For the fourth and final hour of the day on Stokely and Evans with Mark Schlereth, they hold Chris MacFarland accountable for being unable to find a legitimate goaltender for the Avalanche. They discuss the way that the ownership operates the front office after Nashville requested to interview MacFarland. They give the 9am listeners a chance to hear what our 9News Broncos Insider, Mike Klis, had to say about the price the Broncos paid for Jaylen Waddle compared to AJ Brown, Bo’soffseason timeline, and why a reunion with Von Miller is doubtful. Mike asks Stink to divvy up the RB carry pie chart. Mike and Stink cap off today’s show with the best audio of the morning.  

In hour two, Dover and Cecil are joined by our 9News insider, Mike Klis. What did he make of the schedule release? What do the first six weeks look like for the Broncos? Davis Webb is taking control of the playcalling. What does that leash look like throughout the season? Is Sean Payton still keeping his hands on the wheel from the passenger seat? We react to the audio from coach Bednar from last night. What did he make of his top line? How can the team make it through games without Cale Makar? Where does Bednar think the Avs need to improve the most going into game two? What did Nate have to say after the loss, and what version of Nate will we get tomorrow? We check our X to close the hour!  

In the first hour of Stokely and Evans with Mark Schlereth, the Avalanche won game four against the Minesota wild last night despite how nervous Stoke was and now he owes Mike breakfast.  Sean Payton had some words of praise for second year tight end Caleb Lohner and we hear some comments from him about his coach having faith in him.  And we close out the hour by picking the brain of 9News Broncos insider Mike Klis about the Broncos opening game and Bo Nix’s ankle. 

It's unclear if the Australian Government's latest tax breaks for workers will make much of a difference. The Labor Government's raising taxes on investment properties and some trust funds to pay for a $250 tax break. It will apply to 13 million Australians and come into effect in 2028. 9News Chief Political Editor Charles Croucher told Mike Hosking it's on top of similar tax breaks coming this year and next year.
