Lane Kiffin is the hottest name in what is already one of the wildest coaching carousels in college football history. But Tony ‘Mr. College Football' Barnhart wouldn't be surprised to see Kiffin stick around at Ole Miss. Kiffin, the fastest Ole Miss coach to 50 wins in history, is a leading candidate for openings at both Florida and LSU. Sources indicate Florida is far and away the biggest threat of the two. Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz is the betting favorite for the Florida job, according to Bet Online. Tulane's Jon Sumrall is the betting favorite for LSU.However, Barnhart told Ole Miss Spirit contributor Brad Logan that Kiffin's decision may be tougher than most realize given the unique situation he's built in Oxford.No. 7 Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1 SEC) hosts South Carolina (3-5, 1-5) Saturday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. Kiffin isn't the only coach in the game dealing with silly-season rumors.Logan is also joined by Grayson Weir of BroBile to talk all things Ole Miss and SEC football. Our Sponsors:* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

In this edition of Talk of Champions, powered by RiverLand Roofing, Ben Garrett of the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 is joined by Rebel football legend Chris Spencer. Spencer is now the founder and CEO of TeamQ, a performance intelligence tool created to analyze the ‘intangible' qualities of athletes, such as their coachability, communication style and resilience. He also hosts the Intangible Podcast.Spencer is a M-Club Hall of Famer and former three-year starter for the Ole Miss offensive line. He mostly started at center and contributed to a pair of bowl wins — the 2022 Independence Bowl and the 2004 Cotton Bowl. The Rebels in 2003 finished 10-3 and set school records in 11 offensive categories. Spencer was first-team All-SEC. But he does want to correct the record on the lineman that stepped on Eli Manning's foot in the Rebels' only SEC loss to rival LSU. Now he's pouring into his alma mater through TeamQ and much, much more. He remains active as a forever Ole Miss Rebel and believes in what Lane Kiffin and Co. have built over six years. Our Sponsors:* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Ben Garrett (Ole Miss Spirit/On3) and Brandon Drumm (OU Insider/On3) get real on Lane Kiffin and coaching carousel rumors — a seemingly annual occurrence at Ole Miss. The Rebels are at Oklahoma on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT for a Top 15 matchup on ABC. Ole Miss is hoping to avoid another 2022-level letdown, especially amid more rumor mill distractions. However, at the same time, the Rebels, administratively, are ready to battle all comers when it comes to keeping Kiffin in Oxford. Ole Miss has proven a perfect fit for Kiffin and his family, while few, if any, programs have been more efficient and front-leading in the NIL space than the Rebels. As far as actual game matters, Ole Miss, against the Sooners, will be tested by the toughest defense it's faced so far. Ben and Brandon each give three reasons why Rebels and the Sooners come out with a win. The teams are in the second of six straight seasons playing one another. Our Sponsors:* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Gil's Arena GOES WILD After NBA Tip Off as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew return to the Arena and react to a show stopping night of NBA action featuring the potential game of the year as Kevin Durant fell to Shai Gilgeous Alexander & The Oklahoma City Thunder in his first game for the Houston Rockets and Steph Curry spoiled Luka Doncic's first season opener with the Los Angeles Lakers, proving the Lake Show may need LeBron James if they want to compete with the top of the NBA. They kick things off with the insane game between the Rockets & Thunder that ended in controversy and give their biggest takeaways from the show stopping action in the league's first game. They debate if SGA deserves more credit for his ability to bait even the greatest players in league history into committing fouls and discuss the Thunder's likelihood to repeat as NBA Champions before analyzing Kevin Durant's first game with the Rockets and breaking down if the team will run through him or Alpren Sengun as they operate without a traditional point guard. Next, they react to KD signing a new deal where the future NBA Hall of Famer took a $30M pay cut to remain with the Rockets for at least 2 more season and break down how his place atop the highest career earners in NBA History will shape the future of the league. They then give their first impressions of the LeBron-less Los Angeles Lakers as Luka Doncic fell to Steph Curry & The Golden State Warriors in his first season opener for the Lakers and debate if the team is already missing the King before battling over if people are already sleeping on Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and the Warriors dynasty. Finally, they react to the return of NBA on NBC featuring Michael Jordan and debate if the NBA's shift in media will be the final step to them taking over the sports world as America's #1 most watched sport. In this edition of Game Runs Deep, Sudu Upadhyay and Ben Garrett of the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 dive into the Lane Kiffin-to-Florida rumors. While neither thinks it's going to happen, Kiffin, who's in his sixth Ole Miss season, very well could leave for Florida. But the argument of ‘Florida is just the better program' is an outdated way of looking at modern college football. Nick Douglas stops by to preview his new book, Where Did Our Game Go: Inside College Football's Billion-Dollar Transformation. The guys also preview Week 9, including Ole Miss' second Top 15 road trip, this time to Oklahoma. Our Sponsors:* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

The Drive Home: After Georgia, is Ole Miss still a playoff team? The Ole Miss Spirit's Ben Garrett is joined LIVE by Brad Logan and Sudu Upadhyay following the No. 5-ranked Rebels' 43-35 loss at No. 9 Georgia on Saturday. Trinidad Chambliss and the Ole Miss offense pulled off a first against a Kirby Smart defense. However, Pete Golding's Rebel defense was an absolute disaster as Ole Miss fell to 6-1 (3-1 SEC) on the season with a trip to Oklahoma up next. Are the Rebels still a College Football Playoff contender? What about Lane Kiffin and an already-active coaching carousel? Billy Napier and Florida did defeat Mississippi State, after all. But what about LSU losing to Vanderbilt?
