When the brutally murdered body of Lily Larson was discovered, eerie evidence led some to believe her killer wasn't just a man—but something far more sinister. The gruesome details, whispers of blood drained from her body, and the unsettling presence of a bloodstained ladle sparked the legend of the "Atlas Vampire," a case that has haunted the city for nearly a century. Our other podcast: "FEARFUL" - https://open.spotify.com/show/56ajNkLiPoIat1V2KI9n5c?si=OyM38rdsSSyyzKAFUJpSywMERCH:https://www.redbubble.com/people/wickedandgrim/shop?asc=uPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/wickedandgrim?fan_landing=trueYoutube for video podcast:https://www.youtube.com/@WickedandGrimYoutube for lifestyle and vlogs: https://www.youtube.com/@WickedLifeFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/wickedandgrim/ Instagram:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wickedandgrim/?hl=enTwitter: https://twitter.com/wickedandgrimWebsite: https://www.wickedandgrim.com/. On May 4, 1932, the Atlas Vampire case shocked the nation. Stockholm police discovered the body of 32-year-old prostitute Lilly Lindestrom. Unlike most prostitutes at the time, Lilly was a call girl, meeting clients in her apartment in the Atlas neighborhood, now part of Vasastan. Police found her dead from a blow to the head. Disturbingly, there was saliva on her neck and body, and a bloodstained gravy ladle was found at the scene, which they thought was used by the killer to drink her blood. In one of the most ghoulish cases we've covered, in 1932 in Sweden a sex worker by the name of Lilly Lindeström is found dead in her apartment, naked and face down on the bed. Police had to break into her apartment and she had been dead for days. There are several sick elements to this case, not least that Lily's body had been drained of blood without a drop being spilled, except for traces on a soup ladle next to her body...We're doing a live show! The Atlas Vampire was an unknown assailant who committed the unsolved "Vampire Murder" in Stockholm, Sweden. But the thing about vampires is that even though vampires are known as fictional, there has been a long history of humans in modern-day vampire cults who drink blood. Apparently it's a clinical disorder though - it's called Renfield's syndrome, the obsession with drinking blood. On May 4, 1932 31-year-old Lilly Lindeström was found in her flat in the Atlas area of Stockholm, and unfortunately her murder remains unsolved… the police initially thought it was a clear case of a prostitute murdered by a client, but they noticed a lot of saliva on Lilly's neck and that she seemed to be exsanguinated even though there was very little blood at the scene and no noticeable puncture wounds to the body… Stay safe out there. Her friend Minnie had contacted the police after Lilly had not answered her door for almost a week since she had last seen her. Police found Lilly dead and her body completely drained of blood. The police were unable to find any traces of the vital fluid around the immediate area of the body but did find a small amount on a ladle in the apartment. It was on 15th December 1900 that the last entries were noted by the Keepers at Flannan Isle Lighthouse. Now over 100 years later, what happened on that day remains a mystery. A mystery that has captured the imagination of the public ever since. There have been many books written about the Flannans and in 2018, the film The Vanishing was released to a worldwide audience. Despite the intrigue and dramatised speculation of what may have happened, we have to remember three keepers lost their lives and the families of these three men, to this day, do not know their fate. The loss of the three Keepers from the Flannan Isles Lighthouse in 1900 is a significant and very sad part of our history. We pay tribute to these keepers, who served the Northern Lighthouse Board so well over the years, and can only report what was recorded at that time. The keepers were: James Ducat, Principal Thomas Marshall, 2nd Assistant Donald McArthur, Occasional Keeper – doing duty for William Ross, 1st Assistant, on sick leave. Their disappearance was only discovered as a result of the routine visit by Lighthouse Tender HESPERUS, on 26 December 1900. A vessel had passed the Flannan Islands at about midnight on 15 December and on arrival in port had reported that the light was not seen. However, this wasn't communicated to the Northern Lighthouse Board until the keepers disappearance had been discovered by HESPERUS Follow us on Instagram: S3 Podcast @s3podcast_ Follow Me : @s3s3production also subscribe to S3 Podcast on Apple Podcasts and Leave us a Review . --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thes3podcast/message

Stockholm, 1932. A young woman’s naked body was discovered in her apartment, lying face-down with fatal injuries to her head. Her clothes were neatly folded on a chair next to the bed and the rest of the scene was spotless. When a blood-stained gravy ladle emerged sometime later, investigators wondered if the killer used the ladle to drink his victim’s blood. Atlas Vampire Known as one of Sweden’s most well known murder mysteries, the Atlas Vampire has baffled people for many years. Atlas is a small neighborhood in Sweden. Back in the 1930’s it was dotted with vari-ous apartment complexes that had small rooms. In one of the apartments lived a 32-year old sex worker named Lilly Lindström. She was known as the “call girl” by her neighbors, not because of her profession but simply because she was the only one who had a phone line. 4. The Frankford Slasher From1985 to 1990, Frankford Philadelphia was haunted by a serial killer. Dubbed as the Frankford Slasher, the murderer would go on to kill and sexually assault eight women during his 5 year crime spree. Helen Patent was a 55-year old who lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and she was the first victim who’s body was discovered on Aug. 19th 1985. She had been dead for a week and was naked from the waist down with her shirt pulled up above her chest. 3. Ricky McCormick When police found Ricky McCormick’s body, it was so badly decomposed that his fingers had fallen off. Despite being missing for only three days, his body was in such a bad condition that it was tough for police to even find out who the man was. He was found wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, His lifeless body had been left at a notorious dumping ground in the rural cornfields of St. Charles County, just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. After conducting an autopsy, the coroner ruled his death “undetermined” with sus-picion of foul play. 2. The Dupont De Ligonnes Family In the Spring of 2011 after several days had passed, neighbors of the Dupont de Li-gonnes family began to notice that the house seemed unusually quiet. They were a family of 6 and Xavier was the head of the family. He was born in France 1961and had a privileged upbringing in a strict Catholic household. He was described as “courteous and discreet” by neighbors and those who knew him and while It’s unclear what type of employment Xavier was in. It’s thought he worked as an advertising salesman and also ran some companies with limited success. 1. Keith Warren It was already dusk - six hours after authorities found Keith Warren’s body hanging from a tree in the back of a townhouse - when his mother and family were informed of his death. The police had deemed it a suicide by hanging. No autopsy was done and his body was quickly brought to a funeral home for embalming. For Keith’s relatives, there was nothing but shock and grief. The 19-year old was a promising student and by all accounts had a bright future ahead of him. He had just been accepted to North Carolina Central University and was to start during the fall but instead, his body was found in July of 1986. So there were 5 UNSOLVED MURDER MYSTERIES Sometimes people are taken from this life all too soon which is hard to deal with. When we don’t know who took them or why, it’s become utterly unbearable for those closest to them.
Every night, a single mom in Britain puts her children to sleep. But when it comes time for her to fall asleep, a chilling song fills the air. Over the course of months, the mother tries to keep her sanity and find the source of haunting tune. Then we travel to Sweden and back in time to take a look at the case of the Atlas Vampire. When a young prostitute is murdered and her body is drained of blood, it is up to the Swedish police to catch the cold-blooded killer. And finally we take a look at “The Hand Of Glory.” This hand-made relic (pun intended) would bestow the holder with powers only a thief would love: You can unlock any door and freeze your victims in place. For 200 years in Europe, Hands Of Glory were a much sought after item for the criminal class. So home owners had to come up with their own spells to fight back . . . It's 1932 in Stockholm, Sweden, and the police is contacted by a woman who hasn't been able to get a hold of her friend and neighbor for days. Once inside her apartment, the police uncover a most unsettling scene - with a very vital missing piece. Find us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook: @skrimpod
When Lilly Lindestrom was found dead in Stockholm’s Atlas area, the police were baffled. Because she wasn’t just found dead, she was found drained of blood and positioned near a ladle. The search for the Atlas Vampire was on. Carter and Wenndy dig into the odd case, as well as the public’s fascination with vampires.
In 1932 Lilly Lindeström was found murdered in her home in the Atlas area of Stockholm, Sweden. She was found naked, post sexual activity, suffering blunt forced trauma to the head as well as being drained of all the blood in her body. Who would commit a crime like this? A murderer that got thirsty half way through? Some sort of weird fetishist? Matt?
