Ali was on the BravoTV reality show, Stripped in 2017, and shares her experience being on the show and what she learned from it. For those of you who didn't watch, Stripped was a series that exposed people's relationships with their personal belongings as they gave up everything they owned (furniture, clothing, money and all possessions) for 21 days. During these 21 days, participants were still expected to go about their daily lives by showing up to work, maintaining their families & keeping up with social circles- without their everyday necessities. Ali had a transformative journey, as she publicly struggled between the pull of starting a family or continue to grow in her career.     This week on RFT Brenna sits down with Nicole Stillings, podcaster, DJ and TV personality. Nicole went from a 9-5 marketing job to living out her dream in entertainment. She shares her childhood experience living in the midwest in a tension filled house while her parents were divorcing. Nicole got into therapy due to a court mandated appointment and found value in it from the start. Nicole explains how her parents divorce affected her, and how her court mandated therapy was her saving grace during her dads diagnosis/treatment/passing. In regards to grieving after her dad's passing, Nicole says “When you lose a parent at a young age, 9 out of 10 people have not been through something similar. I think a lot of times people think they are doing you a favor by avoiding the topic because they don't want to upset you, but I felt really lonely because I felt like I couldn't talk to a lot of my friends about it.” Nicole shares ways that she still connects with her dad daily although he's not physically here with her.
