Australia's (and the world's!) airline industries have frequently sought & received exemptions from the Disability Discrimination Act, often under the broad veil of 'air safety'. Once again, people with disabilities are the exception to the rule and their are negative consequences as a result. Freedom of travel is a human right. Chronically Chilled catches up with human rights advocate and former Disability Discrimination Commissioner of 9 years, Graeme Innes to discuss his experiences with the industry, current advocacy efforts, and what the public can do to support. This after one of our co-hosts, Akii Ngo, experienced an extremely traumatic event days after Grame's airport discrimination, coincidentally at the same airport.
