Ole Miss athletics director Keith Carter would like to expand the capacity of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.But Carter and the Rebels aren't stopping there. The university last week issued a request for proposal for a mixed-use development around the stadium similar in concept to The Battery Atlanta. The Battery surrounds Truist Park, the home of MLB's Atlanta Braves. The Ole Miss iteration would feature retail, restaurants, office space, a hotel and even condos. Sudu Upadhyay is expecting a motivated Ole Miss Saturday against Tulane. The 6-seed Rebels (11-1) take on the 11-seed Green Wave in the first round of the College Football Playoff at 2:30 p.m. CT on TNT/HBO Max. They'll be playing their first game without Lane Kiffin as head coach. Ole Miss defeated Tulane, 45-10, in the regular season.But a lot has changed. Jon Sumrall will leave for Florida after the postseason.
