Illana Karcinski, co-founder of Fairytale Pet Care, a unique wedding day pet care company, discusses her entrepreneurial journey, revealing how the idea originated from observing a common problem in the hospitality industry where couples struggled with including their pets in their wedding. She explains how Fairytale Petcare offers a range of services including pet sitting, round trip transportation, attire rentals, and even a 'Dog of Honor' video service. Initially self-funded with minimal investment, Ilana and her co-founder grew the company by leveraging their hospitality and pet care experience. They later expanded through franchising after extensive research and trial. The conversation also covers their Shark Tank experience, which significantly boosted inquiries and led to new franchise openings. Fairytale Petcare emphasizes low startup costs, potential for scalability, and continuous quality service. They also focus on giving back by helping homeless animals find homes through various charitable programs. Ilana provides insights on social media strategies that have worked for them and the importance of asking for help and utilizing local entrepreneurial resources. Overall, the interview is a deep dive into how Fairytale Petcare not only meets a market need but also creates magical experiences for pets and owners alike.

I'm so excited to welcome you back to another episode of “May is for Mamas” where every episode in the month of May is dedicated to mamas. Today, we are talking with an expert on health, nourishing ourselves, and how to change our families forever by taking care of our bodies with the food that we eat. I'm so excited for you to hear from Ilana Muhlstein. Now, if you've ever been part of the “Beach Body” program or heard of the “2B Mindset”, this is who created it. Guys, I'm geeking out. I don't usually say “Yes” to people who I get random emails from in my inbox, but when I saw hers come thorough, I started geeking out because I personally have done “2B Mindset”, I've gone through her program (I've done it last year, I'm doing it now), I believe in it and it works. So I thought to share something that's been so life changing for me with my listeners with Illana herself would be such a gift, especially in the month of May for “May is for Mamas.” So I'm so excited. She is a dietician, a nutritionist, and a best-selling author. Guys, at the age of 13, Ilana weighed over 200 pounds. Her story is so inspiring. She came up with this model that really works and I can say that honestly because it works for me. It is like a track to run on; so helpful. The conversation is going to be so great. I hope you enjoy this episode of “May is for Mamas” with Ilana Muhlstein. In today's episode, I'm joined by former professional dancer and founder of Dance Box, Illana Gambrill for an inspiring discussion about moving our bodies with acceptance and joy! Illana started Dance Box after experiencing the immense healing power of dance after a challenging childhood and wanting to change the narrative for herself and others. Illana says “I grew up believing that I was nothing, that I wasn't deserving of holding my own place in the room. I was very anxious and I just knew that I couldn't continue. I made the decision to heal it. And I chose to heal it with other people as well. It was difficult to rewire but knowing I could help others spurred me on.” In our conversation today you'll hear about: Illana's own journey of healing through dance and how the reality of the professional dance world didn't bring the joy that she expected it to Movement as a raw and natural expression and one of the most natural forms of medicine that can help us to ‘release the mask' we wear in public and on social media How Illana is teaching women to be unapologetic in their passion and truth and the authenticity and confidence that comes from releasing ourselves in dance Dispelling the narrative ‘I can't be sexy because I'm a Mom' The habits that help Illana to maintain her own power and energy on a daily basis following a mental breakdown in 2020 Illana's DanceBox App that allows anyone to join a dance class from anywhere in the world. Now, while you're listening today, think about how you can take what you learn and put it into practice. Take action in any way that's meaningful for you. And as always you'll find the links and details of today's show and all the other shows in this series at my new website michellereeveswrites.com/podcast

Many clients work with Illana to level up or transition to a new phase in their work. They often struggle to determine what is valuable and worth pursuing, and what they should leave behind. And in all of this, consider impact and understand what is possible based on personal experiences and available resources.Good Business is hosted by Illana Burk, CEO of Your Life's Workshop llc and strategic coach to entrepreneurs, creative leaders, and industry disruptors the world over. Ooof, this one hit hard. Illana Gambrill, founder of Dancebox, opens up about the moment she divorced her husband. The exact moment she knew it was the end and had to walk out and learn to love herself again. And the years it took to shake off and dance through the pain of losing herself. She speaks about wishing there was some easy ‘out' like an affair or something more dramatic. But the reality was they were just not meant for each other and that's sometimes harder to leave. This is one woman who is empowering other women through dance to be themselves. Live their lives. However that looks. Whoever they want that to be with. Original music by Matt J Brown at WeAreOK.com.
On this episode of Build Better Brands, Danielle Clarke is joined by Illana Gambrill, lover of dance and founder of Dance Box. Illana runs online and pop-up dance classes for all, with a focus on empowerment. She has turned her passion into her career and the pair talk about how starting a business and growing a meaningful brand are achievable.KEY TAKEAWAYSWhen I was 12 years old, I decided this was what I was going to do with the rest of my life. I started at a local dance school because I had this innate passion to move, I just loved it. I begged and pleaded to be allowed to spend all day on Saturdays at dance school, from 9am-6pm. I stepped into the first class and took to it like I'd done it my whole life and many lifetimes before. I got into a professional dance college, but it was really toxic, they turned you into robots and encouraged eating disorders. At 27 I decided to take my life into my own hands and stop putting my worth into what other people thought of me, and I wanted to give back to the human race rather than just to dancers, that's when Dance Box was born.I've had the business for nine years and it's been hard. I used to do classes seven days a week and people wouldn't show up, because they've got other responsibilities as adults. But, I persisted, I never let it go and I kept it going, there's more to come.Dance studios are notorious for being unwelcoming to new people and scary. It's vulnerable to dance in front of a room full of people. If you've never danced before you really need to feel safe. That's what sets Dance Box apart, you could never have danced in your life but you're going to feel so welcome, so loved and supported. BEST MOMENTS‘At 13 I was asked to join a dance class that was 16 and up, and I'd never felt so honoured, it was the best time of my life, I was so inspired, I was obsessed.'‘My motivation comes from an unshakable knowing, deep down that this is what I'm supposed to do and that everything isn't going to be easy to get where you want to be.'‘Dance is such a special thing and such a magical thing to do with your body. I'm going to bring back joy for other people and I'm healing my wounds as well.'‘You need to be showing up as your authentic self, if you're not it's soul destroying to watch.'ABOUT THE GUESTIllana Gambrill has been dancing since the age of 12 – starting her professional career in dance at the age of 18.Illana has worked alongside many artists in music videos, TV shows and tours. After travelling the world with dance, Illana gained an extensive amount of experience and now shares her incredible passion of dance with the world – DanceBoxWebsite: https://www.dance-box.co.uk/ Instagram: @danceboxofficialPODCAST DESCRIPTIONThe Build Better Brands podcast is to inspire small business owners and help them realise that they don't have to be Nike to have a great brand, and the sooner they start to focus on making it better, the sooner they can improve their lives and the lives of others. On the show I'll be talking to business owners that have built brands from the ground up. Can finding the right mentor at the right time make all the difference for young women? If you were to ask Illana Raia, she'd say yes. Studies have shown that girls' confidence drops between ages 8 and 14, and many girls start to quit their hobbies and interests before they get to high school. To counter this, Illana Raia founded Être Girls, a company whose mission is to keep girls close to what they love by offering curated free resources and inspiring female role models right when they need them. In today's episode of Celebrations Chatter, Illana shares all about Etre Girls, how her daughter was the inspiration behind it all, and how mentorship changes the lives of so many young women. Grief is the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or a change in a familiar pattern of behavior. Using that definition, chances are that you have recently grieved for something or someone. With everything that has happened in the past two years and continues to happen, it's about time we had a conversation about grief. Podcast guests, Ilana Yahdav, MPA, and Kim Hanlon, MA, are Grief Advocates and Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialists. They co-founded Yahdav & Hanlon Grief Support out of a shared passion for offering individual grief support and enhancing corporate wellness programs to support employees around loss and life changes. In this episode, Ilana and Kim define grief, which you'll be surprised to hear how all-encompassing it is. We talk about the very non-linear grieving process, how we judge ourselves and others for how we grieve, and how employers can address grief. Illana and Kim leave us with ways to support our own grief, including the recent Roe v Wade decision and what to do with all of the emotions that may be coming up from it. What is the value of a great mentor? Why does mentorship matter for lawyers? You may think back to your time as a junior associate and remember the specific people who impacted and helped shape your career from the beginning.
