Welcome to a Friday special! This week's bonus episode features an interview with Pastor Mike Erre, teaching pastor at Journey Church in Franklin, Tennessee, and host of the Voxology podcast. We recently brought you an interview with Pastor Doug Wilson, a leader in the Christian nationalist movement who recently led prayers at the Pentagon. I was blessed to sit down once again with Pastor Doug Wilson in his Idaho office to discuss a variety of China-related topics, including Trump's China tactics and whether or not Doug thinks he'll ever stand on the Great Wall of China. We also spent quite a few minutes discussing his early years in Japan, which was sort of unplanned. The conversation was fascinating and fun and we only stopped because of time restraints. I have a few more questions that I had to leave for a future conversation. Here's the link to our previous conversation back in the Fall of 2025, of which I wrote the following... In our 30+ minute conversation, we touched on many topics including the Great Leap Forward, Mao’s Great Famine, Doug’s Submarine Adventures with a Taiwanese crew, the China Legacies of Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter, the Tiananmen Square massacre (and revival), China’s modern-day revival, C.S. Lewis’s 1946 China optimism vs. Doug’s (short-term) pessimism, Hebrews 13:3 and how to pray for the persecuted, and PrayforChina.us’s helpful strategy! https://pubtv.flfnetwork.com/tabs/audio/podcasts/30293/episodes/133 We would welcome donations to help us equip pastors in the Chinese house church network I mentioned in my conversation with Doug. Show recorded on April 27, 2026: Mike unpacked the week's most urgent and controversial headlines, starting with the shocking shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. He then turned to the growing influence of Christian nationalism, arguing it poses a threat to Jewish communities across the United States, and featured a pointed discussion from Piers Morgan Uncensored, featuring Tim Miller, Wajahat Ali and Pastor Doug Wilson. Taken together, these developments underscored a broader concern: instability at home and shifting power dynamics abroad were increasingly intertwined, with direct implications for the security of Israel and the safety of Jewish communities worldwide. The episode also examined Iran's broader strategy in the war. Drawing on insights from Nikita Kapoor of Decode, Mike explored why Iran might have had little incentive to end the conflict, suggesting the war had become a lucrative revenue stream for the IRGC, particularly through heavy taxation of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Finally, Mike questioned the transparency of the White House's messaging on the war. With negotiations involving Iranian representatives reportedly stalled in Pakistan, he highlighted analysis from Breaking Points, where Saagar Enjeti and Krystal Ball argued that Iran might have been in a stronger position than publicly acknowledged, and that the conflict could drag on far longer than expected. Pastor Doug Wilson recently appeared on Piers Morgan, where he clashed with Tim Miller and Wajahat Ali. Wilson joins Mike Slater to continue the conversation on the Politics By Faith podcast.

Steve Schmidt is joined by Wajahat Ali, who ever so calmly exposed Pete Hegseth’s spiritual mentor, Christian nationalist Pastor Doug Wilson, for the charlatan that he is on "Piers Morgan Uncensored." It was a beautiful sight, and left the pastor virtually speechless. They also talk about the epic corruption of Jared Kushner, and the authoritarian ideology of the techno-fascist billionaires who are trying to buy up the 2026 and 2028 elections. The Secretary of Defense suggests the Iran war is blessed by God. The head of his church, Pastor Doug Wilson, agrees. Some call Wilson an extremist. He prefers Christian nationalist. Either way, he's no longer a fringe figure. JD Vance has returned to Islamabad for another attempt at ending the war with Iran, but expectations are low and talks may not even happen. Tensions have escalated after the US seized an Iranian cargo ship, prompting drone attacks on US vessels. This comes just days after President Trump claimed a major deal with Iran was already in place - a claim that now looks increasingly doubtful. At the same time, a war of words between Trump and the Pope has added a new dimension to the crisis. Religious rhetoric from US officials, along with Trump's recent statements and imagery, has drawn criticism at home and abroad - including from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. As political divisions deepen and alliances strain, one thing is clear: there is nothing holy about this conflict. Piers Morgan is joined by Senator and former prime minister of Italy, Matteo Renzi, senior minister and author of ‘No Such Thing As Bad Words', Pastor Doug Wilson, author of The Left Hook on Substack, Wajahat Ali, commentator at The Bulwark, Tim Miller and Professor Mohammad Marandi of Tehran University to discuss. Donald Trump claims we have "total air superiority" over Iran. Pete Hegseth calls our military operations "flawless." But the reality is an F-15 and an A-10 Warthog smoking in the Iranian desert on Friday. How did two of our most advanced jets get swatted out of the sky by a "decimated" enemy? Welcome to The Mop-Up. While Pete Hegseth is busy holding Protestant-only prayer services at the Pentagon and asking for "divine wrath," the actual US military is burning through 25% of our Tomahawk missile stockpile in just five weeks. It takes two years to restock. Do the math. We aren't just losing the hardware; we're losing the moral high ground. US troops are being pulled off airbases and blended into civilian populations — a move that, by any other name, is using human shields. Meanwhile, Trump is proposing a $1.5 trillion military budget to build "Trump Class Battle Ships" while gutting FEMA, education, and disease research. The Pope is calling for a ceasefire. Our allies in Europe and Japan are cutting their own deals with Tehran. We are isolated, overextended, and led by a man who thinks prayer is a substitute for a flight plan. In this episode: • The F-15 and A-10 Takedowns – What really happened in the skies over Iran. • Stockpile Collapse – Why we're running out of Tomahawks faster than we can build them. • Human Shields – The Pentagon's new strategy of embedding troops in civilian centers. • The $1.5T Grift – Who loses their social safety net to pay for "Trump Class Battle Ships." • International Breakaway – Why the world is leaving Washington behind. Key Figures: Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump, Seth Moulton, Pope Leo, Archbishop Timothy Broglio, Marco Rubio, Susan Collins, Pastor Doug Wilson, Paula White-Cain.
Nick and Pastor Doug Wilson discuss empathy and compassion in the context of Christianity and politics and the way empathy is weaponized by the Left to manipulate emotions and gain political power, particularly through immigration and lax voting laws. Christians need to recognize these tactics and take action to uphold their values in a culture that often seeks to undermine them.SPONSOR: MandoStaying fresh can be a challenge. Show recorded on 1/5/26: This week's show opens with a look at NYC Mayor Mamdani's first week in office and actions taken that make it a less safe place for Jews. Mike and Laureen examine the growing push for Christian Nationalism and its implications for Jewish communities, featuring Wall Street Journal reporter Aaron Zitner's interview with Pastor Doug Wilson of Christ Church, a leading advocate for merging church and state. The hosts also unpack why Israel has barred Doctors Without Borders from operating in Gaza, arguing the organization is not what it claims to be, with analysis drawn from a narrative by Quillette's Zoe Booth. Is the West simply in decline, or is God rearranging the landscape for the sake of His church? In this wide-ranging cultural post-mortem, Kevin sits down with Pastor Doug Wilson to trace 300 years of eroding Christian foundations and the inevitable collapse of the building that sat on top of them. They critique mainstream conservatism for clinging to external cultural forms (Christmas trees without Christ) while conceding the core, and they warn against purely ethnic forms of nationalism that can't resurrect a civilization. Instead, they call for a return to God's law as the standard for nations and to robust Christian education as the "Omaha Beach" of the worldview battle.
“Spare the rod, spoil the child”—but what does that actually mean today?Pastor Doug Wilson joins me to cut through the confusion of modern parenting. We discuss what the Bible really says about correction, the meaning of “the rod,” and how discipline—including spanking—can teach obedience and point kids to Christ without fear or shame. In a culture obsessed with therapy and emotional safety, Pastor Doug explains what parents aren't being told about raising faithful, strong kids.Thank you to our sponsors!TAYLOR DUKES WELLNESS — Use code ALEXCLARK for 10% off your purchaseGEVITI — Use code ALEX to get 20% off your first purchaseJASPR — Use code ALEX for $400 offCOWBOY COLOSTRUM — Use code ALEX for 25% offOur Guest:Pastor Doug WilsonPastor Doug's Links:WEBSITEINSTAGRAMXFACEBOOK
Theocracy is an “inescapable concept” for any nation, according to Pastor Doug Wilson of Christ Church, speaking at Turning Point USA's AmFest. Wilson argued that every nation operates under a theocratic framework in the sense that it ultimately serves a sovereign authority or deity. From that premise, he contended that the United States should acknowledge ... The post Are Christian Nationalism and Theocracy Good for America? appeared first on The New American.

This episode dives into the alarming rhetoric of Christian nationalist Pastor Doug Wilson, whose vision for a "Christian nation" would drag us back to the 14th century, stripping women of their rights and redefining democracy to serve male supremacy. We explore how figures like Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth amplify such dangerous ideology, showcasing how easily theology is weaponized into public policy. It's a chilling reminder of how "slow, patient, radical movements" threaten our secular society, twisting language and facts to push a regressive agenda. We unpack the hypocrisy and the urgent need for critical thinking against this creeping theocracy.News Source:The Christian nationalist pastor with ties to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth CNN PoliticsBy Pamela Brown, Shoshana Dubnow for CNNAugust 8, 2025
Moscow-based Pastor Doug Wilson is a polarizing figure known for his extreme views, which he spreads through churches and schools. His influence is spreading to Washington, D.C., where Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth shared a controversial Wilson interview on social media. Extremely American podcast host Heath Druzin joins host Lindsay Van Allen to break down why Wilson has become a central figure in conversations about Christian Nationalism, and what Idahoans need to understand about where this movement is headed. Trey's Table Episode 308: Slavery Wasn't Cool Episode 308: Doug Wilson, Pete Hegseth, and the Intersection of Christian Nationalism & Power What happens when far-right Christian nationalism meets the highest levels of U.S. defense policy? Pastor Doug Wilson joins for the 6th edition of Will & Doug's Book Club, this time with a discussion about the impact of human folly as articulated in Carlo Cipolla's book, "The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity." The book explores the nature of stupidity, its pervasive presence across all demographics, and its implications for institutional building and leadership. Pastor Wilson & I explore how economic policies, such as tariffs, intertwine with the challenges of navigating contemporary societal dynamics, particularly for those engaged in institution-building. Pastor Wilson's perspective offers a valuable framework for understanding the interplay between individual actions and broader institutional health. Key Takeaways: Pastor Doug Wilson emphasizes the significance of recognizing and managing human stupidity within institutions, as it is an inherent challenge that leaders must confront. The conversation delves into the concept that the number of foolish individuals is consistently greater than one might anticipate, regardless of the demographic being examined. Wilson discusses the necessity of institutional immune systems that can withstand heretical teachings and moral decay to ensure the survival and integrity of churches and organizations. The episode highlights the importance of loving one's neighbor and enemy, while also recognizing the need for church discipline to maintain the moral fabric of the institution. A distinction is made between 'apostles' who seek to disrupt and 'refugees' who come seeking help, emphasizing the need for churches to welcome those in need while guarding against harmful influences. The dialogue explores how societal and economic pressures can lead to feelings of disenfranchisement among young men, and how a supportive community can help mitigate these challenges. In the second part of this episode, I interviewed Doug Wilson, a passionate pastor and advocate for educational reform. We talk about Randi Weingarten's emotional reaction to Trump's proposal to abolish the Department of Education. As the president of the American Federation of Teachers, Weingarten has been a major advocate for progressive, "woke" policies in schools, which have contributed to a crisis in student behavior and a decline in educational standards. We explore how the woke left has infused radical ideologies into classrooms, undermining traditional values, and causing confusion among students. We also highlight the rise of parents and patriots fighting back against this agenda. Tune in as Pastor Doug Wilson offers hope and actionable solutions to reclaim education from indoctrination. If you've been following the news over the last year, you've likely heard about the rise of the Christian nationalism movement. Today on The Sunday Story, Ayesha Rascoe sits down with journalist Heath Druzin, creator of the Extremely American podcast series, to take a closer look at one group of Christian nationalists. Druzin interviewed leaders of an influential far-right church in the small town of Moscow, Idaho: Christ Church. There, Pastor Doug Wilson has been building what Druzin and his co-reporter James Dawson call a "Christian industrial complex." And its influence reaches far beyond the boundaries of Moscow, Idaho. You can listen to the latest season of Extremely American here, or download the full series wherever you listen to podcasts.Learn more about sponsor message choices: podcastchoices.com/adchoicesNPR Privacy Policy
Originally aired on March 19, 2018. First, we interviewed Jonathan Bock, President of Grace Hill Media and co-author of The Way Back (number one on Amazon in March). In The Way Back, media and marketing experts Phil Cooke and Jonathan Bock take a hard look at Christians today and reveal that we, as a salesforce, have lost our faith in our product. Where’s the passion, the excitement, and the commitment that two thousand years ago made such improbable and staggering growth possible? We were also joined by Pastor Doug Wilson to discuss why the church should be enraging the culture! You should join Pastor Wilson this April 13th and 14th at the Grace Agenda conference in Moscow, Idaho. It is free, so you have no excuses. In CrossPolitic news, we cover a college student who was kicked out of class for arguing that there are only two genders, and a Rocklin High School teacher who is on paid administrative leave for her views about the national school walk out. Our theme is why logic doesn't work with public education.

Pastor Doug Wilson joins us to break down the Antioch Declaration—a fiery call for the Church to quit playing nice with cultural rot. What does real repentance and reformation look like? How do we fight like Christians in a world gone mad? Tune in for sharp wit, bold truth, and no fluff. Don’t miss it. Share it. Let’s go.
Pastor Doug Wilson proudly calls himself a "Christian nationalist." What does he mean by that? Pastor Wilson talks about the idea of "Christendom," and how America remained an outpost of Christendom until progressive sabotage in the 20th century. He also explains how belief in God is the root of political rights, and secularism is the path directly to the tyrannies of Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot.
