Ben Carlisle is a Buffalo resident and lawyer. He recently ran a grassroots write in campaign for Buffalo mayor. "Mayor Ben" is a sharp guy and will make you think.
Ben Carlisle said it best make a choice write a name down don;t click on a ballot and with a shaded circle tear the whole city down. Meanwhile, Byron Brown has a proven track record of building affordable housing, with more planned in the pipeline! Buffalo's continuing renaissance must include affordable housing and amenities to ensure none of our residents are left out or left behind – helping to sustain Buffalo's communities for generations. In working collaboratively with the Common Council and other agencies, Byron Brown has created over 2,177 new housing units for residents, senior citizens and veterans in every section of the City. So Buffalo you have a choice - want a fresh start? go for Ben who knows the law and how to dream big and get things done - want to stay the course then go for Byron. Just remember - Indians in the old west... well they ate buffalo's --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mike-k-cohen/support
A had a call with Buffalo write-in independent candidate for Mayor Ben Carlisle, naturally we discussed the most important topic of the next few weeks in buffalo - Why did Sean McDermitt go for it on 4th down when he could have kicked a field goal? More also on the real best place to get wings in Buffalo while having a good brew - sorry Anchor Bar, even if my podcast is on Anchor FM I have to agree with Ben's Choice of Gabriel's gate, where my son Gabby once worked as bar-back and waiter, Then the topic shifted to Buffalo Politics and the need to keep the city competitive with hundreds of other second-tier metro areas across the country - high taxes and extreme governance may not be the best thing for a growing city. How such a move could drive back poverty and bring crime to a new level worrisome conditions with defunded and reduced law enforcement plan of India Walton. He also discussed Mayor Brown, which is a curious topic most voters didn't even know to vote when they heard Brown had lost the primary to a radical socialist supported by US communist party. So Bill's Mafia and America and the World listen in to our call and warts and all as I said no editing here What Ben has to say.... MORE ABOUT BEN BEN CARLISLE An American Dreamer a short video on why he is running and what are the reasons here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzbJojZCm1Y BEN'S WEBSITE:you can learn more about or send donations to support here for qualified donors https://www.carlisle22.com/ --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mike-k-cohen/support
Ben Carlisle, a believer in a dream the American Dream. He is running a challenging race and is Independent of the major Democrat contenders of India Walton or Incumbent Mayor Byron Brown. Some are calling him a protest write-in candidate that may actually help Walton, others say the opposite as his stand may give those who don't want DSA Socialism that could harm Buffalo for years to come given the current charter of the city means a strong mayor with a lot executive power. Buffalo's Mayor actually has a more direct influence in decision making than most in New York State and with no term limits? Ben says that has stagnated Buffalo's growth with long-term policy moves that while well intentioned lack the fluid advance of different leadership that is dynamic. Earlier we posted excerpts from his interview on Political Buzz with Phil Arno, the show on WBBZ TV can be watched here. Ben has a website and donation site on at his campaign website https://www.carlisle22.com/ We hope to interview Ben this week as the campaign turns towards the home stretch and as Bills Mafia try to find out why they didnt go for three on Monday Night Football or toss a pass to the corner? Audio in this podcast was recorded off a shared video for public consumption of an interview by Phil Arno and Political Buzz. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mike-k-cohen/support
A look at topics to talk about this week starting with virus collection, yes, the government wants to spend $125 to collect 12000 or so different diseases. I don't know about you but I think many people wouldn't trust this current administration with collecting 1000 stool or urine samples so far all they have done is raise concerns and have the president cussed out at every major sporting event in the USA. A call on Catholics to speak out and be heard on the Pope and church commenting on politics - no they like everyone - robes or not do not have exclusive rights to speak political and can be criticized by church members for thier meeting with people who claim to be catholic but sport acts the chuch says are sinful and wrong. In acts like abortion and the immorality pushed by the likes of Nancy Pelosi or Joe Biden, many US Catholics have called for their ex-communication or expulsion or even far worse for their actions as political leaders. Yet the pope poses for photos and meets with those he and the chucrh says kills those who cannot defend themselves the Unborn. Many ask why your double standard? Colin Powell passed away today at the age of 84 after complications with COVID. And we look at the situation with kidnapping in Haiti, this time it is a criminal gang and not terrorists in the traditional sense of the word, 18 people have been taken hostage a Canadian and 17 Americans taken off a bus after a visit to an orphanage by the missionaries. Lastly, a caller pointed out there is a third candidate in Buffalo - a write in - his name is Ben Carlisle - interview excerpt from WBBZ TV show Political Buzz watch it here: https://youtu.be/wGIsj0YDvuA Is this distraction to get votes away from Byron Brown or India Walton? Ben is a lawyer running as a write in he says on a platform of service - he's been a lawyer in Buffalo for 18 years. Also, we had a bit of song about Beer on the Polka Buzz show on WBBZ as well - which may be more interesting than my morning scramble. watch that here: https://youtu.be/TggzgdvHfEU --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mike-k-cohen/support
