The shot heard around the world. A highly demanded recap of the final half of Taylor Swift's most disastrous year. We begin our story in the Getaway Car, and quickly head off to the UK where the Cobra engages in some truly deranged behavior, before a whirlwind summer of romance, drama, and truly great outfits. Hiddleswift is at its peak when the walls come crashing down: Kim Kardashian's illegal, doctored recording of Taylor Swift's conversation with Kanye West, leads to the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty and #SnakeGate. The aftershock of a public flogging reverberate throughout the year, as the Cobra wavers in her commitment to remaining unbothered. Throughout, The Snakes take a critical view of the cancelation, while painting the picture of what it was like to live through it as a fan in real-time.
One word: Hiddleswift. That's the catchy ship name for this short-lived pairing. When the world was falling apart around Taylor, she "clung to the nearest lips" when she dated Tom Hiddleston. The duo experienced a whirlwind summer together in 2016 between her relationships with Calvin Harris and Joe Alwyn. So...what happened? If she wanted Joe, why was she with Tom? Why did they split? Did they even like one another that much? Let's break it all down as we continue the highly popular 'Muses' series. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/taylearning-podcast/support

In this special episode, Kressie and friend of the pod, MK discuss the beautiful messiness that is the very short-lived Bleachella era--what happened before, during, and after. The two discuss the Vogue interview, Bleachella's inception, her breakup with Calvin Harris, the 2016 Met Gala, Tom Hiddleston (and the whirlwind that was Hiddleswift), how Joe Alwyn fits into all of this, and of course, Getaway Car. MK also explains why Camila Cabello called her Curly Sue. Have any thoughts about this episode? Join the Good for a Weekend discussion! Brianne and Adam regale us with their story of a Scottsdale area escape room. Did they manage to get out? Or did we record the whole episode INSIDE THE ESCAPE ROOM?? And of course, ear sex jokes (but not the obvious ones!).
2016 is a year that's so nice we had to review it twice! And by nice, of course we mean so full of fuckery, we found it impossible to fit a full year end review into one episode. So in week one, we do a thorough cork popping, each cover our top five wig scratching moments of 2016. Don't worry though, we had your feelings in mind, and keep it light by cutting election talk to a minimum. We got you, boo. Keep your wigses and wices nearby because next week, we'll be telling you all about our top moments that had us flipping our wigs in 2016.
