POPULARITY
After a long technical difficulty hiatus (solved by a $7 SD card purchase), The Kings of Drink Mountain return to rule over your ears. As they test out a very relaxed offering from Sprite, they also get down to important business like the deadly deals at Carmax, the specialty corners at the adult expo, the right kinds of batteries for a tesla, and some important Punjabi words you need to know. In addition, Braindead Trivia makes its triumphant return, bringing along some braindead Monopoly chat and an equally moronic song lyrics thing that our host tries (and fails) to do. It's a lot of amazingness packed into 35 minutes, so get yourself into a safe, braced position, and hit play on this episode of America's Favorite Podcast!
Candice Lim and Kate Lindsay talk about the backlash surrounding The Cutting Room Floor, a fashion podcast you may know from its Leandra Medine Cohen episode or its viral Steve Madden interview. Last week, host and creator Recho Omondi went on TikTok to hire a full-time staffer who would be an office administrator, bookings coordinator, and personal assistant. Fans were intrigued until she dropped that this role would pay a salary of $55,000 with no healthcare benefits. TikTok reacted strongly and immediately, taking issue with the low salary and bringing up the privileged candidate who could afford to take a job like this in New York City. Omondi responded by going on TikTok Live and posting a short Patreon episode she titled “$55k Gate,” but doubling down seemed to triple the discourse. Get more of ICYMI with Slate Plus! Twins Off-Daily celebrates its first 50 episodes by revisiting some of the best moments of the podcast. There's thank-yous laughs, gripes, awkward silence, and a never-before-seen clip from an episode buried to the sands of time.
We have reached episode 170 of The Steve & Crypto Show! In this episode, we run through some more horror tv/movie news and mention some movies we've been watching lately before we invite our friend Willie into our podcasting space to spoil one of those very films, 28 Years Later. Don't worry, one of us hasn't seen the film yet and we know some of you haven't either so you'll be warned when it's time to mute or skip ahead. We usually save the spoiler talk for Patreon but we thought we'd spill the beans here for anyone who's curious and doesn't mind hearing about this recent sequel. The world, as we know it, has changed since Reopening the Wormhole disappeared. In the multi-year absence of America's Favorite Podcast, society has begun to crumble; systems have collapsed, governments have disintegrated, and the world order feels like a distant memory. Is it too late for humanity to be saved? Is the return of RTW too little, too late? We can only hope that it's not, as we release the next in our Tongo Wheel experience: the classic TNG episode Captain's Holiday! Recorded all the way back in 2023 (oh how young and naive we once were), this episode sees the Ferenginator Kregg joining the RTW hosts to talk about Picard Indiana Jonesing his way through adventure, love, and irascible Ferengi shenanigans. Can this delayed release atone for RTW's prolonged absence, or will it remain one last gasp of hope for a dying race? Time will tell… Be on the lookout for a Pissedcard Smackdown, and an epic rap by Jack. And rejoice for the beautiful, easy banter of a bygone era. VASH THE STAMPEDE!!! To hear your email read on a future episode, mail us at: reopeningthewormhole@gmail.com Check out Jack on Jack's Silly Little Friendly Neighborhood Star Trek: Discovery, Short Treks, Picard, and Lower Decks Podcast at jacksdiscovery.libsyn.com or on Apple Podcasts. Listen to 2 albums' worth of RTW music on any of your favorite streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and so much more! Also, hear Jack and friend of the show Geoff Clarke talk about all things Planet of the Apes on The Apecast at theapecast.libsyn.com or on your favorite podcatcher. Hear Sam and friend of the show Brian Rudloff talk about Marvel Star Wars comics on Marvel Star Wars Explorers at marvelstarwarsexplorers.com or on Stitcher or Apple Podcasts. Hear Jack & Richard Dunham discuss the classic 80s anime film Akira one minute on a time on Akira Minute at akiraminute.com or on your favorite podcatcher. Check out Kev's bracket-centric podcast The Great Bracket Racket on any of your favorite pod catchers, where you can hear all the RTW folx talking about various things, like Eminem! Lastly, check out Sam & Cam Siemer talking about early 90s Star Wars novellas on Young Jedi Knights Club at youngjediknights.club or on your favorite pod catcher.

Ah nature... The Kings of Drink Mountain are back to partake in the natural splendor of the coastal redwoods, via the magic of placemats. Will today's beverage live up to the majesty of the scenery? Did (non-fascist) America's Favorite Podcast break into another cottage to record? Is Charles Manson rubbing your earlobes right now? Find out the answers to these questions, along with the ones in Braindead Trivia by listening now! Plus, you'll learn about the new slogan for strawberries, how we keep our butler Higgins on staff, what "loving act" is a natural theremin, and the (self-described) must-know Quote of 2025! Also, find out if Josh is on a general strike or just a very specific one... So load up the station wagon and join in on a road trip of a lifetime with the One True Religion: Drinks With Josh!
