Katie here! I’ve had a weird obsession with true crime since I was a girl. I remember watching forensic files by 10 (not your average Disney fan girl like ever). The funniest thing that ever happened to me was when I tried to write a research paper on Ted Bundy, at 13, it freaked my teacher out, she called my dad worried. My dad told her I wasn’t interested in things other people perceived as intriguing. He was right, and still was more than 10 years later. Part of me feels like I can solve these cases myself, so join me as I try to. Therapy (sorta) and mediocre comedy included. Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/suspectpodcast/support

Natalia Grace Barnett (born September 4, 2003) is a Ukrainian-born American with dwarfism, who, in 2010, was adopted by an American family but abandoned by them two years later. Barnett's adoptive parents claimed that Barnett was a legal adult, and, in 2012, they successfully sought a court order legally changing her birth year from 2003 to 1989. However, an August 2023 DNA test by TruDiagnostic confirmed that Grace was about 20 years old, meaning she was around 9 years old when her adoptive parents abandoned her.
