The Soccer Made in Portland podcast is a highly enjoyable and informative show that provides in-depth analysis of the Portland Timbers and Thorns. As a new fan, I have found the podcast to be a valuable resource for staying updated on all things related to these teams. Chris and Ryan, the hosts of the show, offer great insights and their chemistry is evident throughout each episode.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the lack of homer-ism. The hosts are not afraid to provide critical discussion about the clubs and are able to offer well-rounded perspectives. They also delve into topics such as salary discussions, which adds depth to their analysis. Additionally, I appreciate the inclusion of interviews and journalistic approaches to hard topics, as it enhances the overall quality of the show.
However, there are a few issues that could be improved upon. One recurring problem mentioned by several listeners is the inconsistency in audio levels between Chris and Ryan's microphones. This can make it difficult for some listeners to hear both hosts clearly without constantly adjusting their volume settings. Additionally, while the discussions on specific issues can be informative, they sometimes go on for too long without adding anything substantial to the conversation.
In conclusion, The Soccer Made in Portland podcast is an excellent source for fans of the Portland Timbers and Thorns who want insightful analysis and discussions about these teams. The hosts provide great chemistry and offer critical perspectives that make it a refreshing listen compared to other podcasts that may contain excessive bias or saltiness. With some minor improvements such as addressing audio level issues and keeping discussions concise, this podcast has the potential to be even better. Overall, I highly recommend giving it a listen if you're a fan of Portland soccer or just looking for an engaging soccer podcast experience.
