Peter's answer reminds us that Christianity is more than knowing about Jesus; it is personally knowing and confessing Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the living God.

A Canaanite woman refuses to walk away from Jesus, trusting that even the crumbs from His table are enough. Her story reminds us that great faith doesn't always look spectacular—sometimes it simply looks like showing up, trusting again, and refusing to leave the table.

If one were to open a Kentucky newspaper in the early nineteenth century, there's a good chance you would come across an advertisement for a runaway enslaved person. Between the 1780s and the end of the Civil War, thousands of these advertisements appeared in Kentucky newspapers, placed there by individuals and organizations seeking to reclaim their property. At first glance, these advertisements reduced enslaved peoples to little more than human property. Under the surface, however, they offer important clues about enslaved peoples and the ways they resisted slavery. Join us for a discussion with a historian who has combed through hundreds of these advertisements. Tim Talbott is the chief administrative officer for the Central Virginia Battlefields Trust in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He formerly served as the director of education, interpretation, visitor services, and collections at Pamplin Historical Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier in Petersburg, Virginia. Mr. Talbott received his MA in Public History from Appalachian State University, is the author of multiple articles, and contributes to Emerging Civil War. Hosted by Dr. Allen A. Turns out, when you say you've been damaged to the tune of a $10 billion, they make you show your work!   Every House Democrat signed a discharge petition to force a floor vote on Rep. Jamie Raskin's No Corrupt Agreements Requiring Taxpayer Expenditures Benefitting Lawbreakers and Assorted Non-Prosecution Covenants, Handouts, and Emoluments Act, AKA the NO CARTE BLANCHE Act.   MAIN SHOW:   After his first two attempts to steal Congress's tariff power were blocked in the courts, Trump has now reached back 90 years for the next tool. Sure the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act massively deepened and extended the Great Depression. But Trump is really mad at Canada, so maybe this time it won't massively backfire?   Meanwhile, the US Trade Representative announced a new wave of tariffs on 86 countries — putatively to retaliate against countries that sell or import goods created using child labor. They figure if the company is getting a refund from the government, they ought to get a refund from the company.   The FBI subpoenaed five New York Times journalists over reporting on the president's Qatari bribe jet. Claiming a national security emergency, the DOJ seized their phone records and demanded that they testify before a grand jury. This required prosecutors to disregard binding Second Circuit precedent and the DOJ's own published regulations — but Acting AG Todd Blanche said it was cool. At a hearing on Thursday over the motion to quash, Judge Arun Subramanian told the government to withdraw the subpoenas or he'd quash them. DOCKET ALERTS: A federal judge in Colorado enjoined the National Science Foundation from shutting down the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder. APA, FTW!   The DC Circuit ruled that Pete Hegseth's policy kicking out all trans service members and barring enlistment by anyone who ever had a diagnosis of gender dysphoria is rooted in animus and cannot stand. But the remedy was narrowly cabined to the plaintiffs in this case, and only those who are currency active duty.   The Supreme Court let Alabama redraw its Congressional maps while primary voting was already underway and use a racially-discriminatory map in order to squeeze one more Republican seat in Congress out for the 2026 midterms.   Doofus of the Day: BATMAN! Eric Batman, some whiny dork in LA who says his Christian faith means that he has to work from home during June lest he be oppressed by a trans flag flying outside his office. The grifters at Liberty Counsel eagerly fundraising off their preposterous trollsuit on Doofus's behalf.   MAIN SHOW:   The DOJ filed a superseding indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center. It's meant to remedy the obvious deficiencies in the first indictment, but it actually seems to bolster the SPLC's claim that they were trying to protect informants, not take down donors.   Meanwhile, DOJ seems to have leaked a draft version of the new indictment to reporters before presenting it to the grand jurors, potentially violating grand jury secrecy. SPLC moved for a show cause order forcing DOJ to explain "its conduct and why it should not be sanctioned considering the prejudicial consequences at stake here."   Back in Chicago, US Attorney Andrew Boutros explained that he wasn't inappropriately trying to voir dire the grand jury. Hodges, and Christian Legal Society v. He founded NCLR's Born Perfect project, a national campaign to end conversion therapy through legislation, litigation, and public education. He has helped draft laws protecting LGBTQ youth from conversion therapy across the country and continues to advocate for legal remedies to hold practitioners accountable for the harm they cause, including through malpractice, consumer fraud claims, and professional licensing sanctions. Shannon was lead counsel for same-sex couples in the landmark California marriage equality case, which was the first state supreme court decision to hold that same-sex couples have a fundamental right to marry and that laws discriminating based on sexual orientation are subject to the highest level of constitutional scrutiny. He was also counsel for married same-sex couples from Tennessee in Obergefell v. Hodges, the landmark 2015 U.S. Supreme Court decision establishing marriage equality nationwide, and NCLR's lead attorney in Pavan v. Smith, a 2017 Supreme Court decision requiring equal treatment of same-sex parents, and in Christian Legal Society v. Martinez, a U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding nondiscrimination policies based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Palm Sunday isn't just a celebration—it's a choice between two very different parades. As Jesus enters Jerusalem, the crowd cheers with expectation, hoping for power and control, but Jesus reveals a kingdom marked by humility, surrender, and the cross. This message invites us to consider not just if we'll praise Jesus—but which kind of King we're actually willing to follow.

This sermon explores how the story is not only about physical sight, but about spiritual vision—about who truly sees the work of God and who misses it. As the healed man's understanding of Jesus grows from "a man called Jesus" to "Lord, I believe," we are invited to ask where we might still be blind to grace, truth, and God's activity right in front of us.

In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well and offers her something deeper than the water she came to draw—living water. This sermon explores how Jesus crosses cultural, religious, and personal barriers to reveal the heart of God to someone the world considered an outsider. After encountering Christ, the woman leaves her water jar behind and becomes a witness, reminding us that when we truly experience living water, we don't just stay at the well—we go and tell others.

In July of 2025, members of Law Abiding Biker™ Media along with members of the Sworn Few LEMC embarked on a 11-day, 4000-mile, Canadian cross-country motorcycle trip. This trip would take us out of Washington State and into the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta We stayed over in cities such as Williams Lake, Stewart, Watson Lake, Fort St. John, Hinton, Canmore, Revelstoke, and Kelowna.
