On today's Monday News with the Fearsome Foursome, James, Glenn (still in Kansas City after the Illuminati economy conference), and Dwayne sit down with Ruston mayoral candidate William Faulkner (vs 12-year incumbent Ronny Walker) for a full-show town hall. They clear the Sound and the Fury, "Parker," and "Field father" gags, then get into Faulkner's Air Force contracting and Treasury Office of Financial Research path home, the Lincoln Parish Park trailer romance, and a tornado bond with James's old neighbors. Dwayne's Chair Force parallel and "big little town vs growth" sports-car question lead into a Rust Town naming pop quiz, Made-in-Ruston jobs for tech grads already here, LA Tech's presidential retirement and the summer restaurant crash, and Glenn's Waffle House Index FEMA lore (plus James's Superdome theory). Then comes a long honest fight over a public pool, year-to-year capital budgets, and why Ruston still lacks a multi-year capital improvement plan. Faulkner would knock the Flock cameras down for privacy, beef police starting pay off about $38k, and try volunteer park patrols after Huckleberry. They dig Walker's headcount claims, "communication controls imagination," AI as staffer not mayor (Grok agents eating the file-clerk job), Friday-agenda records traps, stacked sales taxes, and Faulkner's solemn promise of two town halls two months before any tax election. A Milton Friedman AI fact-check fail, a capitalism sequel tease, the I-20 bridge flag, Maple Street energy at PJ's Exit 33, and Legal Tuesday tomorrow close it out. Don't miss it!
