On Sunday, October 17, 2021, Heidi Planck, a 39-year-old divorced mother of one left the townhome that she rented in the Palms area of West LA near Culver City and got into her silver Range Rover. She brought along her Labradoodle dog, Seven, and set out for her son, Bond's football game in Downey, California, about 17 miles away. But Heidi left the game early, and after texting with her son that evening, suddenly went radio silent. Her last known whereabouts were at a luxury high rise residential building called the Hope and Flower in downtown LA at 6:30 that night and then Heidi Planck simply...vanished. Her dog was found by residents of the Hope and Flower building on the 29th floor wandering aimlessly. Heidi Planck has never been heard from or seen again. Joseph McStay and his wife, Summer, along with their two little boys, Gianni and Joe Jr had just moved into a new house in November of 2010. On February 4, 2011, Joseph left to go have lunch with a business partner and friend named Chase Merritt in the early afternoon. By February 13, when Joseph's mother had not heard from him, she had his brother, Michael, go check on the family. What Michael found in their home was fruit rotting on the counter and a half eaten bowl of popcorn on the table. The family's two dogs were out in the yard. It was as if, on that day, February 4, 2011, the whole McStay family had simply...vanished.Show Notes:https://blood-money.simplecast.com/https://dateline-missing-in-america.simplecast.com/https://www.oxygen.com/killer-motive/season-2/episode-1/the-mcstay-family-mystery

McStays, Taken Too Soon: A True Story: Patrick McStaythe last day anyone heard the voices of Joseph, Summer, Gianni or Joey Jr. McStay was on 2/4/10. The family's two beloved dogs were left abandoned in the backyard, food left out to rot, and a growing and thriving home-based business had orders pouring in unanswered. Joseph's father, Patrick, and other family members insisted their loved ones would never disappear voluntarily. Many suspected Joseph's contract employee of foul play. Yet for four years, the San Diego Sheriff's Department led the public to believe they had left of their own accord and moved to Mexico, until the harrowing discovery of four bodies in the desert shattered that illusion. Journey inside the lives of Joseph and Summer, hear their own accounts of their life together as well as insight from close friends and family. Read about Patrick's fight to keep his family's case in the forefront, and about the love he shared with his son for so many years.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

I'd argue that Dan McStay's last 12 months have been the hardest out of any individual AFL Footballer in terms of setbacks. Dan did his MCL right before Collingwood's Grand Final win forcing him to miss the big dance along with an ACL rupture day 2 of this year's pre season. This is why this episode was truly remarkable when you listen to Dan's attitude and mindset, it's no wonder why he came back early and looked like he never left. We break down in this episode his trade from Brisbane which after 8 seasons was no small decision along with the experience, he has with playing with some of the best midfielders of the modern game. Dan speaks through the coaching styles of Chris Fagan and Craig McRae which was just incredible insight to two of the best in the game. Send us a Text Message. In February 2010, the McStay family—Joseph, Summer, and their two young children, Gianni and Joseph Jr.—vanished without a trace from their home in Fallbrook, California. Their disappearance quickly became one of the most perplexing and chilling mysteries of the decade. The McStays seemed to lead a normal life, running a small business and living in a modest home. But on February 4th, the family's sudden and unexplained disappearance set off alarm bells. The last known sighting of them was captured on a security camera of their car leaving their driveway. Months passed, and the case grew colder. Speculation ranged from theories of a financial dispute gone awry to potential connections with criminal networks. The McStay family's sudden and eerie silence left investigators grasping for answers. Then, in November 2013, the case took a harrowing twist. In February 2010, the 4 members of the McStay family - Joseph, Summer, Gianni, and Joseph Jr. - disappeared from their home in Fallbrook, CA. For the next several years, many believed they were voluntarily missing, but their family was sure they had met with foul play. When their bodies were found in November 2013, investigators revisited some suspects they initially talked to, but the man they ended up charging with the murders maintains his innocence to this day. FOOTBALL: Mayo manager Kevin McStay with Galway Bay FM's Kevin Dwyer ahead of the Connacht senior championship
Recollections - Paul McStay Paul McStay was born on 22nd October 1964 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Grand-nephew of former Celtic team captain and manager Jimmy McStay, playing for Celtic was in the family blood. A hotly tipped youth prospect Paul McStay was a member of Celtic Boys Club who burst onto the football scene in remarkable style when he hit two goals and was man of the match as Scotland schoolboys defeated their English counterparts at Wembley in front of a live TV audience in June 1980. He signed for Celtic aged seventeen and made his senior Celtic debut in a 4-0 home Scottish Cup win over Queen of the South on January 21st 1982. Part of a great Celtic dynasty – his Great Uncle's Jimmy and Willie were both Hoops greats while brothers Willie and Raymond also played for the club – Paul McStay seemed almost destined to write his name into Celtic folklore…. Hi I'm Scot Cooper and this is the Tales From the Trail podcast by MatchPlay. In this episode, Justin Chezem, head coach of Christopher Newport University men's soccer and I welcome Pat McStay of the ECNL's Heritage Project and the Richmond Strikers. Along with his duties at the Strikers, Pat has taken on the role of developing the Heritage Project which connects youth soccer players in the U.S. with the countries of their heritage to potentially play for those countries' national teams. Pat describes it as: With the overwhelming success of the 2023 Women's World Cup, featuring dozens of ECNL alumni, the ECNL has decided to launch The Heritage Project. The project's underlying motive is to provide additional pathways and opportunities for players currently playing in the ECNL (and alum) who may have ties to other countries based on parents and/or grandparents' place of birth or other factors (heritage players). The project's overall goal is to help connect high level players with Federations they may not have access to otherwise. It will be an extensive, time consuming journey, but both the ECNL and partnering Federations feel that this could be a very important part of their scouting future.SummaryPat McStay discusses the Heritage Project, a program in partnership with the ECNL that aims to connect youth soccer players in the United States with their heritage countries' national teams. The project seeks to provide an alternative pathway for players who may not be selected for the US youth national teams but have eligibility for other countries. Pat explains the process of identifying eligible players, reaching out to federations, and facilitating connections between clubs and national teams. He emphasizes the importance of spreading awareness about the project and encourages support from the soccer community.TakeawaysThe Heritage Project aims to connect youth soccer players in the US with their heritage countries' national teams. The project provides an alternative pathway for players who may not be selected for the US youth national teams. The process involves identifying eligible players, reaching out to federations, and facilitating connections between clubs and national teams.Spreading awareness about the project is crucial for its success and support from the soccer community is encouraged.Chapters00:00 Introduction and Personal Background03:10 The Heritage Project08:28 Connecting Clubs and Federations13:40 Eligibility and Evaluation Process18:29 Success Stories and Closing the Gap21:14 Reaching Out and Getting Involved25:26 Focus on Women's Soccer27:31 Expanding Beyond ECNL30:54 How to Support the Project32:43 Closing Remarks

John is stoked on The Rams!
Friendship and business go hand in hand and can be a dream come true when it works out as each day feels like your having fun rather then doing the 9-5 grind. But if greed comes in to play, the bond that connects these friends no matter how strong, can be severed seriously, permanently or worse, fatally.
McStay's Taken Too Soon contains facts and evidence along with family information not seen on the TV programs or in newspaper and magazine articles. A whole family vanished on February 4, 2010 from their home in Fallbrook, CA. The San Diego Sheriff's Department led the public to believe that Joseph, Summer and their two little children had left of their own accord and moved to Mexico. Then the harrowing discovery of four bodies in the California desert nearly four years later shattered that illusion. There was close to $100,000.00 in Joseph and Summer's bank accounts, a house just bought and tens of thousands spent on remodeling. A growing and thriving home-based waterfall design business had email orders pouring in that indicate millions of dollars in the pipeline. All calls and emails went unanswered. No one who knew them thought they would choose to leave without telling anyone. Everyone said Joseph would never leave his first born son from a previous marriage behind. Joseph would not just "VOLUNTARILY" walk away from all of this like the San Diego Sheriff's Office claimed. This is the only true accounting of the McStay story written to date. Joseph's father sets the record straight about Joseph and his family.

This week a terrible story hit the news about a family that was kidnapped and murdered in California. The kidnapper took the baby, the child's parents and the uncle at gunpoint on Monday and killed them, leaving their bodies in an almond orchard. The man suspected of kidnapping the family, Jesus Manuel Salgado, was taken into custody Tuesday. The horrific crime was eerily similar to another California family; The McStay family who was murdered in 2012. Today, hear a show that you might remember about the evil that exists in this world from the week the McStay family was found. How could this happen? Are God and religion dead? Callers on the evil they have witnessed and the darkness that surrounds us. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
