The Spooky Gals podcast is an absolute gem in the realm of spooky podcasts. Hosted by Katrina and Jasmine, these gals deliver fantastic paranormal stories straight to the listener's ears with their lovely accents. Their storytelling abilities are top-notch, and they have a great dynamic that keeps the episodes engaging and entertaining. One of the best aspects of this podcast is their choice of stories. They have a knack for selecting spooky and interesting topics that keep the listeners hooked from start to finish. Whether it's haunted locations or creepy events, they know how to deliver captivating narratives that leave you wanting more.
Another highlight of The Spooky Gals podcast is their wonderful chemistry and banter. The hosts have a genuine connection that translates well on air, making it feel like you're listening to friends sharing scary tales around a campfire. Their natural banter adds a light-hearted touch to the episodes without detracting from the spooky subject matter. Additionally, their humor shines through, bringing laughter and entertainment to every episode.
However, one area for improvement could be reducing the silence between talking back and forth during their conversations. Sometimes there can be a noticeable pause which disrupts the flow of the episode. Planning what they want to talk about beforehand might help alleviate these moments of silence and create smoother transitions throughout the show.
In conclusion, The Spooky Gals podcast is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys spooky stories delivered with charm and wit. Katrina and Jasmine have created an incredible podcast that combines excellent storytelling with their delightful personalities and accents. This show is perfect for binge-listening while staying in the house or simply wanting to immerse yourself in some chilling tales before bed. With each episode, you'll find yourself engrossed in their compelling narratives that seamlessly blend history with paranormal phenomena

The small ancient village of St. Osyth, in Essex, England, has long been associated with witchcraft and magic. Much like the rest of the country, it was swept up in the witch trials craze, where many innocent people were accused of, and executed for, the supposed crime of witchcraft. It was during this time that ‘The Cage' was built - a medieval prison used to hold suspected witches while they awaited trial. As you might imagine, due to its extensive, bloody history, The Cage has built up quite a reputation for being haunted, plagued by the spirits of those who suffered and died there. On the quiet summer evening of July 3rd, 1929, the entire Evangelist household was brutally murdered in their home on St. Aubin Street, in Detroit. The decapitated body of Benny Evangelist was found seated at his desk in the study, his hand clasped together as though in prayer, his severed head lying on the floor beside his chair. His wife, Santina, and their four children had been butchered while they slept. The horrific murders shocked the local community, however, not everyone was entirely surprised… You see, over the years Benny had built up quite a reputation for himself as a self-proclaimed ‘prophet', ‘mystic', ‘faith-healer', and, arguably, a cult leader – something which probably garnered him just as many enemies as adoring fans. While many 'haunted house' scare attractions create a fictionalized spooky backstory for themselves in order to make the experience more terrifying for guests, one such attraction - Frightmare Manor in Talbott, East Tennessee - has had no need to fabricate an eerie backstory, as its own very real history is far more gruesome and horrifying than anything that you might imagine. In Scandinavia, where forests cover vast areas of land, stories of otherworldly woodland entities and spirits have always been a part of popular folklore and traditions. One such entity, which can be found in local folklore throughout Scandinavia, is the Hulder - a seductive forest spirit. It was a bright, clear Autumn morning in October 1957 when three 15-year-old British Royal Navy cadets – William Laing, Michael Crowley and Ray Baker – set off across the rural Suffolk countryside on what should have been a routine map-reading exercise. Instead, they came across the picturesque village of Kersey, where they claim to have had a bizarre and unsettling experience, as they potentially entered a time-slip which sent back to the Medieval period.Join us every week for a new story, and maybe even submit your own by emailing us at spookygalspodcast@gmail.com. The rugged mountain range of Santa Lucia, located in coastal central California in the counties of Monterey and San Luis Obispo, is the supposed domain of a group of unsettling, mysterious entities known as ‘The Dark Watchers’. Having been witnessed by hikers along the mountain range for centuries, particularly around the hours of twilight and dawn, The Dark Watchers are massive, featureless dark figures, frequently over 10 ft. tall, who silently watch travellers from afar. The vast, bleak, desolate moorland of Dartmoor, located in Devon, southwest England, has given rise to a number of local folk-tales and legends. Arguably the most bizarre of these stories is the legend of a pair of ghostly, disembodied hands which are said to be responsible for the unusually high number of accidents and deaths on a particular stretch of road between Princetown and Two Bridges. I’m sure most of you will have heard of The Flying Dutchman, whether that be from Richard Wagner’s opera, Pirates of the Caribbean, or even SpongeBob SquarePants. The legendary ghost ship and mainstay of maritime lore and superstition has been featured within numerous pieces of popular media over the years – including art, literature, film and TV – but, despite being so famous, it has a much darker and more elaborate history than many people probably realise. Hidden away in the woods close to the Ohio River in Uticia, Indiana, the charred stone structure of a house, known locally as ‘The Witches’ Castle’, looms eerily on an isolated hill. With claims that Utica itself has been cursed since the townspeople murdered three sisters accused of witchcraft in the late 1700s, The Witches' Castle has played a major role in much of the tragic, violent history of the town. As such, it’s no surprise that there are many reports of paranormal occurrences at The Witches' Castle, with a number of spirits still trapped within it's walls.
