Let's celebrate Candace Robinson's fantastic new dark fantasy book, The Bone Valley on The Witty Writers Show. I'm so excited about it. Candace Robinson is awesome at writing dark fantasy that you can't put down. Here's the info and links for The Bone Valley. The Bone Valley Blurb: He's a lover. She's a thief. A magic bond like no other will tie them together. After the death of his parents, Anton Bereza works hard to provide for his younger siblings. Love has never been in the cards for him, especially after desperation forces Anton to sell himself for coin. And he has no idea that, beneath the city of Kedaf, lies a place called the Bone Valley. When Anton's jealous client plots against him, he is cursed to spend eternity in a world where all that remains are broken bones. There, Anton meets Nahli Yan—a woman who once tried to steal from him—and his cards begin to change. But as the spark between them ignites, so does their desire to escape. All that stands in their way is the deceitful Queen of the Afterlife, who is determined to wield her deadly magic to break Anton and Nahli apart. Forever. Perfect for fans of Laini Taylor, Leigh Bardugo, Kerri Maniscalco, and Erin Morgenstern. Candace's Bio: Candace Robinson spends her days consumed by words and hoping to one day find her own DeLorean time machine. Her life consists of avoiding migraines, admiring Bonsai trees, watching classic movies, and living with her husband and daughter in Texas--where it can be forty degrees one day and eighty the next! Ayn is an incredibly successful, award-winning, best-selling author of many books on the topic of mythology and folklore for the modern age, including Heroines of Avalon & Other Tales and Legends of the Grail: Stories of Celtic Goddesses. When asked her if there was a difference between the journey of a hero and a heroine. She replied, “A hero has to find his strength. He's going to ride into the underworld and he's going to grab the hallows that he needs and he's going to come back with them. On a heroine's journey, we’re not slaying dragons. What we're doing is we're going to the place where the dragon resides and we're going to listen to the dragon. We're going to befriend the dragon, which can mean all kinds of things. The heroine has to become sensitive.”  Learn more and connect with Ayn: Website: www.ayncatessullivan.com Author Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/ILPBooks/ Book Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/LegendsoftheGrail/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/grailheroine/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ayncatesullivan Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35969402-legends-of-the-grail Author Blog: http://ayncatessullivan.com/blog/ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Transitioning From Single Author Blog to Multi Author Blog In today’s lesson, I want to talk about hiring writers for your blog. In order to do so, I want to share a case study of how I took my own photography blog from a single author blog, publishing 3 posts a week, to a blog that now has around 50 writers, and I don’t write anything. Most bloggers start out blogging as single author blogs and many remain that way. Even so, I’m regularly asked by bloggers how to add new writers to their blog without putting off their readers. So in today’s episode, I want to share a few reasons why a multi-author blog might be worth considering, and I want to share the 3 stages I went through to make the transition from single author blog to having a paid team of regular writers. Listen to this episode in the player above or here on iTunes. Some of the topics discussed today include: How I found my first guest writers Where I currently find new writers How I transitioned from relying upon guest posters to having a writing team How I took readers on that journey So if you’ve ever wondered if you should consider adding new voices to your blog - this is for you. My name is Darren Rowse, and I’m the blogger behind ProBlogger.com - a blog, podcast, event, job board, and a series of eBooks all designed to help you as a blogger to grow your audience to create great content, to build your readership, and to ultimately make money from your blog, if that is your goal. You can find today’s shownotes over at problogger.com/podcast/169, and you can learn more about ProBlogger, the brand, and all the things that we do at ProBlogger.com. Now in today’s lesson, I want to talk to you about hiring writers for your blog. To do so, I want to share a case study of how I took my own photography blog, Digital Photography School,  from being a single-author blog, where I published three posts a week, to a blog that now has around 50 writers and an editor working for me, in which we now publish 14 posts a week, and I don’t write a single one of them. Most bloggers start out blogging as a single-author blog, and most probably remain that way. That’s totally fine, but I am regularly asked by bloggers if they should add new writers, and if they should, how to actually find those writers, without actually putting off their readers and disillusioning their readers. That’s what I want to talk about in today’s episode. I want to share a few reasons why a multi-author blog might be worth considering, some of the costs of doing it, but I also want to share the three stages I went through to transition from being that single-author blog to having a paid team of writers. I want to talk about how I found my first guest writers and share some techniques in getting some user-generated content, content that you don’t have to pay for, at least not in financial terms. I want to talk a little bit about where I find my new paid writers, and I want to talk a little bit about that transition from single-author blog to multi-author blog and how I took my readers on that journey. So if you’ve been wondering about whether you should add new authors to your blog, this is the episode for you. You can find today’s shownotes, where I will have some further reading, and there’s a full transcript of what I have a feeling might be a slightly lengthy show. There’s a lot of information I want to take you through. You can find those shownotes at problogger.com/podcast/169. Grab a drink perhaps because this is gonna be a meaty episode.

In episode 21 I interview Michael Stelzner, CEO of Social Media Examiner. We largely discussed the power of an online destination through a multi-author blog.  A multi-author blog is a destination. By creating a destination with highly valuable content from multiple authors, you can capture the almighty email address from visitors. Once you have an email address, you own it. Of course, people can unsubscribe. But, with a compelling content strategy, you dramatically improve your ability to build a sustainable and valuable asset. In the short run it's a lot of work to build your asset (the list). In the long run you can have a huge and valuable asset that can be leveraged in so many profitable ways. Tune into episode 21 of the Social Business Engine podcast hosted by Bernie Borges to learn from Michael Stelzner's success.  Catch the show notes here: http://www.socialbusinessengine.com/podcasts/build-online-destination-multi-author-blog/.
