In September 2015, the authorities found Lindsey Haugen with an unresponsive man in her car. That person was later identified as Robby Mast, her boyfriend of less than a month, and he was dead. In this episode we focus on the strange reason why Lindsey claimed to have killed Robby and what happened in the aftermath. Let's discuss....

On April 13, 2018, Shannon Mani failed to pick up her brother that afternoon and she was a no show at work. Shannon's parents grew very concerned about their daughter whereabouts because this was not like her at all.  After countless efforts to reach her via texts. A missing person's report would be filed. In hopes of finding their daughter. But, only a few days after her disappearance. Shannon's body would be found, and an unlikely suspect would confess to the crime but only acting in self-defense. In this week's "True Crime Tuesday" episode, the SIP n UnWINE ladies discuss the untimely death of Shanquella Robinson, a 25 year old woman who traveled to Mexico from the U.S. with a group of "friends" at the end of October, but she didn't return home alive. What happened to her is still a mystery and each day since this case went viral earlier this month, there is a new development in this case.

On March 9, 2010, Cavona Camea Flenoy met with Hassan Abbas, who picked her up in his car. Before going out somewhere, he said he wanted to go back to his place and freshen up since he'd just come from work. Flenoy agreed, and they went to his apartment in Platte County, Missouri, crossing state lines from Kansas City. That night ended in the murder of one of them. Let's dig in and talk about this case. 

On November 4, 2013, a Wells-Fargo bank in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania would be robbed of a little over 81,000 dollars.  The same would happen again at another location a few miles away on November 12, 2013, with a little over 71,000 dollars stolen from that bank. There were three masked men to hit both institutions demanding money and walking away undiscovered all in a matter of seconds. Until one day detectives would get the big break, they needed from an unexpected source. This individual would reveal the true identity of one of the assailants and disclosing that there was a fourth person involved, a female, who was an employee of Wells- Fargo. A brutal triple murder at a house in November 2000 left the victims' loved ones to pick up the pieces. On that fateful night, Deandra Buchanan killed three people dear to him, including the mother of his children. Elizabeth Wettlaufer is a convicted Canadian serial killer and former registered nurse, whose case prompted widespread public outrage and made headlines internationally. On September 16, 2016, Wettlaufer admitted herself into a psychiatric hospital because she was tired of killing. While there she would confess to a staff psychiatrist, she murdered 8 people and made several attempts to murder more by overdosing her patients on lethal doses of insulin. It would be several years after the initial murders before this angel of death would ever be convicted. But, after a thorough investigation along with a verbal and handwritten confession. On June 26, 2017, Wettlaufer was sentenced to serve 8 consecutive life sentences with no possibility of parole for 25 years.

Danielle Redlick  is charged in the stabbing death of her estranged husband, former NBA executive Michael Redlick. 65-year-old Michael “Red” Redlick was found fatally stabbed in his Winter Park, Florida home in January 2019. His estranged wife Danielle, waited 11 hours before calling 911 to seek medical attention. Danielle initially told the 911 operator that her husband had a heart attack.   We also discuss the Pieper Lewis Case.

In November 2000, Air Force sergeant Derrick Tolliver lost his life senselessly due to the greed of his "supposed to be soon ex-wife" Theresa Tolliver and her boyfriend Emanuel Fonzie, who included his childhood friend, Jeremy Farr. Keana Barnes a Louisiana native was a woman on the run and a cold-calculated killer. Barnes befriended and murdered two men, James (Jimmy) Shepherd and Perry (PJ) Jennings because they got in her way.  She managed to escape the authorities not once, but twice, the first time in 2002 and again in 2003.  Barnes went from being a wife, lover and friend to become a fugitive listed on the FBI's top 15 most wanted. For many decades, the Murdaugh family name came to represent a legal dynasty in coastal South Carolina, where three successive generations controlled the local prosecutor's office. In recent years, the family has been closely connected to bloody tragedy. In 2018, the family nanny/housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield, died at the Murdaugh residence. There was a fatal boating crash in 2019 that killed Mallory Beach. In 2021, son Paul Murdaugh and wife Maggie Murdaugh were killed in June. Shortly after that, Alex Murdaugh was shot and don't forget about the allegations of misappropriated funds and drug abuse. On the morning of March 11, 2005, the Atlanta, Georgia metro-area could have never predicted a prison break and a mass shooter happening all in one day. There would be a massive hunt conducted and orchestrated to capture 33-year-old Brian Nichols, a fugitive on the run.  This search would bring about multiple law enforcement agents from several local police departments to the FBI and ICE all of whom were hunting down one man. Nichols would leave behind 4 dead and one brutally beaten.

Richard Ramirez dubbed the Night Stalker was an American serial killer, serial rapist, kidnapper, child molester, and burglar whose crime spree took place in California between June 1984 and August 1985. He was convicted and sentenced to death in 1989.   We also give an update to Sip N UnWINE's episode #43 with the Nancy Crampton-Brophy murder case.  

It was February 4, 2007, Super Bowl Sunday.  A 9-1-1 call would be made from the Bennett's household around 11:30pm, to report a murder.  Paris Bennett,13, made a call that would change his family forever.  The monstrous crime he committed left a grieving mother, Charity Bennett with more questions than answers. Until her son Paris confesses to her why he violently killed his 4-year-old sister, Ella Lee Bennett.

On May 1990 when Marlene Warren opened her door and was shot in the face by a clown delivering carnations and balloons to her home in Wellington, a suburb of West Palm Beach, Florida. Police later arrest Sheila Keen-Warren for the crime. 

Lacey Hirst-Pavek lived a perfect small-town life in the state of Washington.  Lacey is married with two children to a loving husband, Danny Pavek.  Unfortunately, for Lacey this all came crashing down when a rumor that Danny was having an affair, with a young woman by the name of Michelle Kitterman, began circulating the town.  Hirst-Pavek is furious with the news, and decides to take matters into her own hands, or should it be said, someone else's.  She unhesitatingly proceeded with a murder for hire by brainwashing three people within this town to not only harm Michelle, but the baby that was created within the affair.

He committed a massacre against his own family members back in 1982 and this case is one of the most horrific acts of familicide in U.S. history. Amy Allwine, 43, was found shot to death on November 13, 2016, inside the family's Cottage Grove home.  Amy's body was found lifeless by her then 9 years old son and her husband Stephen Allwine.  The scene was staged to look like a suicide. But the Cottage Grove Police Department would discover something more sinister. This true crime would not only involve a murder but the intertwining of the dark web, greed, lies and infidelity.

Her estranged husband and two young children were shot to death one night while they were sleeping. There was no forced entry and only one suspect. On November 21,1987, in Holland, Michigan, there would be a double homicide that would shock a community and make headlines across the state. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department would have more questions than answers as to who would commit this brutal murder. A young couple, Rick and Gail Brink, would be found murdered at their residence by Rick Brink's parents. There would be no evidence left behind and no signs of a burglary or forced entry into the home. So, without any possible leads, this case would go cold for over two decades. But, in the year of 2011, the Brink's case would be reopened and gain the momentum it needed to be solved. The Ottawa cold case unit would get the big break; they needed from an unlikely witness to expose an unlikely suspect.

Dennis Rader took 10 innocent lives in the area of Wichita, Kansas, as the BTK Killer – for Bind, Torture, Kill. He was arrested in 2005 for crimes committed between 1974 and 1991, and is serving ten consecutive life sentences at a Kansas prison.   We also discuss the Keith Smith and the Panhandler murder case.

It was February 3, 2008, in Clearwater, Florida Super Bowl Sunday. Larry Fenton was preparing to watch the biggest game of the year. He told his wife, Rebecca that he would take a nap and order a pizza before the game started. Meanwhile, she leaves to go workout and returns home to find a house of horror. Rebecca Fenton would come home to find her husband on the floor in a pool of blood and their home ransacked from a possible home invasion. But who would want Larry Fenton dead? Without any possible leads and no suspects. This case would be labeled a cold case for almost six years. Until detectives get the big break, they needed to arrest their suspect.

Gary Ridgway (born February 18, 1949), known as the Green River Killer, murdered numerous women in Washington during the 1980s and 1990s, earning his nickname when the first five victims were found in the Green River. He strangled them, usually with his arm but sometimes using ligatures. After strangling the women, he would dump their bodies throughout forested and overgrown areas in King County. He was initially convicted of 48 separate murders. As part of his plea bargain, another conviction was added, bringing the total number of convictions to 49, making him the second most prolific serial killer in United States history according to confirmed murders.

In the year of 2003 Clare Bernal set out to start a new life, as a beauty consultant at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, London. While at work she would meet a gentleman name Michael Pech. A former solider from Slovakia turned security guard for Harvey Nichols department store. Soon, the pair would begin dating. But after dating for only 3 weeks Clare Bernal would quickly end the relationship. The red flags to walk away from Michael would be something that could not be ignored. After Bernal's countless times of rejecting and ignoring Michael Pech's calls and texts his stalking would soon be taken to another level. 

Joshua Jenkins was adopted as a baby by a nice couple who couldn't have children of their own. Joshua had many challenges growing up and was in and out of trouble. Joshua was just starting high school when his parents made the decision to send him off to boarding school. Two Florida sisters were shot to death by one of the women's ex-boyfriends—who had a history of domestic violence—before he took his own life. Rebeca Davila, 20, and Sofia Davila, 19, were killed at their Lantana-area home after a  neighbor heard “horrified” screaming and gunshots and called 911. Listen to the 911 call Rebeca placed to authorities. 

Lonnie David Franklin Jr., An American serial killer. Also, known as the South Side Slayer, preyed on the women of Los Angeles, California from 1985 to 2007. Franklin was also given the name, Grim Sleeper by L.A. Weekly reporter, Christine Pelisek.  She created this name for him because of the 14 yr. break that occurred between the murders.  Franklin was a husband, father and friend too many in his community. All while keeping a deadly secret. Franklin was living a double life.  He was a family man by day and murderer by night. On July 5, 2010, Detectives would get the big break, they had been needing for almost 30 years. A DNA match would get Lonnie Franklin Jr. convicted for killing at least 10 women and 1 attempt murder sentencing him to death row.

Vincent Brothers was an educated man, a vice principal of an elementary school and a well respected member of his community until one day he did the unthinkable. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were an American criminal couple who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression, known for their bank robberies, although they preferred to rob small stores or rural funeral homes. Their exploits captured the attention of the American press and its readership during what is occasionally referred to as the "public enemy era" between 1931 and 1934. 

In the 1990's Pamela Smart would become both a national and international sensation.  The fame Smart would receive did not come from being a big celebrity in Hollywood.  She would become popular for coercing her teenage lover and three other students to commit murder. Pamela Smart wanted to avoid a divorce and losing everything.  On May 1, 1990, Pamela would come home from a school board meeting to find her home ransacked and her husband Gregory Smart murdered with a gunshot wound to the head. This story would spread like wildfire because Pamela Smart was more interested in her own popularity than the actual death of her husband.

The “Jonestown Massacre” occurred on November 18, 1978, when more than 900 members of an American cult called the Peoples Temple died in a mass suicide-murder under the direction of their leader Jim Jones. It took place at the so-called Jonestown settlement in the South American nation of Guyana. We also discuss the disappearance of Kierra Coles from Chicago, Ill.     

On February 24, 1986, the body of Sherri Rasmussen was found in the apartment she shared with her husband, John Ruetten, in Van Nuys, California. She had been badly beaten and shot three times in the chest from a home invasion. The Los Angeles Police Department initially considered the home invasion a botched burglary. But with the new advanced technology of DNA would change that theory to murder.  After 23 years this cold case would be solved on June 5, 2009 and a murderer would get the justice, she deserves 27 years to life in prison.

Barbara Stager, a North Carolina native, had an eager appetite for both money and sex. These addictions she possessed led her into a world of debt and murder. Barbara led a life of lies and deceitfulness to everyone around her, including those closest to her. Stager was twice married, one husband's death is labeled accidental; while the second husband's death has been classified as "cold-blooded" murder.
