Mass shooting at Texas elementary school, 14 children and one teacher dead, multiple injuries https://thepostmillennial.com/breaking-mass-shooting-at-texas-elementary-school-two-children-dead-multiple-injuries?utm_campaign=64487 18 students are dead and two teacher following the shooting, and the shooter's grandma was also killed prior to the school shooting. This according to Governor Greg Abbott, who said the shooter "shot and killed horrifically, 14 students, and killed a teacher." According to Ali Bradley, the suspect was wanted for murder and was being pursued by police when he exited his vehicle and ran into the grade school, where he began shooting. "The shooter was Salvador Ramos, an 18-year-old male who resided in Uvalde, it is believed that he abandoned his vehicle and entered the Robb Elementary school with a handgun and he may have also had a rifle, but that is not yet confirmed... He shot and killed, horrifically, incomprehensibly, 14 students and killed a teacher. Mr. Romas... he himself is deceased and it is believed that responding officers killed him," said Gov. Abbott on Tuesday. Mike Rowe Says Feds Revoked His Filming Permit, Received Call Claiming It Was Pulled For His ‘Personal Politics’ https://www.dailywire.com/news/mike-rowe-says-feds-revoked-his-filming-permit-received-call-claiming-it-was-pulled-for-his-personal-politics “Television host Mike Rowe said that the General Services Administration (GSA) recently revoked his permit to shoot a new episode of “Dirty Jobs” and wondered whether it was done for “political reasons” or as an attempt to “yank my chain,” which he said the move failed to do. In a lengthy message posted Monday on Facebook, Rowe explained why he didn’t appear at the job site this week as scheduled to shoot an episode highlighting a woman-owned company in the boilermaker trade. Rowe said that to his both surprise and disappointment the shoot was canceled “at the last minute” when the GSA “suddenly revoked our permit.” “I just wanted to assure you guys that this decision had nothing to do with me, Discovery, or my production team,” Rowe wrote. “This decision was made solely by the GSA, who oversees the location where you are currently working, and required us to apply for a permit months ago. Obviously, we did. The necessary permits were quickly issued, and we were assured several times over the last few months that everything was still good to go.” “Then, just two days before I was scheduled to arrive, we received a phone call from a woman at the GSA who informed us that our permits were being revoked,” he added. “When we asked for an explanation, she said, ‘security concerns.’ When we asked her what kind of security concerns, she said she didn’t know. She only told us that the decision had come down from ‘the very highest levels within the GSA.'” The TV host did not specify the location of the scheduled shoot but posted pictures of what appeared to be M&M Welding and Fabricators, the company his show had planned to feature in the episode. Rowe went on to reference other places where the show “has filmed in many sensitive environments under government control,” citing previous permits obtained from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and NASA, adding, “We even got a permit to film inside the National Security Agency!” “What’s really going on here?” Rowe asked in his post. Rowe said his crew later received a call from someone he said “sounded credible” who claimed the permit was revoked because of Rowe’s viewpoints. “According to this caller, someone at the highest levels of the GSA, ‘doesn’t like Mike Rowe’s personal politics,’ and used their power to deliberately string us along until the last possible second, for the express purpose of ‘yanking my chain,'” Rowe wrote. Rowe admitted he can’t say for sure if what the caller told him was accurate.” Supreme Court to weigh Christian web designer’s free speech argument against anti-discrimination law https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/may/18/supreme-court-weigh-christian-web-designers-free-s/ “Lorie Smith, a Colorado web designer who will have her case heard during the court’s 2022 term, argues that the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act forces her to create websites that celebrate same-sex marriages, which violates her faith. Her case comes four years after a Christian baker from Colorado also took his First Amendment fight to the high court after refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex wedding. Ms. Smith said she observed Mr. Phillips’ more-than-a-decade-long legal battle, but knew she couldn’t live in fear of the government punishing her for her faith. Like Mr. Phillips, she’s also faced threats for challenging the law. “I knew I couldn’t live in fear,” she told reporters in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. “I am simply asking for the freedom for all of us to speak consistently with our beliefs.” The same state regulation is at issue in Ms. Smith’s challenge. Her 303 Creative is based in Denver and is subject to Colorado’s public accommodations law that is designed to protect certain groups from discrimination in business settings. One such group is LGBTQ people. At least 29 states have added protection for LGBTQ individuals into their public accommodation laws — but some have protected speech from government interference, according to Ms. Smith’s legal team. Under the Colorado law, Ms. Smith claims she is unable to make a statement on her website about her view that marriage is only between a man and a woman. A federal appeals court ruled against Ms. Smith, saying the state of Colorado can regulate a business’s speech because it has an interest in ensuring equal access. Ms. Smith said she loves using her talents to shape messages for her clients — so long as the messages do not violate her values. “I do believe God has chosen me to represent him,” she said. “Everything I do is consistent with my faith and running my business is a part of that.” Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, though, insists companies cannot discriminate. “The U.S. Supreme Court has consistently held that anti-discrimination laws, like Colorado’s, apply to all businesses selling goods and services. Companies cannot turn away LGBTQ customers just because of who they are. We will vigorously defend Colorado’s laws, which protect all Coloradans by preventing discrimination and upholding free speech,” he said earlier this year when the high court took the case. A date for oral arguments in the legal battle has not yet been scheduled, but Kristen Waggoner, an attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom representing Ms. Smith, said they expect the justices to hear the case in October.” Lies, Propaganda, Story Telling, and the Serrated Edge: This year our national conference is in Knoxville, TN October 6th-8th. The theme of this year’s conference is Lies, Propaganda, Storytelling and the Serrated Edge. Satan is the father of lies, and the mother of those lies is a government who has rejected God. We have especially been lied to these last two years, and the COVIDpanic has been one of the central mechanisms that our government has used to lie to us and to grab more power. Because Christians have not been reading their bibles, we are susceptible to lies and weak in our ability to fight these lies. God has given us His word to fight Satan and his lies, and we need to recover all of God’s word, its serrated edge and all. Indiana's Legislature Just Overrode Their "Conservative" Governor's Veto Of Bill That Kept Men Out Of Women's Sports https://notthebee.com/article/boom-indianas-legislature-just-overrode-their-conservative-governors-veto-of-bill-that-kept-men-out-of-womens-sports Indiana is one of the many red states that have governors who are unwilling to actually stand up for conservative principles and unflinchingly state the reality that boys are boys and girls are girls. With the opportunity to do just that a few weeks ago, Indiana's governor, Eric Holcomb, vetoed a bill that kept men out of women's sports. Holcomb tried to compromise Indiana girls, but the legislature was not about to have it. According to ABC News: “The Indiana Legislature voted Tuesday to override the governor's veto of the anti-trans bill that bans transgender girls from participating in girls' sports in K-12 schools. Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb vetoed the bill in March. He said the bill fell short in clarifying or creating policy to ensure "fairness" in school sports. In his veto letter, he said he echoed the Indiana High School Athletic Association's concerns that the bill does not address inconsistencies about enforcement across different counties and school districts and will cause confusion and litigation against schools. He also pointed to pending litigation seen in other states that have passed similar laws, where courts have enjoined or prohibited the laws from taking effect. "Any bill brought forward should address the issues raised in these lawsuits," Holcomb's March letter read. He also said there was no evidence of an issue of fairness in girls' sports and trans participation.” Just grateful for checks and balances. Founded in 1971 by German economist Klaus Schwab, the World Economic Forum (WEF) is an unaccountable, non-governmental organization which convenes meetings of world leaders in Davos, Switzerland, with a view to impacting policy decisions on behalf of its members: predominantly multi-national corporations and politicians. The group has been criticized for its stated aims of transforming or “resetting” global society for the benefit of private corporations rather than the public. Schwab himself has argued governments are no longer “the overwhelmingly dominant actors on the world stage” and “the time has come for a new stakeholder paradigm of international governance.” As a result, The National Pulse is announcing a new commitment to exposing the work of the World Economic Forum, and is calling on ordinary members of the public to help support this effort through our crowdfunding site: FundRealNews.com Speaking on the subject, The National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam said: “We’re not just setting up a resource for members of the public to learn more about the World Economic Forum, we’re also crowdsourcing information on the group. The World Economic Forum is the throbbing, blackened heart of globalism, and we intend to drive a stake in it. The SBC get’s #MeToo’d, sex abuse allegations for pronoun abuse, and military chaplains bring a lawsuit over forced vaccines… and more on today’s CrossPolitic Daily News Brief. My name is Toby Sumpter and today is Tuesday, May 24, 2022. https://www.christianitytoday.com/news/2022/may/southern-baptist-abuse-investigation-sbc-ec-legal-survivors.html Christianity Today, the failing flagship of lukewarm evangelicalism breathlessly broke a story over the weekend, alleging a massive cover up of abuse in the Southern Baptism Convention: “Armed with a secret list of more than 700 abusive pastors, Southern Baptist leaders chose to protect the denomination from lawsuits rather than protect the people in their churches from further abuse. Survivors, advocates, and some Southern Baptists themselves spent more than 15 years calling for ways to keep sexual predators from moving quietly from one flock to another. The men who controlled the Executive Committee (EC)—which runs day-to-day operations of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC)—knew the scope of the problem. But, working closely with their lawyers, they maligned the people who wanted to do something about abuse and repeatedly rejected pleas for help and reform. “Behind the curtain, the lawyers were advising to say nothing and do nothing, even when the callers were identifying predators still in SBC pulpits,” according to a massive third-party investigative report released Sunday.” OK, people. Take a deep breath and think like a Christian. This is the same kind of language we’ve seen countless times over the last number of years, and you need to know that it is language that is calculated to get you worked up. I’m not saying anything yet about the legitimacy of any claims or accusations. I’m only talking about the set up. The set up is more #metoo outrage, which is not the way the Bible says to handle accusations of abuse or coverups. Don’t get dragged into the outrage mob. Click on the link to the so-called report, and what do we find? A trigger warning at the top of the report. Again, this doesn’t mean there isn’t anything in the report that needs to be addressed. I don’t know. I didn’t read the whole report. But what I will say is that we are living in a cauldron of hot outrage that far too many Christians are eager to jump into. And you need to know that the point of the outrage is to get you to do things you wouldn’t ordinarily do, things you really shouldn’t do. In the same way that racial animosity has been weaponized to foment social unrest, so too are accusations of sexual abuse. Is racial animosity ever happening? Yes, of course. Is sexual abuse ever happening? Unfortunately, yes. But what we need are biblical standards of justice not outrage mobs and extra biblical committees, more civil government intrusion, and various other humanistic solutions. So here are some key things to be looking for as this story unfolds: are clear distinctions being made between sins and crimes? Sins are bad, but they are the jurisdiction of families and churches. Crimes are also sins, but they must be reported to the police for adjudication. The other thing to watch out for is the necessity of two or three independent witnesses. If you have one witness who accuses and an alleged perpetrator who denies the charges, there is nothing that can be done. You are required by God to presume the innocence of the accused. It is not a cover up to refuse to do anything with an accusation of sin that has no other witnesses. If the accusation is of a crime, you must report it to the police, but believe it or not, they often follow biblical guidelines of justice and if there is no credible evidence of wrongdoing, they will not bring any charges, and it’s not a cover up, if you’ve reported a matter and done everything you can to find evidence and decide to leave the matter there. Of course if this report has documented instances with multiple witnesses who are willing to testify and those accusations were shushed and swept under the carpet, then the appropriate authorities should be called to investigate and deliberate and rule. But what the SBC should absolutely refuse to do is create new committees of abuse awareness, abuse investigation, and certainly not allow state or federal government agencies into the workings of the church. A major part of this move over the last number of years has been to try to disqualify ordained ministers from doing the job Jesus assigned them to do. In the realm of sins, the minister of the gospel is authorized by Jesus to put things right, following Biblical due process guidelines. And when a minister of the gospel does that, He is not covering anything up. He is doing his job, and sin is being covered by the blood of Jesus, by Christian (which covers multitudes of sins), and no minister should ever apologize for doing that. This year our national conference is in Knoxville, TN October 6th-8th. The theme of this year’s conference is Lies, Propaganda, Storytelling and the Serrated Edge. For many years, Christians have largely surrendered to secular stories. We have assumed that beauty is merely in the eye of the beholder, and therefore, it’s all relative. But what if beauty is objective – that if the art of persuasion is something far deeper and more profound? What if words have the power of life and death? What if our words mimic God’s words, making and breaking whole worlds? Christians must certainly stand on the solid rock of truth, but we must also recover goodness and beauty, stories and song, with all of God’s Word, even the sharp parts, at the center. Mark your calendars for October 6th-8th, as we fight, laugh and feast with fellowship, beer and Psalms, our amazing lineup of speakers, hanging with our awesome vendors, meeting new friends, and more. Early bird tickets sale now!. https://www.foxnews.com/us/middle-schoolers-sexual-harassment-gender-pronouns Speaking of the lies and propaganda. This is From a listener: Three Wisconsin boys are facing sexual harassment charges from their middle school over accusations that they used incorrect gender pronouns on a fellow student. "I received a phone call from the principal over at the elementary school, forewarning me; letting me know that I was going to be receiving an email with sexual harassment allegations against my son," Rosemary Rabidoux, a parent of one of the accused, told Fox 11 News last week. "I immediately went into shock. I’m thinking, sexual harassment? That’s rape, that’s inappropriate touching, that’s incest" Rabidoux continued. "What has my son done?" But none of the concerns Rabidoux had were at issue. Instead, her 13-year-old son, Braden, was accused of using incorrect pronouns to address another student at Kiel Middle School. "(The investigating principal) said he’s being allegedly charged with sexual harassment for not using proper pronouns," Rabidoux said. "I thought it wasn’t real. I thought this has got to be a gag, a joke – one has nothing to do with the other." Now her son and two other boys are being charged by school officials with Title IV violations, which prohibits gender-based harassment. The incident in question reportedly took place in March, when a student announced a preference of "they" and "them" to identify them. But Rabidoux said her son was merely sticking up for one of his friends. "She had been screaming at one of Braden’s friends to use proper pronouns, calling him profanity, and this friend is very soft-spoken, and kind of just sunk down into his chair," Rabidoux said. "Braden finally came up, defending him, saying ‘He doesn’t have to use proper pronouns, it’s his constitutional right to not use, you can’t make him say things.’" The mother told ABC 2 News that the new pronoun preference also caused confusion for her son, with her instructing him to just address the student by their name instead. "It’s plural. It doesn’t make sense to him. I said so, I told him to call them by their names." Rabidoux said. Now the parents are calling on the charges to be dismissed through an attorney with the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty. A few things here: First off: get your kids out of public school. Make the sacrifice. Do whatever it takes. Second: remember that it’s these same crazy people who are accusing the SBC of sexual abuse cover-ups. Again, I’m not saying there’s nothing to it. But I’m just saying we should have all kinds of skeptical when Christianity Today (that bastion of orthodusty) breathlessly shares the latest gossip. Remember, Christian Today probably thinks you should use the pronouns and you’re being rude not to. Gold River Trading Co. Lakewood-based Yeshiva Perchei Shoshanim, a Torah observant endorser of Chaplains to the United States Military, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard has issued a letter that their Chaplians may apply for a religious exemption. However, the organization alleges that the Department of Defense across the board is virtually denying all religious applications to be exempt from having to vaccinate. 30 Chaplains from all branches of the service, including Air Force Chaplain Yirmeyahu Rodriguez, endorsee of Pirchei Shoshanim, have filed the lawsuit. Also named defendants, were the Secretary of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The action was filed in federal court in Tampa, FL. Davis Younts representing the Chaplains, released a press statement Saturday on behalf of his client Lt. Bill Moseley, noting that a board of three Navy officers had vindicated Lt. Moseley’s refusal to take the vaccine. However with the information coming down that the Navy and all other services intend to require blanket implementation without any religious exemptions, Lt. Moseley risked his twenty-two year career and military retirement because of his faith and commitment to his oath of office as a military leader. The lawsuit argues that members of the Chaplaincy should be allowed exemption on the basis of religion, and that it is not a lawful order to be required to take an experimental vaccine, especially since the particular version approved by the FDA is not even available to military members. The fight for freedom continues apace. Pray for the chaplains in this fight. Idaho Family Policy Center: I wanted to let you all know about Idaho Family Policy Center. This is Garrison Hardie with your CrossPolitic Daily News Brief for Monday, May 23rd. 2022. We’re finally back after a week in the Valley of the Sun, also known as Phoenix Arizona… We were down filming a TV show with our corporate sponsors Aromored Republic, as well as wrapping up our CrossPolitic Liberty Tour, where we discussed the five stones of true liberty… because we have giants to slay in our land. You can find the show on our app, as it was our Sunday Special… and with guys like Jeff Durbin, Delano Squires, and Dr. James White on the stage, you’ll want to check it out. So here’s what you guys missed over the weekend… First, have you guys heard there’s this scary new virus on the loose? The WHO, or World Health Organization seems to think we should be terrified of it. Well according to CNBC, the Monkey Pox is spreading primarily through sex… but not just any sex…. It’s primarily spreading through homosexuals… That’s right folks, monkey pox is here, and we’ve rolled out the rainbow carpet for it… Biden says everyone needs to be concerned… https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/23/monkeypox-outbreak-is-primarily-spreading-through-sex-who-officials-say.html Monkeypox: 'Everybody should be concerned,' says Joe Biden Play whole clip. Well you heard it there, Biden says everyone should be concerned about it, therefore, it’s probably nothing to be concerned about… the article from CNBC reads, An outbreak of the monkeypox virus in North America and Europe is primarily spreading through sex among men with about 200 confirmed and suspected cases across at least a dozen countries, World Health Organization officials said Monday. The outbreak has quickly advanced across Europe and North America over the last week and is expected to be far more widespread as more doctors look for the signs and symptoms. Two confirmed and one suspected case of monkeypox in the U.K. were reported to the WHO just 10 days ago, the first cases this year outside of Africa where the virus has generally circulated at low levels over the last 40 years, the organization said. European nations have confirmed dozens of cases in what’s become the largest outbreak of monkeypox ever on the continent, according to the German military. The U.S. and has confirmed at least two cases and Canada has confirmed at least five so far. Belgium just introduced a mandatory 21-day quarantine for monkeypox patients. While we’re on it, Belgium recently hosted a gay-fetish festival called The Darklands Festival… Well, organizers of a fetish festival in Belgium are warning attendees of possible exposure to monkeypox after public health officials linked three cases to the event that recently concluded in Antwerp. The Darklands Festival posted the notice on its website on Friday, the same day Belgian public health officials confirmed cases of the rare viral disease. The announcement comes amid growing concern from scientists about the spread of monkeypox, which is commonly found in tropical rainforests in Central and West Africa, and is now being reported in Europe. Darklands is a four-day event catered toward gay men that includes a daytime festival, several nighttime parties, as well as education and shopping that features "an extraordinary selection for fetish retailers at the gear market," according to its website. The festival concluded on May 9. I won’t go into details on this festival, but you can imagine that numerous forms of debauchery and lust, were taking place… Portugal has 21 known cases, most of them were linked to the festival. Spain was also linked to the Monkey Pox with 21 confirmed cases, most of them, linked with a gay sauna… also known as a sauna… Sky News recently released some fear porn of their own, and spoke on the higher chance of gay men getting the virus. Monkeypox: What you need to know Play 1:57-2:54 Ah yes, it has to be balanced with the stigma, of accurate science… The WHO convened an emergency meeting this weekend via video conference to look at the virus, identify those most at risk and study its transmission. The organization will hold a second global meeting on monkeypox next week to more thoroughly study the risks and treatments available to fight the virus. While the virus itself is not a sexually transmitted infection, the most recent surge in cases appears to have been spread among men who have sex with other men, WHO officials said, emphasizing that anyone can contract monkeypox. The virus is spread through close contact with people, animals or material infected with the virus. It enters the body through broken skin, the respiratory tract, the eyes, nose and mouth. Though human-to-human transmission is believed to occur through respiratory droplets as well, that method requires prolonged face-to-face contact because the droplets cannot travel more than a few feet, according to the CDC. It should also be noted, that this particular strain of monkey pox, has a mortality rate, of less than 1%... and by the way, there was an outbreak of monkey pox before! Back in 2003, there were 47 confirmed cases in the U.S., and it was the first time monkey pox was found outside of Africa. The more you know! By the way, the New York Department of Health, is suggesting that masks can help protect from monkey pox… who could’ve seen this coming? I won’t get into it on this show, but you can find the link in the show notes. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/monkeypox-new-york-city-virus-masks-b2084287.html Changing topics here… Did you know that more than 75% of those raised in evangelical, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches don’t pursue any kind of Christian higher education? Surprising isn’t it. Cornerstone Work & Worldview Institute is seeking to provide a new, exciting, and affordable option for Christians. Their mission is to build Kingdom culture in the workplace by equipping their students in a Trinitarian worldview and vocational competencies. Their low-cost full-time program offers integrative course modules, internships, and mentoring so their students can finish debt-free with vocational preparation, a robust faith, and financial potential to build strong godly families and homes rooted in their communities and churches long-term. Visit their website at www.cornerstonework.org to find out more about enrolling. Alright, back to the former vice president Joe Biden, Biden says US will 'militarily' defend Taiwan against China if they invade. Whoa… according to the Post Millenial, President Joe Biden stated unequivocally that the US would intervene militarily on behalf of Taiwan should China invade its territory. Biden was speaking in Tokyo at a conference with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Noting that the US didn't want to "get involved in the Ukraine conflict militarily for obvious reasons," a reporter asked "are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?" Here’s how he responded: Biden: US would defend Taiwan militarily Play full clip: Past presidents have offered what The New York Times calls "strategic ambiguity" when confronted with questions about a military response to a potential Chinese invasion of Taiwan. Apparently Biden's staff was also surprised with the outright admission that the US would offer more than aid to Taiwan, as has been done in Ukraine, but actual military assistance further than arms and resources. The US had been walking a fine line up to this point, with statements about support for Taiwan, without saying exactly what that support would entail. This statement from Biden represents a departure in message from the White House. A statement from the White House sought to backtrack the President's comments, in a move that the press has become accustomed to over the past year and a half since Biden took office. Well hey, if there’s one thing that Taiwan can trust, it’s the words from our government. I mean, look at Afghanistan, or Ukraine… the U.S. never goes back on its word… It was in August that, after a similar statement by Biden that the US "would respond" if there were an attack against Taiwan, staff claimed that Biden was not changing the policy of the US. He had said then that the US has a "commitment" to defend Taiwan. If China were to invade Taiwan while the US were still supplying weapons to Ukraine to fight off their Russian aggressors, the US would be engaged in conflict against their greatest global rivals, Russia and China, at the same time, on two continents. Taiwan was pleased with Biden's remarks. Taiwan's Foreign Ministry expressed "gratitude" for the statement, the Times reported, for Biden's "rock-solid commitment to Taiwan." It was in October that they asked for help, saying that it was preparing for war against China. This was after the Chinese military sent a total of 52 aircraft into Taiwanese air space. In July 2021, Chinese state media published their "three-stage" plan for an invasion of Taiwan. That plan involved ballistic missiles, fighter jet attacks, and amphibious landings on Taiwan's beaches. Japan would perhaps join the US in defending Taiwan should the need arise, though leaders from that nation made no statement so bold as Biden's. The US Congress approved $40 billion in aid and weapons to Ukraine last week, and the Pentagon approved an additional $100 million in arms. This year our national conference is in Knoxville, TN October 6th-8th. The theme of this year’s conference is Lies, Propaganda, Storytelling and the Serrated Edge. San Francisco Archbishop bars Nancy Pelosi from Communion over abortion stance https://nypost.com/2022/05/20/san-francisco-archbishop-bars-pelosi-from-communion-over-abortion/?fbclid=IwAR0D804Pqq8W9u8YChrUfOxVPX7rJ2LcRmr7Kv48rjyO78XhUDeVhMaSnW0 San Francisco’s Roman Catholic archbishop has banned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) from receiving Holy Communion during Mass until she repents of her public pro-abortion stance. “A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others,” Ssalvatore Cordileone wrote in a public notification Friday. “Therefore, universal Church law provides that such persons ‘are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.'” “I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publically repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance,” the 65-year-old clergyman wrote. Cordileone noted that while he and Pelosi had discussed the issue in the past, the archbishop has “not received such an accommodation to my many requests” to speak again following the September passage of a controversial Texas abortion law which bans abortions after a heart beat is detected – usually at six weeks. At that time, Pelosi vowed to codify the Supreme Court’s landmark Roe v. Wade ruling into federal law. In recent weeks, Pelosi has doubled down on that stance in light of a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that indicated Roe will be overturned later this year. The archbishop noted that he will “continue to offer up prayer and fasting” for the Speaker in the coming weeks. Pelosi’s office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment. Federal judge strikes down Tennessee's transgender bathroom sign law https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/judge-strikes-tennessees-transgender-bathroom-sign-law-rcna29267 Let’s take a dip back into the pool of gender insanity shall we? According to NBC News, A federal judge struck down a Tennessee law Tuesday that would have required businesses in the state to post warning notices on their public restrooms if they have policies allowing transgender patrons to use the facilities that match their gender identities. The American Civil Liberties Union challenged the law in June on behalf of two business owners — the owner of Sanctuary, a performing arts and community center in Chattanooga, and the owner of Fido, a restaurant in Nashville, among other businesses. The law went into effect on July 1, but U.S. District Judge Aleta A. Trauger issued a preliminary injunction against it a week later. Then on Tuesday, Trauger permanently blocked the law by granting the ACLU's motion for summary judgment, which asks a court to decide a case without a full trial. She wrote in a 40-page decision that the law violates the First Amendment of the Constitution because it compels speech that is controversial and with which the plaintiffs disagree. The law required business owners with even informal policies that allow people to use whichever bathroom they want to post a sign that reads, “This facility maintains a policy of allowing the use of restrooms by either biological sex regardless of the designation on the restroom,” at the entrances of single-sex public restrooms, locker rooms, dressing areas or other facilities that are “designated for a specific biological sex ... where a person would have a reasonable expectation of privacy.” The law said the sign must be at least 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall and use the colors red and yellow, with a boldface typeface, among other requirements. Representatives for the state argued that the law is a "content-neutral" rule meant to clarify restroom signage and is not meant to be an endorsement of how gender identity should be understood, according to the opinion. The ACLU's clients, they argued, have “imagined an idiosyncratic, hidden undertone to the [required] signage.” Trauger, who was appointed to the court by President Bill Clinton, disagreed, noting that the government's preferred view of how gender works — that it is dictated by "biological sex," which is assigned at birth and is limited to male or female — is contested. Sign up now at crosspolitic.com/libertytour. https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-led-louisiana-house-fails-to-pass-bill-abolishing-abortion Ben Zeisloft at the DailyWire reports: Members of the Louisiana House of Representatives failed to pass a bill that would have abolished abortion by applying homicide laws to women who procure the procedure. The Abolition of Abortion in Louisiana Act (HB813) — which has gained national and international media attention — recognizes “the right to life and equal protection of the laws to all unborn children from the moment of fertilization by protecting them by the same laws protecting other human beings.” Accordingly, it applied state laws about homicide to children in the womb. Last week, lawmakers on the Louisiana House’s criminal justice committee approved the bill by a 7 to 2 vote. However, after legislators approved an amendment on Thursday stating that “the pregnant female shall not be held responsible for the criminal consequences” of seeking an abortion by a 65 to 26 vote, State Rep. Danny McCormick — the Republican who sponsored HB813 — asked to pull the bill from the House floor. Louisiana Right to Life announced its opposition to HB813 ahead of the House vote because it applied criminal penalties to mothers who procure abortion. Likewise, Governor John Bel Edwards (D-LA) — remarking that his “Catholic Christian faith” teaches him to be pro-life — followed suit in opposing the legislation. “I felt I had to join my voice to the chorus of pro-life organizations against HB813,” he said in a statement. Pro-life activist Abby Johnson recently condemned Louisiana Right to Life for opposing HB813. “Either the preborn are fully human or they aren’t,” she saidon Twitter. “When abortion is illegal, people must pay the penalty for killing their children. These children deserve justice.” Replying to Edwards’ opposition to the bill, Johnson said, “Well, well, well. Look how many pro-aborts you have made happy!!” Brian Gunter — the senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Livingston, Louisiana, who was instrumental in organizing other Christians in the state to support the legislation — told The Daily Wire that Edwards “believes there are no circumstances under which a woman should be held accountable if she knowingly and intentionally kills her preborn child.” “HB813 protects a woman who is coerced into an abortion and prosecutes the person who forces her to have an abortion,” he said of the bill in its original form. “If Governor Edwards believes the preborn child is just as much a person as the born child, then it is absurd for him to suggest that the preborn child should be discriminated against and denied equal protection under law. No one should be allowed to murder preborn children without consequences.” Last week, Gunter remarked to The Daily Wire that Louisiana’s current pro-life trigger law — the “The Human Life Protection Act” — only penalizes abortionists with $1,000 fines, even though animal cruelty is fined at up to $25,000 in Louisiana. https://thehill.com/news/senate/3486654-rand-paul-objection-delays-40-billion-ukraine-aid-package/ Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) hit the brakes Thursday on bipartisan hopes that the Senate could quickly pass nearly $40 billion in Ukraine aid before leaving town for the week. Paul objected to a deal offered by Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer(D-N.Y.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) that would have set up votes on Thursday afternoon on the funding and on an amendment from Paul, who wanted to include language in the bill to expand an Afghanistan inspector general role to include oversight of the Ukraine funds. Paul blocked the votes because he wants his language inserted into the text of the bill instead of having to take his chance with an amendment vote, which could be blocked. The stalemate will delay the Senate’s passage of the Ukraine package until at least next week, and potentially beyond. “There is now only one thing holding us back, the junior senator from Kentucky is preventing swift passage of Ukraine aid because he wants to add, at the last minute, his own changes directly into the bill … He is not even asking for an amendment. He is simply saying my way or the highway,” Schumer said. “Ukraine is not asking us to fight this war. They’re only asking for the resources they need to defend themselves against this deranged invasion, and they need help right now,” McConnell said. Paul, however, warned about the pace of spending, arguing that “we cannot save Ukraine by dooming the U.S. economy.” “Americans are feeling the pain [from inflation] and Congress seems intent only on adding to that pain by shoveling more money out the door as fast as they can,” Paul said. Did you know that more than 75% of those raised in evangelical, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches don’t pursue any kind of Christian higher education? Surprising isn’t it. Visit their website at www.cornerstonework.org to find out more about enrolling. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2022/05/baby-formula-shortage-abbott-recall/629828/ Derek Thompson at The Atlantic: America’s baby-formula shortage has gone from curious inconvenience to full-blown national crisis. In many states, including Texas and Tennessee, more than half of formula is sold out in stores. Nationwide, 40 percent of formula is out of stock—a twentyfold increase since the first half of 2021. As parents have started to stockpile formula, retailers such as Walgreens, CVS, and Target have all moved to limit purchases. Three factors are driving the U.S. baby-formula shortage: bacteria, a virus, and a trade policy. First, the bacteria. After the recent deaths of at least two infants from a rare infection, the Food and Drug Administration investigated Abbott, a major producer of infant formula, and discovered traces of the pathogen Cronobacter sakazakii in a Michigan plant. As a result, the FDA recalled several brands of formula, and parents were advised to not buy or use some formula tied to the plant. That brings us to the second cause: the virus. The pandemic has snarled all sorts of supply chains, but I can’t think of a market it’s yanked around more than infant formula. “During the spring of 2020, formula sales rocketed upwards as people stockpiled formula just like they stockpiled toilet paper,” Lyman Stone, the director of research at the consulting firm Demographic Intelligence, told me. Then, as “families worked through their stockpiles, sales fell a lot. This oscillation made planning for production extremely difficult. It was complicated to get an idea of the actual market size.” Meanwhile, Stone’s research has found that an uptick in births in early 2022 has corresponded with a “very dramatic decline in rates of breastfeeding” among new mothers, which pushed up demand for formula once again. In brief: Demand for formula surged as parents hoarded in 2020; then demand fell, leading suppliers to cut back production through 2021; and now, with more new mothers demanding more formula in 2022, orders are surging faster than supply is recovering. Finally, the third factor: America’s regulatory and trade policy. And while that might not sound as interesting to most people as bacteria and viruses, it might be the most important part of the story. FDA regulation of formula is so stringent that most of the stuff that comes out of Europe is illegal to buy here due to technicalities like labeling requirements. Nevertheless, one study found that many European formulas meet the FDA nutritional guidelines—and, in some ways, might even be better than American formula, because the European Union bans certain sugars, such as corn syrup, and requires formulas to have a higher share of lactose. Some parents who don’t care about the FDA’s imprimatur try to circumvent regulations by ordering formula from Europe through third-party vendors. But U.S. customs agents have been known to seize shipments at the border. U.S. policy also restricts the importation of formula that does meet FDA requirements. At high volumes, the tax on formula imports can exceed 17 percent. And under President Donald Trump, the U.S. entered into a new North American trade agreement that actively discourages formula imports from our largest trading partner, Canada. America’s formula policy warps the industry in one more way. The Department of Agriculture has a special group called WIC—short for Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children—that provides a variety of services to pregnant and breastfeeding women and their young children. It is also the largest purchaser of infant formula in the United States, awarding contracts to a small number of approved formula companies. As a result, the U.S. baby formula industry is minuscule, by design. A 2011 analysis by USDA reported that three companies accounted for practically all U.S. formula sales: Abbott, Mead Johnson, and Gerber. Look, it can be a real blessing to have baby formula for any number of legitimate reasons, but in general, there’s a God-given supply of baby formula ordinarily available through breast milk. Remember, we slaughter babies by the millions through abortion. This shouldn’t be a crisis. If women embraced motherhood, if men embraced fatherhood, if sex was reserved for the covenant of marriage, and if our culture celebrated the motherhood as the highest calling of a woman, sure it would be a blessing to have alternative nutrition in unusual circumstances, but if women were not so concerned about getting back to work, we wouldn’t be in this situation. Lies, Propaganda, Story Telling, and the Serrated Edge DNB: This year our national conference is in Knoxville, TN October 6th-8th. The theme of this year’s conference is Lies, Propaganda, Storytelling and the Serrated Edge. Satan is the father of lies, and the mother of those lies is a government who has rejected God. Because Christians have not been reading their bibles, we are susceptible to lies and weak in our ability to fight these lies. God has given us His word to fight Satan and his lies, and we need to recover all of God’s word, its serrated edge and all. Mark your calendars for October 6th-8th, as we fight, laugh and feast with fellowship, beer and Psalms, our amazing lineup of speakers, hanging with our awesome vendors, meeting new friends, and more. Early bird tickets will be available starting in the middle of March. Go to FLFNetwork.com and click on “Come to the Conference.” https://notthebee.com/article/a-federal-court-just-ruled-that-californias-under-21-prohibition-on-semiautomatic-firearms-is-unconstitutional-and-the-court-cited-the-revolutionary-war-as-precedent- California's ban on semiautomatic weapons sales to adults under 21 was ruled unconstitutional by a federal appeals court on Wednesday... The court agreed in a 2-1 decision with the argument of the Firearms Policy Coalition, which brought the case challenging the law that took effect last July, saying it infringed on the Second Amendment rights of adults between the ages of 18 and 20… "America would not exist without the heroism of the young adults who fought and died in our Revolutionary Army," Judge Ryan Nelson wrote for the appeals court. “Today we reaffirm that our Constitution still protects the right that enabled their sacrifice: the right of young adults to keep and bear arms.” The Psalm of the Day: Psalm 72 https://open.spotify.com/track/3tJNqzPNBKzIag3yQnLqG0?si=6b841d37db2141ba 0:00-0:43 Amen! Louisiana prolife bill, Rand Paul, Baby Formula, and guns …and more on today’s CrossPolitic Daily News Brief. My name is Toby Sumpter and today is Friday, May 6, 2022. We are just days away from the last stop of our CrossPolitic Liberty Tour in Phoenix, Arizona. I would love to meet you in person in Phoenix, on May 19th. I will be joined by Chocolate Knox, the Gabe Rench the Water Boy, Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church, and Political analyst Delano Squires, who’s made appearances on the Blaze, and the Tucker Carlson show. Tickets are only $20, and we’ll be talking about the Five Stones of True Liberty. Their mission is to build Kingdom culture in the workplace by equipping their students in a Trinitarian worldview and vocational competencies. Hi, this is Garrison Hardie with your CrossPolitic Daily News Brief for Thursday, May 12th, 2022. Have you guys signed up for our CrossPolitic Liberty Tour show in Phoenix Arizona? We’re a week away at this point! We’ll be joined by Political Analyst, Delano Squires, who’s made appearances on The Tucker Carlson Show, and Jason Whitlock, you get the idea, he knows his stuff, and Pastor and friend of the show, Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church. So, as Pastor Toby mentioned in his News Brief yesterday, in the wake of the Supreme Court Opinions appearing to dismantle Roe V. Wade, protests erupted in Washington D.C. outside of Supreme Court justices homes… I’m sure you’ve seen the disturbing videos… well now the tables have turned, as Pro-abortion activists are protesting outside Nancy Pelosi's house accusing her of being 'complicit' in destroying abortion rights. https://www.theblaze.com/news/abortion-pelosi-home-protest-abortion#toggle-gdpr Pro-abortion activists turned their vitriol on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and blamed her and the Democratic leadership for the expected overturn of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. A small group of protesters demonstrated outside Pelosi's palatial mansion in San Francisco, California, on Tuesday. Video on social media showed a leader of the group vocalizing their fury… https://twitter.com/i/status/1524194201948278786 - Play whole video Boooo…. Boy those seven protesters were giving it their all there! The protest appeared to be organized by a far-left pro-abortion group called "Ruth Sent Us" that demanded Pelosi investigate the Supreme Court justices in order to "save" abortion. They accused her of being "careless and cowardly" in her leadership and blamed her for not doing enough to prevent Brett Kavanaugh from being nominated to the Supreme Court. The accusations against Pelosi paralleled those made against President Joe Biden by many on social media who accused him of not doing enough to protect abortion rights. Left-wing protesters have also targeted the homes of several members of the Supreme Court for protests, including those of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, meanwhile called on other Democrats to pass laws and file lawsuits at the state level to protect abortion ahead of the Roe. v. Wade decision expected to be made by the Supreme Court in several months. This is not the first time Pelosi's home has been a targeted by left-wing protesters. In Jan. 2021, protesters vandalized her home with graffiti and left a severed pig's head on her sidewalk. Well isn’t that lovely? I’m sure that Nancy will spin a fine yarn about the Roe V Wade situation… Now, I have a question for you… Did you know that more than 75% of those raised in evangelical, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches don’t pursue any kind of Christian higher education? Surprising isn’t it. Cornerstone Work & Worldview Institute is seeking to provide a new, exciting, and affordable option for Christians. FDA Commissioner Claims ‘Misinformation’ Is Now America’s Leading Cause Of Death https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/robert-spencer/2022/05/10/fda-commissioner-claims-misinformation-is-now-americas-leading-cause-of-death-n1596756 According to PJ Media, The Leftist establishment is waging all-out war against the freedom of speech under the guise of combating what it claims is “misinformation” and “disinformation.” Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton warned us against the supposedly rapidly spreading scourge of “disinformation,” and just days later, Biden’s Homeland Security Department unveiled its sinister Disinformation Governance Board, with an ill-defined and shifting scope of responsibilities. The Board, however, could be just the beginning. On Sirius XM’s Doctor Radio Reports Friday, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Robert Califf said, “I have been telling Congress that misinformation is the leading cause of death.” Well then, by all means, we must outlaw it immediately! On CNN Saturday, Califf doubled down, again warning against “misinformation” in such apocalyptic terms that he appeared to be signaling that Biden’s handlers are working on still more speech restrictions. https://edition.cnn.com/videos/health/2022/05/07/fda-robert-califf-intv-misinformation-death-sot-vpx.cnn As you heard there, when he was asked about treating Asked to explain why he thought “misinformation” was the leading cause of death in America today, Califf immediately retreated, admitting that he had no data to establish his claim and tacitly admitting that it was just a Leftist talking point… in short, the interview should’ve stopped right there… “I have no data to support this next dumb thing I’m about to say.” Oh you have no data for this? Okay, end of discussion. Who is spreading misinformation here? That noted right-wing outlet, the New York Times, reported on Feb. 28 about a new study that didn’t quite agree with Califf’s rosy picture of the vaccines’ efficacy. As the omicron variant surged, the Times stated, “the vaccine’s effectiveness against hospitalization declined to 73 percent from 85 percent in the older children. In the younger children, effectiveness dropped to 48 percent from 100 percent. But because few children were hospitalized, these estimates have wide margins of error. The numbers for protection from infection are more reliable. Vaccine effectiveness against infection in the older children decreased to 51 percent from 66 percent. But in the younger children, it dropped sharply to just 12 percent from 68 percent.” But as far as Robert Califf is concerned, if we silence such inconvenient data and only allow the FDA’s line to flood the airwaves, many lives will be saved. We’ll be living in an authoritarian police state that silences dissenting views, but when has the Left ever been worried about that? Well Ohio seems to be worried about stuff like this, as a bill has been presented, that would ban Facebook, Twitter from censoring users… color me intrigued… https://fox8.com/news/ohio-bill-would-ban-facebook-twitter-from-censoring-users/ According to Fox 8 News in Columbus, One year after YouTube removed from its site a video in which an Ohio attorney touted lies about COVID-19, eight Republicans approved a bill to counter what they called Big Tech’s suppression of free speech. In an 8-4 vote Thursday, the Civil Justice Committee approved House Bill 441 to prohibit social media platforms from censoring expression based on a user’s “viewpoint” – not including speech that’s already deemed illegal under federal law, like harassment or shouting “fire” in a crowded theater. The bill joins an increasingly national discourse concerned with the uptick in social media sites deplatforming or restricting users – like the permanent suspension of former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account due to what Twitter says, was an incitement of violence… Though I’m sure we’ve all heard by now that Elon Musk said that he would reverse the ban on Trump, calling it “unmoral”. Though, with him not being saved, what does he mean by unmoral? Who says? Anyways. “By preventing Big Tech companies from continuing to engage in viewpoint discrimination, we hope to protect the free exchange of ideas and information in Ohio,” Rep. Scott Wiggam (R-Wooster) said in his testimony before the Civil Justice Committee. While the bill does not equip the state with the power to enforce the censorship ban, it does allow individual Ohioans to file a civil suit against social media companies with more than 50 million U.S. users that block, remove or restrict them from using their site. The report from OpenTheBooks.com said the royalty payments, including at least 23 to Fauci and 14 to his former boss, Collins, were paid out between 2010 and 2020. Government scientists got the payments for being credited as “co-inventors” of various treatments and pharmaceutical products, according to the report. OpenTheBooks.com co-founder and CEO Adam Andrzejewski wrote, “Because those payments enrich the agency and its scientists, each and every royalty payment could be a potential conflict of interest and needs disclosure, NIH is a revolving door of tens of billions of dollars in government grant-making coupled with hundreds of millions of dollars in private – non-transparent – royalty payments.” The report paints an incestuous picture of the NIH doling out $30 billion a year in grants to some 56,000 recipients in Big Pharma, research institutes and other entities, with money flowing back to the secretive agency’s scientists and senior management in the form of huge royalty payments. It is not yet known how much the payments to Fauci, who is the U.S. government highest-salaried employee at $456,028, totaled. In addition to his salary and whatever royalty payments he has received, Fauci last year won a $1 million prize from the Dan David Foundation for “speaking truth to power.” Collins resigned as NIH director in December after leading the agency for 12 years. Fauci is the longtime head of NIH’s National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and also serves as chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden. OpenTheBooks.com made the $350 million estimate by extrapolating from documents received as part of a federal lawsuit against NIH. So far, the group has uncovered evidence of more than 22,100 royalty payments totaling nearly $134 million paid from 2009-2014 to 1,700 NIH scientists. The group is awaiting another 1,800 pages of royalty disclosures which would cover the period from 2015-2020. Under court order, the NIH has agreed to produce 300 pages a month, but insisted on producing documents related to Fauci last – sometime in November, according to Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch. CrossPolitic Daily News Brief for Wednesday May 11th, 2022. Intro this clip: https://twitter.com/johnwesleyreid/status/1524032799501697037 Justice Alito’s neighbor decided to blast “Tis So Sweet To Trust in Jesus” as pro-abortion protestors, outside of Alito’s home, shout something about wanting justice? We have a lot of work ahead of us, and this very much feels like a further up and further in moment. Now where was I. Oh that is right, the bloodlust for the abortion crowd is insanity, and you will be seeing unleashed insanity if Roe is overturned. After calling the LGBT to arm themselves, the Mayor of Chicago also promised that Chicago would become and abortion sanctuary. The call of violence is spreading and this pass Sunday a molotov cocktail was thrown into the Wisconsin Family Action offices. As the pro-abortion community found out about it, they decided to leave messages, and here is a compilation of some of those messages: https://notthebee.com/article/pro-life-wisconsin “(A) radical pro-abortion group named Jane’s Revenge is saying it was responsible and is threatening increasingly violent attacks that extend beyond Wisconsin if its demands are not met, writing, “Wisconsin is the first flashpoint, but we are all over the US, and we will issue no further warnings.” https://www.lifenews.com/2022/05/10/pro-abortion-group-says-it-firebombed-pro-life-office-promises-more-violence-nationwide-our-last-warning/ Plug Did you know that more than 75% of those raised in evangelical, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches don’t pursue any kind of Christian higher education? Surprising isn’t it. Cornerstone Work & Worldview Institute is seeking to provide a new, exciting, and affordable option for Christians. Their mission is to build Kingdom culture in the workplace by equipping their students in a Trinitarian worldview and vocational competencies. Roll clip: https://twitter.com/disclosetv/status/1524085282366177283 Friends, we have tons of military personnel that listen to our shows, and they keep us in the loop about what is going on, on the inside as they fight for their careers against the forced vaccination policies. Well right now there is an important court case in front of a federal district court judge in Omaha, that if the judge would rule in favor of religious exemptions, it would apply to the Air Force nationwide. According to the Omaha World Herald: https://omaha.com/news/state-and-regional/offutt-airmen-ask-judge-to-block-covid-vaccine-mandate-citing-religious-beliefs/article_8e96601c-cd89-11ec-b0a7-1f525a4310d5.html “Three current or former Offutt airmen who have refused the COVID-19 vaccine on religious grounds asked a federal district court judge in Omaha on Monday to stop the Air Force from discharging or otherwise punishing them. Capt. Ian McGee, an RC-135 instructor pilot with the Offutt-based 55th Wing, said he applied for a religious exemption eight months ago but hasn’t received a response from his chain of command. He expects it to be denied, as the Air Force has denied nearly all of the more than 7,800 airmen who have applied for them under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, known as RFRA. McGee said he would give up his nine-year military career rather than be injected with a vaccine tested with cell lines taken many years ago from aborted fetuses. “It goes against my sincerely held religious beliefs as a born-again Christian,” McGee testified. “My resolve is to stay with my relationship with Jesus Christ.” The three airmen are part of a larger group of 36 — including active-duty, National Guard and reserves — who filed suit in U.S. District Court in Nebraska in March seeking to overturn the mandate issued by the Pentagon last August. They argue it is a violation of their First Amendment rights. They are represented by former Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach and a team of lawyers from the America First Policy Institute, a conservative think tank organized last year by several top advisers in the administration of former President Donald Trump. Kris Kobach “blasted the elaborate multi-level review of the applications for religious exemptions, alleging that more than 7,500 have been denied and only 46 granted. And the ones granted were only for airmen who were within six months of retirement.” Be praying for our people in the military. This is stressful on their families, careers, and the mainstream media is giving them no voice. CrossPolitic is glad to do our part! Meanwhile, the Republican Senate is making some chess moves on behalf of our friends fighting in the military. According to the Military Times: https://www.militarytimes.com/news/coronavirus/2022/05/10/bill-would-mandate-honorable-discharge-for-all-troops-who-refuse-covid-vaccine-mandate/ A “proposal — led by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and backed by 13 other GOP colleagues” Would require Defense officials “to grant honorable dismissals to nearly all troops who refuse the COVID-19 vaccine and grant waivers to troops with “natural immunity” to the virus under new legislation introduced by Republican senators on Tuesday.” It “would also mandate that military leaders “make every effort to retain members of the Armed Forces who are not vaccinated” and broaden religious exemptions for the vaccine mandate.” Cruz said: ““It is absolutely unacceptable that [President Joe Biden’s] administration is trying to coerce our men and women in uniform to violate their conscience and religious beliefs, let alone on an issue as polarizing as the COVID-19 vaccine.” Last month, defense officials told Congress that about 3,400 troops have been involuntarily separated from service for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, mandated last fall for all military members. Of that group, about 70% have received general discharges, a designation that allows them to receive most veterans benefits and potentially rejoin the military at a later date. The other 30% have received honorable discharges. Congress last year forbade military leaders from issuing dishonorable discharges for vaccine refusal.” Lies, Propaganda, Story Telling, and the Serrated Edge: This year our national conference is in Knoxville, TN October 6th-8th. Mark your calendars for October 6th-8th, as we fight, laugh and feast with fellowship, beer and Psalms, our amazing lineup of speakers, hanging with our awesome vendors, meeting new friends, and more. Early bird tickets sale now!. Lastly, and I actually like this play here. DeSantis Signs Bill Requiring High Schools to Observe ‘Victims of Communism Day’ https://www.ntd.com/desantis-signs-bill-requiring-high-schools-to-observe-victims-of-communism-day_776951.html According to the NTD: “Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill Monday that requires “Victims of Communism Day” to be observed annually in public high schools across the state. The bill, known as HB 395, requires public schools to tell students about genocides, famines, and persecutions under communist regimes, including the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Soviet Union. The bill passed the Florida House and Senate unanimously earlier this year. “We want to make sure that every year folks in Florida, but particularly our students, will learn about the evils of communism, the dictators that have led communist regimes, and the hundreds of millions of individuals who suffered and continue to suffer under the weight of this discredited ideology,” DeSantis said Monday morning. The Victims of Communism organization has estimated that communist regimes have caused the deaths of at least 100 million people via political purges, religious persecutions, mass starvation, and other crimes against humanity during the 20th century. Chief among those regimes is the CCP, which is believed to have left around 80 million Chinese people dead.” This is Gabriel Rench with Crosspolitic News.
