SHOW 10-22-25 CBS EYE ON THE WORLD WITH JOHN BATCHELOR HK 1925 THE SHOW BEGINS IN THE DOUBTS ABOUT XI. FIRST HOUR 9-915 Colonel McCausland Discusses Postponed Budapest Summit, Gaza Ceasefire Instability, and Pentagon Information Control Jeff McCausland with John Batchelor Colonel McCausland explained the Budapest summit postponement, noting Putin demands Ukrainian surrender before a ceasefire. He considered Tomahawks an escalation of firepower, but not a game-changer, with delivery now on hold. McCausland described the Gaza ceasefire as precarious, lacking discussion or plan for Hamas disarmament, which he views as the necessary "red line" for stability. He criticized the Pentagon's new policy blocking journalists from soliciting unauthorized information as an attempt by Secretary Hegseth to control information flow and increase opacity. 915-930 Colonel McCausland Discusses Postponed Budapest Summit, Gaza Ceasefire Instability, and Pentagon Information Control Jeff McCausland with John Batchelor Colonel McCausland explained the Budapest summit postponement, noting Putin demands Ukrainian surrender before a ceasefire. He noted the political turmoil in Beijing, highlighted by uncertainty over Xi Jinping's APEC attendance. This instability is abnormal and reinforces China's unstable political foundation. Yates suggested this instability should push allies to rely more on the first island chain as a reliable balance. 945-1000 Rick Fisher Reports on China's Reusable Rocket Deluge and US Moon Race Political Pressures Rick Fisher with John Batchelor Rick Fisher reported that China has 27 reusable space launch vehicle projects underway, predicting a "deluge" of cheap space services to compete with SpaceX. He noted that President Trump is alarmed that China may win the second race to the moon. Trump pressured NASA Administrator Duffy to open the Human Landing System competition to Blue Origin, signaling that politics and winning the race are paramount, regardless of competitor viability. China's first reusable booster test could occur before year-end. Beijing aims to boost the economy via consumption, but the Chinese system is structurally built to communicate only with producers, not average consumers. Furthermore, the deflationary environment encourages people to delay purchases, waiting for lower prices. She views the Five-Year Plans mainly as an "amazing relic" used internally to motivate the sprawling government bureaucracies. 1045-1100 General Zhang Youxia Allegedly Leads PLA Purges Amid Internal CCP Power Struggle General Blaine Holt with John Batchelor General Blaine Holt reported that the purge of nine flag officers was allegedly executed by General Zhang Youxia, not Xi Jinping. Zhang, a top general, began the purges out of fear of becoming a target himself, indicating an internal "civil war" within the CCP factions opposing Xi. Zhang has secured elite military units loyal to him and the People's Liberation Army (PLA), rather than solely the Party, stabilizing the military amidst the turmoil. Zhang's life is at risk if Xi prevails.THIRD HOUR 1100-1115 Peter Berkowitz Analyzes Precarious Gaza Ceasefire and Deep Internal Political Tensions in Israel Peter Berkowitz with John Batchelor Peter Berkowitz stated the Gaza ceasefire is precarious and phase one is incomplete until all deceased hostages' remains are returned, aligning with Israeli public and governmental sentiment. Hamas may be stalling negotiations to rearm. Berkowitz noted sharp internal tensions in Israel, driven by opposition to Netanyahu, resentment over judicial reform, and economic exhaustion from military service. He finds it unlikely that the peace plan, which requires Hamas disarmament, will be fully realized. 1115-1130 Peter Berkowitz Analyzes Precarious Gaza Ceasefire and Deep Internal Political Tensions in Israel Peter Berkowitz with John Batchelor Peter Berkowitz stated the Gaza ceasefire is precarious and phase one is incomplete until all deceased hostages' remains are returned, aligning with Israeli public and governmental sentiment. They prioritize a healthy economy and law and order. Isolationism is not prominent, though they oppose excessive foreign spending. MAGA Republicanism is defined primarily by cultural issues, like anti-progressivism and concern over immigration, often outweighing economic policies like tariffs. Streeter concludes that rank and file voters are not as radical as national politics suggest. 1145-1200 GOP Voters Found More Moderate on Fiscal Issues and Driven by Cultural Anti-Progressivism, According to New Analysis Ryan Streeter with John Batchelor Ryan Streeter discussed findings showing Republican voters are more moderate than portrayed, especially on entitlement cuts. FOURTH HOUR 12-1215 Simon Constable Reports on Rising Commodity Prices Driven by Data Center Demand and European Political Turmoil Simon Constable with John Batchelor Simon Constable reported significant commodity price increases (copper up 14%, gold up 48%), driven by demand for data centers and AI. He criticized European reluctance to build needed data centers, stressing their necessity for the digital future. Constable noted President Macron fears Marine Le Pen's National Rally due to growing support stemming from concerns over unfettered immigration. He also criticized the UK Labour party's plan to tax professionals like dentists and doctors, predicting they will leave the country. 1215-1230 Simon Constable Reports on Rising Commodity Prices Driven by Data Center Demand and European Political Turmoil Simon Constable with John Batchelor Simon Constable reported significant commodity price increases (copper up 14%, gold up 48%), driven by demand for data centers and AI. He called the Artemis plan an "unwieldy management disaster" designed haphazardly to give the SLS rocket a mission. The political push to beat China by 2028 creates a dangerous "one-time stunt." Zimmerman argues the private sector (SpaceX) is the real future of US space endeavors. 1245-100 AM Bob Zimmerman Criticizes NASA's Artemis Lunar Program as a "Management Disaster" Focused on Beating China Bob Zimmerman with John Batchelor Bob Zimmerman criticized NASA interim administrator Sean Duffy for focusing on SpaceX being "behind schedule," distracting from NASA's own delay of the Artemis mission to 2028 at the earliest. CBS EYE ON THE WORLD WITH JOHN BATCHELOR THE SHOW BEGINS IN THE DOUBTS ABOUT THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION'S PLANS FOR THE DOD 10-1-25 FIRST HOUR 9-915 Colonel Jeff McCausland observes that Europe is preparing to deal with Russia's hybrid warfare (drones, cyber, incursions) independently, driven by the belief that the Trump administration is prioritizing homeland defense. European leaders are discussing a "drone wall" and achieving 5% GDP defense spending. McCausland also analyzes the 20-point Gaza peace plan, which involves an immediate hostage release, phased Israeli withdrawal, and a multinational peacekeeping force, noting Russia would likely gain from regional stabilization. 915-930 Colonel Jeff McCausland observes that Europe is preparing to deal with Russia's hybrid warfare (drones, cyber, incursions) independently, driven by the belief that the Trump administration is prioritizing homeland defense. Proof of "willfulness" is required, which signifies a heightened mental state and understanding of illegality. They also analyze the Supreme Court's delay in ruling on President Trump's effort to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook, deferring oral arguments until January.Preview: Andrew McCarthy and Thaddeus McCotter discuss James Comey potentially being a target of the Trumpadministration, focusing on charges of lying to Congress under the broader false statements statute (1001), rather than traditional perjury. SECOND HOUR 10-1015 Colonel Grant Newsham assesses South Korea's leftist President Yoon Suk Yeol, describing him as pro-China and anti-US, despite his vow to increase defense spending. Newsham views this spending partly as a tactical ploy to avoid reliance on US troops. Separately, he highlights Chinese influence and rampant corruption in the US territory of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), which is brazenly seeking $100 million from the USdespite $1.6 billion having vanished. 1015-1030 Colonel Grant Newsham assesses South Korea's leftist President Yoon Suk Yeol, describing him as pro-China and anti-US, despite his vow to increase defense spending. Separately, he highlights Chinese influence and rampant corruption in the US territory of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), which is brazenly seeking $100 million from the USdespite $1.6 billion having vanished. 1030-1045 Brandon Weichert analyzes the growing threat of space warfare, referencing Russia's satellites shadowing German intelligence satellites and the Sino-Russian "no limits partnership." He explains that co-orbital satellites can render ground forces "deaf, dumb and blind." Weichert suggests developing small, cheap "bodyguard satellites" alongside France to protect sensitive US military constellations, acknowledging that space technology is inherently dual-use. 1045-1100 David Maxwell discusses South Korea's military spending increase, the largest in over 15 years, which supports the goal of developing independent warfighting capabilities and transitioning operational control (OPCON). He clarifies that the complexity of OPCON transfer is often misunderstood as a sovereignty issue. Maxwell notes that North Korea is thriving due to growing support from China and Russia, making Kim Jong-un less motivated to normalize relations with the United States. THIRD HOUR 1100-1115 Preview: Professor John Yoo examines US missile attacks on alleged Venezuelan drug boats, differentiating military force (war) from law enforcement (crime). He suggests that if the Maduro regime is using drug cartels like Tren de Aragua as instruments of attack against the US, it constitutes a state of war, justifying military action. Yoo argues that the president can use force defensively without seeking a declaration of war if the US is attacked first, even unconventionally. 1115-1130 Professor John Yoo examines US missile attacks on alleged Venezuelan drug boats, differentiating military force (war) from law enforcement (crime). He reports significant setbacks for competitors, including an explosion during a Firefly Alpha static fire test and NASA canceling the cargo contract for Sierra Space's Dream Chaser due to over a year of unexplained silence and delays. 1145-1200 Bob Zimmerman details SpaceX's target of October 13th for the next Starship Super Heavy orbital test flight, which will focus on testing various engine firing configurations during the Super Heavy booster's return. FOURTH HOUR 12-1215 Patrycja Bazylczyk defines the Golden Dome as a reorientation of US missile defense policy to counter next-generation threats from near-peer adversaries, Russia and China. The defense, which involves a space component (HBTSS), supports the nuclear triad by strengthening deterrence through both denial and punishment. She notes that critics argue the program is unaffordable (estimated $175 billion) and destabilizing, but stresses the need for sustained, bipartisan funding to build the necessary architecture. 1215-1230 Patrycja Bazylczyk defines the Golden Dome as a reorientation of US missile defense policy to counter next-generation threats from near-peer adversaries, Russia and China. He emphasizes the critical need for procurement reform and securing domestic supply chains for materials like steel and aluminum. Holt also addresses the military's shift back to a "warrior ethos" away from "woke" culture, suggesting this change is already leading to honorable resignations and retirements among senior officers. 1245-100 AM Preview: Rick Fisher describes Victor Gao as a "Han envoy" used in China's "cognitive warfare" to spread propaganda, including the claim that China has the world's most powerful military. Gao falsely claimed China possesses a "super weapon," the DF-61, armed with 61 nuclear warheads, capable of reaching any global point in 20 minutes. Fisher also analyzes the propaganda surrounding the new Fujian aircraft carrier, noting that claims of its superiority over the USS Ford are easily refutable.

Grant Newsham Japan chooses a new PM. When China Attacks is a fire bell in the night—a warning about a war that we are already losing. It offers a frightening, and well-founded, blow-by-blow account of what might happen next. China poses an existential threat to America, warns a veteran intelligence officer, and the window for an effective response is closing fast. Col. Grant Newsham, a former reserve head of intelligence for Marine Forces Pacific, delivers a blow-by-blow account of how the threat has developed, from the growing skill and belligerence of the Chinese military to gray-zone campaigns to hollow out America's will to resist. These efforts that have now reached fruition. You can see the war damage in Baltimore, Erie, Buffalo, and countless other communities across the United States. With decades of experience in Asia, including as a U.S. Marine, a diplomat, and an executive with Morgan Stanley and Motorola in Japan, Col. Newsham brings together the military, political, economic and social to provide insights into how far along we already are, and what needs to be done. Now. The question is not whether the Chinese will attack. They already have. It is trying to kill our economy, our institutions, our way of life, our people. It is dominant in the world economy. It is a master of intellectual property theft. It shows strategic genius at cornering essential markets. It has been staggeringly successful in buying influence among American elites. It is killing us with Fentanyl. And its military buildup is astonishing. So far, China has been waging a mostly covert war on the United States and its allies. But, emboldened by American weakness and perceived decline, the war could soon explode into the open. The flashpoint will be Taiwan—but the war will extend over the entire Pacific Theater and beyond. The results—as Col. Newsham paints in stark detail—will be devastating. America risks a humiliating retreat, with almost unimaginable costs to our economy and security. Will America fight back before the cold war that Communist China is waging against America and its allies goes hot? The conflict is coming. We're not ready. China is already attacking America. Is American defeat inevitable? No, but we must change course immediately. And to do that, we must wake up and heed the sobering message of When China Attacks. 1946 ROYAL AIR FORCE

“What you're seeing in the Philippines is one more step in China's effort to tighten its control over all parts of the South China Sea,” says retired U.S. Marine Col. Grant Newsham, an expert on the Asia-Pacific region and a senior fellow at the Center for Security Policy. In recent clashes near the submerged reef known as the Second Thomas Shoal, there have been cases of Chinese vessels ramming Philippine ships, deploying water cannons, and injuring several sailors. In this episode, Newsham breaks down the Chinese communist regime's decades-long strategy to gain control of the South China Sea, from methodical island building to deploying a combination of Coast Guard, maritime militia, and fishing fleets to harass and intimidate other nations.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Nic Newsham from Gatsbys American Dream joins us fresh off their sold out reunion show to chat about how that came to be, discuss why Volcano hasn't been pressed yet, dive into the possibility for more shows/new music, and Nic's new love for the Seattle Kraken ++ way more! Power chords and crashing boards. Mikey, Tom, and Justin talk music, hockey, and anything else that gets in their way. Tom and Mikey are lifelong friends that grew up on Long Island during the glory days of alternative music where our local bands were As Tall As Lions, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, The Sleeping, Envy on the Coast, you get the point. We spent many nights together at The Downtown, catching any pop-punk, indie, hardcore, or emo band that came through. This was not a phase, Mom! Fast forward 20 years and we are still just as passionate about the scene as we were during our girl jeans and youth XL band tees days. Tom and Mikey are diehard New York Islanders fans, but Justin (Bolts fan) likes to remind us that we are #notanislespodcast. As we got older we realized we can like more than one thing and running beside our love for music has always been our love for hockey. We have realized we are not alone in this thinking, actually there are many of us that love these two things! This podcast explores just how connected they are! NEW EPISODE EVERY TUESDAY! Look who decided to show up. Swancasting! We are releasing this episode just in time for Gatsby's American Dream reunion show. Every DGD fan knows and loves Nic Newsham. Uneasy Hearts Weight the Most is still DGDs #2 song on Spotify as well as still is a touring staple. We start off talking some halo but quickly dive into how he TURNED DOWN the opportunity to be DGD's lead singer. We hit some major topics such as how Gatsby's album Volcano was a major influence to Brandon Urie and Panic at the Disco's forst album, and his bangers with one of our favorites Strawberry Girls. On the second half of the pod we focus on his career with Gatsby and The money Pit. If you haven't listened to The Money Pit you better and your welcome. A special thanks to Nic for his time and being patient with the slow release (Almost two years later) of this pod. He couldn't be a cooler dude. If you are anywhere near LA (or not I am flying there from NJ) you do not want to miss their reunion tour 4/28/23. Tickets can be found here https://teragramballroom.com/tm-event/gatsbys-american-dream/ Also buy Merch for their charity https://equalvision.merchnow.com/catalogs/gatsbys-american-dream
Originally built as a children's orphanage, before becoming a hospital, and then later a lunatic asylum. This building has bore witness to all manner of horrors, including the death of a small unloved child who was locked in a cupboard as a punishment, and forgotten about, only to be found dead later. Today knocking, banging, screaming, and sobbing is heard from within cupboards in that area, which is nicknamed the Naughty Boys Corridor. It's stood empty and abandoned for over 25 years, and has a growing reputation which has seen it regularly named in top 10 lists in recent years of the most haunted places to be found in the UK. Full apparitions, and shadowy figures are seen all too often here and send people screaming in terror. Old wheelchairs and gurneys, remnants of the building's past, move all on their own. People have reported the feeling of being pushed down and feeling sick and left physically shaking in some areas of this location. Whereas others have simply broken down in floods of tears, feeling utter despair and sadness for no apparent reason. Tonight, let us head to one of the scariest places in Liverpool and ask just how haunted is Newsham Park Hospital?
