POPULARITY
We were thrilled to welcome an array of outstanding guests on the Champions of Change: The RISE Podcast during the Super Bowl, and to honor Black History Month, we are excited to present a two-part series. In this second part, we had the honor of engaging with former player Picasso Nelson Jr., Antoine Wesley of the Cardinals, and Dakoda Martin of the Saints. Each interview was impactful, bringing a unique perspective and inspiring insights. Our discussions ranged from strategies for building success to the importance of community and allyship, and why representation matters. Our aim was to celebrate African Americans and allies who are making a significant impact in our communities and shine a light on their inspiring stories.
After playing the first quarter of the season without a full deck, the Arizona Cardinals are getting healthier ahead of their home matchup against the unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles. Can the returning pieces, including A.J. Green, help catapult Kyler Murray and this stagnant AZCardinals offense back into their groove? Can Kliff Kingsbury balance enough mouths to feed that suddenly includes Antoine Wesley? How will Antonio Hamilton's return shakeup the Redbirds secondary? Ep. 599 - Wide Receiver. Cornerback. Two positions the Cardinals could use some help at, either because of injuries or just a lack of depth. On Wednesday, wide receiver Antoine Wesley and cornerback Antonio Hamilton returned to the practice field after each had missed the first four games on injured reserve. Whether one, or both, will be ready to play on Sunday is still to be determined, but that did not stop Craig Grialou and Dani Sureck from discussing their impact once in uniform. Other topics included the week's first injury report and some initial thoughts on the Philadelphia Eagles.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's been a rollercoaster week in Arizona sports. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown was arrested for speeding, fellow receiver Antoine Wesley was injured, Kyler Murray caught COVID, the Arizona Diamondbacks traded David Peralta to the Tampa Bay Rays and we are TIRED. On a brighter note, DJ Humphries signed an extension and Arizona State finally got in on the NIL action. Plus, JJ Watt, Mikal Bridges, Joe Burrow and Devin Booker give us some much needed laughs. Ep. 563 - Without DeAndre Hopkins, what is the offense going to look like? Good question. The good news is the Cardinals have two things going for them: 1) time and 2) options. Craig Grialou and Mike Jurecki focus on the latter. From Marquise Brown to A.J. Green to Antoine Wesley plus don't forget about the tight end and running back; all will be needed to help fill a rather large hole on offense. Also, the guys discuss whether the defense may need to add another piece, specifically a veteran presence on the defensive line.

Ep. 552 - It's one thing to be recognized in Arizona. It's quite another when you get stopped across the pond. The latter has never happened to Craig Grialou or Mike Jurecki, but it did happen to J.J. Watt, who seemingly has been everywhere in recent weeks. Also, the guys discuss the re-signing of Antoine Wesley and how he figures into the team's plan this season. Plus, Jurecki continues to countdown his top-50 draft prospects. He unveils Nos. 30-21, which includes some intriguing names the Cardinals might be interested in.

Ep. 541 - The Cardinals have asked several young players to step up and perform over the course of the 2021 season due to injury and Covid. One of those players is wide receiver Antoine Wesley. Tweezy joins Paul Calvisi and Ron Wolfley to discuss his monster game against the Cowboys in his home state of Texas, learning from veterans like A.J. Green and DeAndre Hopkins, his relationship with Kyler Murray and playing for his old college coach Kliff Kingsbury at the NFL level. Plus, we take a look ahead to the game with the Seahawks and what it will take to win the NFC West on Sunday.

As the Cardinals work to get the roster down to the regular-season limit, Paul Calvisi, Darren Urban and Felipe Corral Jr. have plenty to chat about, especially Malcolm Butler's surprising move to the Retired list, rookie cornerback Marco Wilson's impressive showing so far, the odd U-turn plane trip to New Orleans, Chris Streveler making the team as a third quarterback, Antoine Wesley's push to a roster spot, their choices for both the new and holdover players they are most excited to see (and that's all, Paul), what Kliff Kingsbury's concerns might be heading into the season, and, oh yeah, it's Fitz's birthday.

Paul Calvisi and Darren Urban return to part of a three-man pod as Felipe Corral Jr. joined to discuss all the relevant topics from Cards Camp – not the least of which being how much preseason matters, and to whom. The guys also chat about the improvements of Zaven Collins and Isaiah Simmons, where the offensive line stands (and who makes sense as backup tackle), J.J. Watt's return, the battle of Andy Isabella and KeeSean Johnson for roster spots (and if Antoine Wesley or Greg Dortch are in the conversation), those NFL 100 votes, and Fitz's lack of urge.

Paul is joined by Sigmund Bloom (@SigmundBloom) of Football Guys to discuss the 2019 NFL Draft. The discussion starts the quarterback position and what makes Kyler Murray such a unique prospect, how his game translates, the variety in which he can solve problems and why he most likely will be the first pick in the NFL Draft to the Arizona Cardinals. Following the discussion on Murray, they discuss Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock, Daniel Jones and Will Grier. Next the focus is shifted to the running backs. The two of them discuss that why the position in someways is devalued in the NFL, it has not been devalued in terms of draft capital for the running backs that are offensive weapons and can impact the game in a variety of ways. They discuss Josh Jacobs in terms of whether he can be that difference maker. After the discussion on Jacobs, they talk about Darrell Henderson, Miles Sanders, Damien Harris and David Montgomery as the next tier. They close out the running back discussion with some under the radar names including a discussion on Rodney Anderson and where he would fit if he did not have any injury issues and was being evaluated strictly on his film. Next, the discussion turns to the Tight Ends and why this class rivals the 2017 draft in terms of being one of the best tight end classes ever. They discuss TJ Hockenson, Irv Smith Jr., Noah Fant, and many of the tight ends from the next tiers of prospects. To close out the episode, the two discuss the Wide Receiver position. The discussion starts with a breaking down of DK Metcalf and his teammate AJ Brown and what they offer in terms of their skill set at the next level. Next, the discussion focuses on Hakeem Butler and why he is one of the most polarizing draft prospects ever. To close out the show, they discuss why Deebo Samuels is one of the most versatile and best problem solvers from the wide receiver group, Kelvin Harmon and some day three sleeper wide receivers such as Penny Hart, Antoine Wesley and others. Paul and Matt are joined by Ben Fennell (@BenFennell_NFL) of NFL Network and the Athletic to discuss the 2019 Wide Receiver class. The discussion starts with how this class really does offer a lot of variety in terms of the types of receivers that NFL teams may be looking for. Next the discussion turns to some of the bigger receivers in the class. Ben gives his thoughts on Hakeem Butler, N'Keal Harry, DK Metcalf and Kelvin Harmon while Paul and Matt also share some thoughts on these players. Next the discussion turns to some of the possession style receivers in AJ Brown and Riley Ridley. The discussion focuses on whether or not Brown can play outside as well as inside at the NFL level and are there concerns about Ridley because of his combine numbers and college stats. In the next segment they discuss Deebo Samuel and Marquis Brown and how they offer the versatility to play a variety of roles and offer the ability to get vertical from inside and used in space. In the last few segments of the show they discuss a lot of more receivers and how they have different skill sets that can be used in a speciality role or as a bigger part of the offense. Some of the name discussed include Parris Campbell, Terry McLaurin, Andy Isabella, Mecole Hardman, Hunter Renfrow, Penny Hart, Stanley Morgan Jr, Greg Dortch, Emanuel Hall, Miles Boykin, Antoine Wesley, JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Keesean Johnson. Sonic Truth Fantasy Football Podcast, Ep 87: The Podfather Matt Kelley (@Fantasy_Mansion) and Nate Liss (@AnOutragedJew) explain why Kelvin Harmon is a top prospect in this WR class. Le’Veon Bell is now 260 pounds. Ruh-roh. Zay Jones vs. Robert Foster: Who you got? Age-agnostic fantasy gamers must love Larry Fitzgerald but Christian Kirk is a better dynasty value. 10 favorite dynasty buys: Dalvin Cook, Jaylen Samuels, Devonta Freeman, Rod Smith, TJ Yeldon, Ito Smith, Chris Thompson, Curtis Samuel, Sterling Shepard, Will Fuller & Keke Coutee, Marvin Jones, Dede Westbrook & Keelan Cole, Trey Quinn, Sam Darnold, OJ Howard, Ian Thomas Colin Kaepernick is the ultimate looking glass figure. Riley Ridley fanatics practice cognitive dissonance. Bennie Snell has ideal size and age-adjusted production. James Williams is the greatest college satellite back of all time. Alex Barnes was not dominant enough at an early age. Austin Walter could be the next Phillip Lindsay. Kelvin Harmon is a future friend of the show. Hakeem Butler could be the next Darren Waller. Antoine Wesley's production blotted out the sun in his final year, but he’s super svelte. Emmanuel Butler is the small school wide receiver who checks all the boxes. What more does Ashton Dulin have to do to gain respect? Juston Christian deserved a combine invite. RotoUnderworld Radio Fantasy Football Podcast - Mind of Mansion, Ep 428: The Podfather Matt Kelley (@Fantasy_Mansion) and JJ Zachariason (@LateRoundQB) build a case to trade Antonio Brown in dynasty. Has Antonio Brown gone mad or is he a mad genius? Le'Veon Bell will never sign with the Eagles or Colts. If traded, San Francisco is the best place for Odell Beckham to land. What is stopping JuJu Smith-Schuster from achieving WR1 status in fantasy football? James Washington will become a thing, but not before Vance McDonal. Jaylen Samuels somehow remains an afterthought in dynasty leagues. David Johnson's situation will significantly improve next season. How John Elway continues to flail. Sean McVay is now only kind of overrated. Julian Edelman may be overrated. Reasons why Kyler Murray will smash at the next level. Saquon Barkley cratering in week 15 was a fantasy team killer. What the hell happened to Chris Hogan? Nick Foles will be a top week 1 streamer QB. Devonta Freeman and Ito Smith are both strong fantasy values. Tevin Coleman is a terrifying dynasty asset. David Montgomery is the best running back prospect in the NFL Draft. James Williams is the target magnet RB no one is talking about. K'Neal Harry is rising to the top of analytical WR prospect models. Hakeem Butler and Antoine Wesley sleeper wide receiver prospects who are somehow still flying under the radar. Ashton Dulin is the No. 1 small school prospect name to know. Joe Flacco will help the Broncos win zero more games. DeAndre Hopkins is the best WR in the league. Dalvin Cook is the perfect second round pick in fantasy football leagues. The earliest to consider drafting Patrick Mahomes is round 4 in fantasy football leagues. Kareem Hunt made a catastrophic blunder by signing with the Browns. Has Damien Williams jumped the shark? It's wheels up for D.J. Moore and Kenny Golladay this year. Equanimeous St. Brown is a high upside sleeper. Can Zay Jones still break out? John Brown and Tyrell Williams are intriguing field stretchers. Albert Wilson is the ultimate truther wide receiver. Royce Freeman will outscore Phillip Lindsay this season. The AAF may be entertaining, but it's not interesting. Running backs are massively overrated by NFL fans. The Buccaneers will be a great source of fantasy value. The Jaguars will experience the most significant change of fortunes this season. Devonta Freeman has become a silly value in all fantasy football league formats. Advanced metrics, prospect evaluations, and fantasy football information were provided by PlayerProfiler.com
With college bowl season underway, AJ Marchese and Rob Paul are talking tons of 2019 NFL Draft prospects. First, they start with the most recent draft declarations like Texas Tech's Antoine Wesley, Ohio State's Dre'Mont Jones, Memphis' Darrell Henderson, and more! Then they look at the most recent Senior Bowl acceptances including former Tennessee running back turned Baylor receiver, Jalen Hurd. Finally, they look at the upcoming bowl games and the prospects to watch.
We start by ranking our top 5 all time movie vehicles. We probably should have been a little more specific with the word "vehicle," but we address that better in our Q&A segment. We give some recruiting updates with Wells and staff on the road as the early signing period is approaching. Antoine Wesley has declared for the NFL draft. Basketball season is in full swing. Two games are left on the schedule before heading to NYC to tip off against Duke. Tech is still undefeated and has won every matchup by double figures. We answer your questions and let you know what we've learned this week.
Readyforthedraft.com's Gregg Schutze shares his passion for the NFL draft and takes you on a journey leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft. Episode 13 kicks off with Gregg taking a look at Duke's Daniel Jones. Is he a sure-fire 1st Round pick in 2019? Should he come back for his senior season? Another year under head coach David Cutcliffe saw the Manning brothers become a more complete prospect. It may behoove Jones to do the same. Gregg also looks at players flying under the radar. Trayveon Williams and Darrell Henderson are putting up huge stats, but aren't getting the notoriety they deserve, while Ryquell Armstead and Karan Higdon lead the charge for seniors in the backfield. Andy Isabella is a viable possession WR while Preston Williams, Antoine Wesley and Jonathan Duhart can be weapons on the outside. TE Donald Parham of Stetson could be the sleeper of this year's draft while Max Scharping and Andre Dillard are sneaky good OT's up front. Jaylon Ferguson is closing in on Terrell Suggs' sack record while Oshane Ximines is putting up big stats, but isn't a name many are familiar with yet. Gerald Willis has emerged along the interior defensively whle Cortez Broughton has finally put it all together. Daniel Wise and Chris Slayton will be nice interior players, while Kingsley Keke looks more and more like a five-technique in a 34 defense. In the New NFL, a LB has to be able to run. E.J. Ejiya, Ulysees Gilbert III, Chase Hansen, Germaine Pratt and Terrill Hanks fit that mold, while Khalil Hodge and Ben Burr-Kirven are tackling machines inside. Looking for a big CB? You're in luck as Rock Ya-Sin Derrick Baity, Jamal Peters and Justin Layne all have tremendous length and have all proven to have the ball skills needed to succeed at the next level. And at Safety, we know that Deionte Thompson, Johnathan Abram, Taylor Rapp and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson are the top safeties in this year's draft class, but Cedarius Rookard and Darnell Savage, Jr. can make plays too. And if you're looking for FCS prospects, be sure to watch for WR Keelan Doss, RB Ryan Fulse, DE Derick Roberson, DT's Isaiah Mack and Sterling Shippy, LB Sterling Sheffield and CB's Jimmy Moreland and Nasir Adderley.

We're in that glorious part of the year where we have multiple sports to talk about, not to mention Thanksgiving being right around the corner. For those of you that listen to music on Spotify, you can now find the podcast there so you don't have to leave your preferred platform to listen to us ramble. The men's basketball team is now 3-0 after defeating Mississippi Valley State and Southeastern Louisiana. They will take on USC in tournament play next week, plus one of Missouri State and Nebraska. Before we get into the KSU preview, we touch on whether Duffey is a product of his talents or Kingsbury's system. We also note that Antoine Wesley will likely finish this season with the second best record for receiving yards in a single season at Texas Tech, behind only Michael Crabtree's 2007 season. This is also when we have a drop in the audio from the batteries going out on the recorder, so you'll just have to imagine we had a great discussion off the air. Grant Thome from the EMAWdio Podcast joins us to preview the game this weekend against the Kansas State Wildcats. Thanks for joining the show, Grant. If you want to hear his interview with Seth, check out his podcast on Soundcloud and on GoPowerCat.com. Then we answer and react to all of your questions and comments this week. This section starts around minute 47, so if you're not down to clown with our questions and Thanksgiving food hot takes, this is where you can check out.
The Red Raiders are on a two game winning streak, the Cyclones are also on a two game winning streak. Iowa State defeated a West Virginia team that defeated Texas Tech. Tech defeated a TCU team that defeated ISU. Safe to say these two teams mirror each other right now and both teams need a win this week to stay near the top of the conference. So many matchups in this game. Brian Peavy vs. Adrian Frye, Hakeem Butler vs. Antoine Wesley, David Mongomery vs. all the Tech running backs and most importantly, Brock Purdy vs. Alan Bowman. Which team comes out on top and what do the Red Raiders need to do? Albie and Dylan figure out what needs to be done. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
What a historic day for Alan Bowman and Antoine Wesley. The ARP guys recap the shootout against Houston and bring on staff writer Jeramey Gillilan to talk about the win. The guys also recap the rest of the games in the Big 12. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Another record-setting performance for Texas Tech, this time with individual honors for true freshman QB Alan Bowman setting the Big 12 single game passing yard record, and Antoine Wesley setting the school's single game receiving yards record. Tech moves to 2-1 as they prepare to travel to Stillwater to open conference play.
