My today's guest is Sam Bennett. In our conversation, we are going to discuss why at least 90% of work meetings are a complete waste of time and energy. You might think, I also attend some meetings that are not beneficial and without any outcome, or the outcome is just another meeting. Now, if you wonder how that plays into your productivity, we will also see some fundamental misconceptions when we think and talk, probably too much about the term productivity. Sam is a great person to talk to about those topics as she has written two bestselling books on how to get things done and how little but constant changes can have a huge impact on your life.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

In today’s episode, we have the extraordinary Sam Bennett joining me. She is an actor, speaker, teacher, poet, a creativity and productivity specialist and also the best selling author of Get It Done and Start Right Where You Are. This woman is going to blow your mind! We talk a lot about her acting years, her very well known actor friends, how she has spent a lot of time doing incredible TV and at the same time experiencing fear and struggled to truly be in the spotlight. We talk a lot about being afraid of success and of truly being seen. We had a lot of fun in this conversation. We talk about life, death, creativity, procrastination, depression and everything in between. Sam is very open and honest about her personal experience of depression, how it shows up in her life and how she moves through life in spite of it. This conversation is for anyone who wants to create something new, who wants to find their way to a brand new part of their identity and to also remember their core self - the self that has been with them forever. If you are going through a transition of any kind and you are about to jump into a brand new chapter, if you want to create something for the world and yourself, then I hope you will take the time to listen. It might just be life-changing. “Showing up more fully for yourself allows you to show up more fully for your family, for your friends, and for the world.” ~Sam Bennett Sam talks about that voice inside of us, that might just be a quiet whisper right now. The voice that says you can do this too. My request of you is to please make sure that voice is being heard and taken seriously. However quiet it is, it is Divine. It is God or the universe talking to you and it’s your destiny. Be sure to comment below or connect with me on Instagram and let me know what you think of this conversation. When You “Tripped Up” in Partnership Samantha has the habit of being loyal to the point of self neglect. There’s been many relationships, with both people and organizations, that she’s let go on for way too long. She would be very unhappy but allow it to go on for far too long before she would leave. Find out what happened next by listening to the podcast. Proudest Moment In Partnership About 10 years ago she was talking to her great friend, Phil. He had a wonderful idea for a show. He was wondering if she would write the script for it. She said yes right away. It ended up being a great show. Then they had about 8 years of “development hell”. You are always getting paid. And you are always getting paid in the currency you are asking for. So maybe the currency you're asking for is “likes” on Facebook. Or maybe the currency you're asking for a is a lot of compliments from your friends. Or maybe the currency you're asking for is neglect. For a long time myself esteem was so slow that it really mattered to me that Iw work hard and kind of have nobody notice. That kind of worked for me in a weird way. When I started the organized artists company, I had this wonderful list of people who were really responsive and they'd write back and they would click and like, but they never bought anything. And finally I realized that the problem was me because I was more invested in their affection than I was in making a living. And the minute I decided “I think it's possible for me to have their affection and make a living”, I tripled my income. – Samantha Bennett Samantha Bennett is a writer, speaker, actor, teacher and creativity/productivity specialist and author of the bestselling: Get It Done: From Procrastination to Creative Genius in 15 Minutes a Day. This week on Relationships 2.0 my guest is Sam Bennett author of Start Right Where You Are: How Little Changes Can Make a Big Difference for Overwhelmed Procrastinators, Frustrated Overachievers, and Recovering Perfectionists About the book: What Are You Waiting For? An overwhelmed procrastinator, frustrated overachiever, and recovering perfectionist herself, Sam Bennett knows all the ways we avoid pursuing our dreams and reaching our goals.
