In this "Kim on a Whim" segment, Kim St. Onge joins Marc Cox to explore Missouri State Highway Patrol's rollout of stealth vehicles with “ghost graphics.” They dive into the public's mixed reactions, concerns about impersonation risks, and the debate over whether these low-visibility tactics improve safety or reduce public trust. The conversation also touches on broader issues, including police manpower shortages, enforcement of non-emergency calls, and how Missouri's approach compares to other countries' policing methods.

Send us a textRide along as Jason OldeCarrGuy Carr and John CustomCarNerd Meyer talk about the new policy to decommission all Royal Canadian Mounted Police cars by sending them to the crusher. This new policy, born from a horrific crime spree in April 2020, no longer allows decommissioned police vehicle from being sold at auction. The cars, and other vehicles, are being stored and crushed at the expense of the Canadian tax payers. Understanding the thought behind preventing another tragedy, as car guys, Jason and John give their take on this policy.Decommissioned police cars have long been an economical way for young automotive enthusiasts to get into the automotive hobby. Rose City Counter-Info, a self-described "anarchist" group based in Portland, Oregon, took credit Monday for having “torched” 15 police cars at the Portland Police Bureau's (PPB) training facility. The group says last week's attack was a "preemptive" one, pointing to recent police intervention at anti-Israel college campus protests nationwide. It noted on its blog members "cut through a fence, set ten fires and are happy it grew to burn fifteen cars!” “After seeing Humboldt, Columbia, UCLA and more we knew the occupation at [Portland State University] would be swept violently and wanted to attack PPB before,” the group wrote. “While we respect the student occupations, particularly the ones occupying buildings and causing damages to the colleges, we hate to see them passive and waiting to be attacked."

When you hear a police siren blaring around the corner, you're already expecting to see a sedan painted in certain colors rushing past you. But have you ever wondered why exactly police cars are painted in colors they use? In fact, there are plenty of reasons for that in any given country. Let's take the USA and Canada for example. When first North American police cars appeared in the early 1900s, pretty much all automobiles were painted black, and law enforcers weren't any exception. Later, most authorities across the US thought it prudent to make police cars easily recognizable to the public. And so they worked out a color palette that would be both symbolic and affordable for the budget. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Chinese balloons, UFO's and train derailments! February has been interesting thus far. But being that it is February and it's Black History Month, I need clarification from the black community. Is soul food: fried chicken, watermelon, greens, mac and cheese, corn bread, chittlins'... etc, the food of "the culture" and "the people" or is it not? Black folks, it's time to make a decision! Don't be offended by a soul food menu, but then be ok and cosign on a Black History Month police car. Is it time for police departments to disband their community relations departments? Lastly, are black people still being hunted down and lynched in America? President Biden seems to think so.

Just 3 years later, Loftsgard moved to oval short tracks in Arizona, where he ran in the ASA Factory Stock division at Havasu 95 Speedway. Full Hour | In today's second hour, Giordano leads off by discussing the rampant crime in and around Krasnerland, the name he's given Philadelphia during the crime-ridden time spent under District Attorney Larry Krasner. First, Giordano reveals a couple stories throughout the city, including a man who shot and killed a person stealing his car in his backyard, and a pizza man that was carjacked with his family in the car. Then, Giordano reveals that a woman that McSwain had investigated after the murder of George Floyd has pled guilty in connection to setting fire to police vehicles during the protests, taking umbrage with the CBS3 coverage of the news, taking aim at a former Deputy Commissioner who tried discrediting the U.S. Attorney's role in the situation. Then, Pastor Bill Devlin, CEO of Octane Faith, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to provide another daily update from on the ground in Ukraine. Bill reveals that, because of being in the war torn country, his train into Kyiv was regrettably delayed, but tells what it's like on the scene from his post in Western Ukraine. Pastor Bill tells listeners how they can donate, referring them to his website, WidowsAndOrphans.info, and tells what's still needed on the front lines in Ukraine.
