Could the U.S. actually be prosecuted under the ICC, or is the investigation just a ploy for the organization to appear relevant and impartial? Becker is joined by Christopher Black, an international criminal lawyer based in Toronto who is on the list of counsel at the ICC. The U.S. election is now just five days away, but although millions of Americans will cast ballots, the popular vote won’t be the determining factor in who becomes President. Instead, the electoral college will have the final say. What is this system, how does it work, and could it override the will of the people? Richard Winger of Ballot Access News speaks to Becker about why the electoral college exists and what affect it could have on November 8.

In this episode Andrew and Jeronimo discuss three short stories and three movies. James was ill disposed, out on a death defying adventure. Andrew sits back and lets Jeronimo delve deep into his overly critical rant on Inglorious Basterds, a fine movie you should all check out if you haven’t already.   Luckily Jeronimo isn’t around to counter that statement. I don’t have time to send these show notes his way for any sort of team consensus. - Andrew Short Stories: 1.     Topless Vampire Bitches of the SS (in Pulp Ink 2) – Christopher Black 2.     The Brown Bomber and the Nazi Werewolves of the SS (in Curse of the Full Moon) – Matt Vene 3.     BPRD 1946 – Mike Mignola and        Movies: 1.     Dead Snow 2.     Iron Sky 3.     Inglorious Basterds   Follow Andrew Crevier on Instagram for up to the minute (day?) pics from the land of the rising sun. He’s staying with old people. They don’t have interwebs. Uploads will be made from a basement at Kamiooka station, Starbucks in Totsuka, Odaiba, and various locals in Tokyo. A Susperia themed bar and another horror themed bar are to be hit up as well as a retro arcade in Odaiba, Hanayashikii urban theme park, Takoyaki museum, and etc.

"No-one expects the Spanish Inquisition!" The brilliant Monty Python sketch was able to use an historical reference because the very mention of the Inquisition conjured up images of dark dungeons; cruel monks wielding instruments of torture and consigning thousands of alleged heretics to the flames. The Inquisition has had a bad press. But in fact there were several Inquisitions, some more cruel than others. And it is still active. Nowadays it goes under the name of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and in the 1990s it was run by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. So what does it do? How does its present structure relate to its medieval origins? Does it deserve its sinister reputation? Joining Ernie to discuss the Inquisition are Dr Gemma Simmons, Lecturer in Pastoral and Social Studies at Heythrop College London and a member of the Congregation of Jesus; Dr Christopher Black, Honorary Professor of Italian History at the School of Humanities, at the University of Glasgow; and Cullen Murphy, Editor at Large of Vanity Fair and author of God's Jury, The Inquisition and the Making of the Modern World.
