Fans on both sides of the Tasman are raring to go as the All Blacks and Wallabies battle it out for the Bledisloe Cup. They're clashing tonight at Eden Park, where the All Blacks have remained undefeated for over thirty years. Former Wallaby Brendan Cannon just so happened to stop by the Kingslander, hopping on air with Piney to preview the clash. “We've obviously been through a fairly long and protracted period of, of non-success in Australian rugby,” he said. “So we take a little bit of delight in the fact that there's uncomfortability in the Kiwi scene at the moment.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Former Wallaby and Stan Sports commentator Morgan Turinui joined the show to recap the nail-biter between the Wallabies and Lions over the weekend. Turinui told Peter Psaltis on 4BC Wide World of Sports, "There is a really simple law around making contact with the head or neck of a player at a ruck or maul. It was clear that they should have disallowed that try, so the Wallabies should have won that game." "You can be filthy about the decision, but you've got to look in your own backyard and go, you know what, that far up, we should have closed it out". Turinui continued. The coach of Australia's rugby team, the Wallabies, has resigned after a disastrous run at the World Cup in France. Eddie Jones was appointed in January to much fanfare in Australia - only weeks after being sacked as head coach of England. Jones says he's leaving because Rugby Australia could not commit the "financial and political" resources needed to change Australian rugby. But Rugby Australia boss Phil Waugh says Jones' departure is a "sensible outcome". Former Wallaby and sports columnist Peter FitzSimons spoke to Corin Dann.
After weeks of rumours and speculation, Eddie Jones has finally walked away from coaching the Wallabies. Rugby Australia announced his resignation earlier today- less than a month after Jones denied he was on the move. Rugby writer and former Wallaby Peter FitzSimons says he saw 'disaster' coming, but predicted this move happening years from now. "I saw it ending in tears 4 or 5 years from now. Eddie's a human cattle prod. He takes over teams, he completely exhausts people, he wears out assistant coaches, he wears out players."
