War On Terror started. It is time for Iraq War veterans to make peace with the war. I break down and weigh in on the Dallas police officers who "laughed and mocked a disabled war vet who urinated on himself." Lastly, former President Donald Trump is arrested and has his mugshot taken. This should concern all Americans regardless of your political affliction.
On this episode I discuss the new Little Mermaid after having watched it with my family. The first thing I noticed about the movie was that there was too much diversity and it didn't make sense. Are you thinking about sending a d!ck pic to a person you met on a dating app? Just realize that you might get blackmailed with your own d!ck pick as there has been an up-tic in people being extorted by their bad decisions. The bar for entertainment and popularity in America counties to be lowered with people like Adam22, Lena The Plug and Pinkydoll leading the charge. Lastly, do you suffer from time blindness?
July has been a crazy month filed with root canals, traveling and crazy people! Despite being a few weeks behind on the podcast, I think it's important that I talk about some recent topics such as the lady on the plane who claims a person was not real, the Carlee Russell incident, The US Soldier who defected to North Korea. I know we are not suppose to talk about 2020, but considering Jason Alden's new song and video, I think it's time we talk about 2020 even though they don't want us to.
This week I am joined in studio by Jason Kiefer who is 1/3 of the One More And I'm Outta Here Podcast. Jason came down to hang with me for the day so we could have a little man date with zero man love. I showed Jason around Louisville and even took him on a quick trip through the hood to see the best spots for getting the best friend chicken in town and the highest probability of becoming a murder victim, hence why we call it murder chicken! After our drive, we watched The Sound Of Freedom, which we will discuss in this episode along with a lot of other interesting topics. Be sure to follow the One More And I'm Outt Here Podcast and subscribe to their youtube channel. You won't regret it! https://www.youtube.com/@onemoreandimouttahere
In this episode, I am joined by fellow author and veteran, Christian Bussler. He is the author of No Greater Honor No Tougher Duty: A Memoir Of A Mortuary Affairs Marine. His book takes you on a front seat ride with him through his three combat tours in Iraq, him being wounded, and most of all, his mission to recover the remains of his fallen service members and get them home to their families. The first time I came across Bussler was his episode on the Jocko Podcast. I was so taken with his story that I reached out to him on social media and he took me under his wing and helped guide me through the process of writing my own book. His book has had so much success that it has been optioned to be adapted into a movie! Strap yourselves in and hold on for this amazing, gut wrenching, and tear jerker of an interview. Note. I was not crying. It's allergy season here in Kentucky Be sure to pick up a copy of the book for yourself! https://www.amazon.com/No-Tougher-Duty-Greater-Honor/dp/1546604936
As the world anxiously waits to learn the fate of the wealthy people who paid $250,000 dollars to see the Titanic, everyone is asking "why would anyone pay that much money to do that?" Sit back and listen to me explain why I think rich people get board and do wild, and crazy stuff the rest of us average income people would never imagine doing. The Biden administration holds a Pride party at the White House that ends with transgender titties bouncing on the White House lawn. Juneteenth celebrations turn violent as shootings kill one and sends dozens more to the hospital. Lastly, being cop is great, but is it enough? I explain to everyone the new path that God has placed me on and my new hobby that is making me feel alive - Ju Jitsu!
Summer time is upon us and that means more work and crazy police calls and encounters for me while I am on the streets. In this episode, I share some of my experiences on the streets over the list few weeks which includes some very unforgettable young people. With all the things I see and encounter in my job as a police officer, it always reminds me that I need to be present and active in my children's lives. It's officially every major corporations favorite month - Pride Month. I talk about how pride parades are nothing more than a celebration of perversion and debauchery that has nothing to empowering gay people. Lastly, I talk about the debt ceiling, illegal immigration and the three things that need to happen immediately to change the American system of government to a government for the people, not the elite ruling class known as politicians.
After an extended hiatus and much needed break, I am back for episode 96! In this episode I explain my absence over the last few weeks and give the United States Navy crap for using drag queens to recruit and advertise. For the first time in my adult life, I now tell young Americans to reconsider joining the military due to it's priorities being out of line. You tell we are entering the political voting season because of the pandering to the black community and warning them not to travel to Florida if they care about their lives. Lastly, in a world media bias and misinformation, where do you go to get your news? I share with you all the three main podcast I consume to be informed.
The month of April has been emotionally and mentally taxing to not only me, but all of my fellow officers in Louisville and our families. Multiple mass shootings, unprecedented violence, and drama at every level of life. In this episode I talk about Louisville's mass shooting, the 9th street divide and how I am seeing America's illegal immigration problem start to manifest where I work. This episode was recorded on April 8, 2023, two days before the Old National Bank mass shooting here in Louisville. In this episode, I interview two retired LMPD officers, Lieutenant Dale Massey and Sergeant Eric Culver who have over 40 years of combined police experience and 22 years of SWAT experience. They are the founders of STAT (Strategic Threat Assessment Training). They train people and businesses for an active aggressor event by teaching them their three pillars of survival: escape, evade and engage. Following the most recent shootings in Nashville and Louisville, there has never been a more urgent time to start training and preparing , your families, businesses, schools, churches...etc for the next tragic incident. You know it's coming. So why not be ready? The response time when you call 911 is one to three minutes. What are you prepared to do in those one to three minutes until help arrives? Minutes matter and minutes can be the difference between survival or being evil's latest victim. Go to activeaggressor.com to learn more about STAT and how they can help prepare your business or organization to survive the unthinkable.
On this episode, my son has gone viral on IG with almost 2 million views I tell you all my disgust for social media, more so Tik Tok, especially Tik Tok cops and reaction videos. Nashville Police Department officers set the standard for how to properly respond to an active shooter. The media, Biden Administration and Trans Activist have turned the Nashville school shooter into the victim. Is the Trans movement in America taking over? Are trans people created in the image of God? President Biden seems to think so. Lastly, women in America are losing their rights to men. Why have real, biological women not stood up together against the trans madness pushing them out of sports and erasing all their hard work? Imagine working at a job for 20 plus year with honor, loyalty and integrity. Now imagine being injured working that same job, due to no fault of your own, and your "leaders" at your job turn their backs on you and throw you to the wolves after all you sacrificed for them and the organization. Even worse, imagine waking up everyday knowing that there is a bounty on your head and that your family is in danger as well for being guilty by association to you. Think about trying to relax and unwind by turning on the TV, and you hear the President of the United States, Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, and your favorite professional athlete speaking ill of you and spreading lies. That has been the life of retired LMPD Sergeant John Mattingly after he was shot on the night of March 13, 2020 while assisting with the search warrant at Breonna Taylor's apartment. In this episode, we talk about John's early life, the truth about this incident that the media, politicians and police leaders refuse to admit. More importantly, we talk about the future of America and policing. If you want to know the truth about this entire incident from start to finish, pick up a copy of John's book "12 Seconds In The Dark" at the link below. https://www.amazon.com/12-Seconds-Dark-Officers-Firsthand/dp/1956007016

In this episode, I sit down and chat with Author Jarrod Taylor who recently published his first book "No Shit Here I Am: A Soldier's Stories of Life During And After the War on Terror". Jarrod, just like me, served in the 10th Mountain Division. His book is an honest and eye opening depiction of what life is like on the ground for troops on the frontline. He catches the essences of everything that combat is for infantry soldiers. We discuss life after combat and where life has taken Jarrod since. Chinese balloons, UFO's and train derailments! February has been interesting thus far. But being that it is February and it's Black History Month, I need clarification from the black community. Is soul food: fried chicken, watermelon, greens, mac and cheese, corn bread, chittlins'... etc, the food of "the culture" and "the people" or is it not? Black folks, it's time to make a decision! Don't be offended by a soul food menu, but then be ok and cosign on a Black History Month police car. Is it time for police departments to disband their community relations departments? Lastly, are black people still being hunted down and lynched in America? President Biden seems to think so.
The interview I have been waiting for! I am joined in studio by my wife Christina. We discuss our history, marriage, children and family life. But most importantly, we have an unfiltered conversation about her life as the wife of a police officer. You all have heard my say it many times, officers never serve alone; our families serve with us. Christina opens up about what it was like for her during the "fiery, but mostly peaceful" 2020 riots. It's a perspective that is often overlooked and overshadowed by those who wear the uniform. It is time that we recognize that we cannot do what we do without the love and support from our significant others.
What is a good person? There are four things people do that reveal their true character and if they are a decent person or not. I confess in this episode that I fail daily doing one of these activities. I talk about the Memphis Police incident and how the news refuses to let black people take any sort of responsibility or accountability for the incident, but puts the blame on white supremacy. Lastly, how is all that police reform working out for you? In this episode I reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the lessons he taught us as a nation that we no longer adhere to or believe. I do a deep dive on the left vs right divide that continues to split the country when it comes politics, the January 6th incident at the Capitol and how Americans believe they only have two options. I give my two cents on the La Lergne Police Department "sex scandel" that has created some of the greatest meme's of our time. Have you ever had any awkward encounters with family, friends or an old fling while on patrol? I have. Let me tell you all about it.

After a horrible seven days in Orlando, I am back to remind everyone not to judge and compare the quality of their lives to someone's two minute Instagram reel. It's easy to smile and dance in front of a cell phone for two minutes, while living the other 23 hours and 58 minutes in absolute dispair. Mental health in America continues to be a problem that we ignore until tragedy strikes and it's too late. Let's make 2023 the year we bring mental health to the forefront and save countless lives. Let's save our friends and family members instead of burying them. In honor of my 18th Alive Day Celebration (the day I almost died in Iraq) I've included a sample from my book “I Am Pitts: Memoirs Of An American Patriot” about that fateful night in Iraq on January 2, 2005.
The culture (the black community) goes after Coach Deion Sanders for accepting a coaching job at Colorado. Louisville Mayor Elect Craig Greenburg and President Biden are doing it for the culture with their most recent actions by hiring a new inter chief at LMPD and bringing Brittney Griner home. What is the future of Louisville and the police department under the leadership of new Mayor Elect Craig Greenberg? In an open letter to the new mayor elect, I share my first and only encounter with Craig Greenburg in May of 2021. LMPD Chief Shields resigns, but she is not leaving quietly. Lastly, I pay tribute to one of my favorite street people, Mark Anthony Mulligan.
After 10 years with the Louisville Metro Police Department, it is time for me to move on. In this episode I explain why I have decided to start a new chapter in my life. The mid-terms are over and America is still divided. Is it time for America to move on from Trump? Who do we the people look to for answers in this current political environment when we do not trust our current leaders and election process? Lastly, I break down and give my opinion on a controversial police use of force incident involving two Hardin County Sheriff's Deputies and a Kentucky State Trooper which has led to an investigation by the FBI and the former Hardin County Sheriff Deputy, turned Louisville Metro Police Officer being fired. After a brief vacation and trip to the Mississippi Delta cotton fields, I am finally back to discuss the greatest danger to America - the military recruiting crisis that threatens our national security. Is Navy Seal training too difficult and dangerous? According to journalist Matthew Cole, it is. Listen to me give my 5 cents on the topic. Police departments and please leaders are drinking the woke kool-aid of inclusion and diversity, but I refuse to partake in drinking from that cup. Lastly, a moment of silence for all the officer who had their lives cut short in the line of duty the last few weeks. On this episode of the I Am Pitts Podcast, I interview Author Adam B. Colemen, the author of "Black Victim To Black Victor." After hearing Adam on the Citizen Podcast, I was inspired by his story and his message. In this interview, you will hear Adam and I discuss his book which focuses on the many issues that plague the black community from fatherless home, crime, employment and negative media influences. A lot of people are afraid to talk about the many issues impacting the black community, but Adam's book takes a bold step forward into a forbidden place to have a forbidden conversation that black people are scorned and for acknowledging and exiled for speaking out against accepted black cultural standards that reenforce the black victim mentality.
