On this week's episode of ‘The Kylee Cast,' Federalist Managing Editor Kylee Griswold and Staff Writer Brianna Lyman break down Virginia Democrat attorney general candidate Jay Jones' murderous fantasies. Plus, a Biden-appointed judge gives a slap on the wrist to the would-be Supreme Court assassin — all because he suddenly decided he was trans. And Kylee gives her hot takes on Taylor Swift's new album. If you care about combating the corrupt media that continue to inflict devastating damage, please give a gift to help The Federalist do the real journalism America needs.
Seth takes a closer look at how the government shutdown is causing chaos at airports due to staffing shortages, and at Bernie Sanders' reaction to Trump's attacks. Then, Taylor Swift talks about her album The Life of a Showgirl, how her dancers learned the choreography for the "The Fate of Ophelia" music video without listening to the song and her uncontrollable obsession with baking bread. Plus, Taylor talks about her engagement to Travis Kelce and getting FOMO from the Eras Tour VIP tent before telling a story about the time Travis confused Hugh Grant's wife Anna for his favorite director, Greta Gerwig, and she talks about the time Zoë Kravitz's snake got loose in her house, reminisces on her 2009 Twilight-inspired SNL sketch and discusses her love of numerology.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Pop 3:Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl has officially dropped, and the reviews are mixed! Even some Swifties are split. Though Taylor herself says she's not bothered, telling Zane Lowe she “welcomes the chaos” and knows exactly what she created. Over on Dancing With the Stars, Hilaria Baldwin was eliminated despite being one of the best dancers of the season. Her 2020 “accent-gate” scandal didn't exactly help with public votes. And finally, Diddy was sentenced to just over four years in federal prison after being found guilty of transporting individuals for prostitution; the judge called his actions “a pattern of manipulation,” and while prosecutors wanted 11 years, he could serve closer to three with time off for good behavior. Deep Dive: Love Is Blind: Denver is chaotic, and not in a cute way. Two people (Anna and Blake) literally ghosted the pods, and the rest are giving major ick energy. Toxic arguments, the messy (drunken) Baja trip, emotional immaturity, and way too many red flags. Between Madison & Joe's poolside meltdown, Edmond's boundary-breaking blow-up, and Kacie & Patrick's confusing kiss-and-quit breakup, it's hard to find one solid couple this season. Final Thoughts: Dolly Parton's sister, Freida, sparked concern after asking fans to pray for Dolly, only to later clarify that it wasn't so serious. Freida apologized for worrying fans and thanked everyone for their prayers. *Shop MPT Merch* ► https://shop.hurrdatmedia.com/collections/morgans-pop-talks *Listen to the podcast* ► https://hurrdatmedia.com/network/show/morgans-pop-talks/ *Join my Patreon* for exclusive minisodes each week! ► http://www.patreon.com/morganspoptalks for exclusive minisodes each week! *Subscribe to my weekly newsletter* for reminders, important links, and additional surprises! ► https://www.morganptalks.com/ *About Morgan's Pop Talks* Welcome to Morgan's Pop Talks – your weekly VIP pass into the world of reality TV and pop culture! Send us a textWe start the show by breaking down Taylor Swift's box office takeover. Her new concert film pulled in over $33 million this weekend—crushing The Rock's Smashing Machine and proving, once again, that Swifties might just be single-handedly keeping theaters alive. But is this really the path to saving cinema, or is it a one-off Taylor phenomenon? This leads us into a larger discussion on whether event-style experiences—like Barbenheimer—are the only way to get people off the couch and back into theaters. We pivot to Saturday Night Live's season premiere and its five new cast members. Has Lorne Michaels officially hit the creative wall after 50 years? This leads us into a debate on whether SNL's problem is the cast, the writing, or simply a show refusing to admit it's run out of things to say.Angelo then gives his take on 'One Battle After Another'. Does he agree that it is as much of a cinematic masterpiece as Jay thinks it is?THEN: BRITISH CORNER: Rhea reviews season four Apple TV's Slow Horses. Why does Rhea think the show is so "smooth" How does the pacing of the show contribute to her review?Angelo follows up with his review of Netflix's Black Rabbit, starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law. Then, in response to Jay's movie recommendation last week, Angelo recommends a old time movie to remember what real storytelling looks like. What makes that older film feel more human, more emotional, and—frankly—more watchable than a $150 million modern epic like ' One Battle After Another'.We wrap up with one big question: Is Jay a cinematic visionary… or just a man who spent $15 to watch elephant poop on the big screen? Either way, tune in next week to find out who's right—and whether SNL finally finds a punchline.LISTEN NOW to stay up to date on all you need to know regarding the latest and greatest in television and the big screens.MAKE SURE TO VISIT OUR SPONSOR: Steven Singer Jewelers! The TV Show is a weekly podcast hosted by Jay Black, with regular guests Angelo Cataldi and Rhea Hughes. Dive into this fiery rant where I unload on the NFL's obsession with chasing new fans at the expense of die-hards. From Bad Bunny's halftime pick to appeal to young and Hispanic demographics, to the Swifties pretending to love football, it's all about profit over passion. My guest in this week's Book Club podcast is Ben Schott. The author of the world- (or downstairs-loo-) conquering Schott's Original Miscellany returns with Schott's Significa, a deeply reported and constantly surprising book in which he uses the private languages of various communities – from gondoliers to graffiti writers and from Swifties to sommeliers – as a way of understanding their worlds. Ben tells me about how the project came together, how he was inspired by the folklorists Iona and Peter Opie pinning the butterfly of playground games – and why doing the shoe-leather reporting yields results that you could never get from Google or ChatGPT. In this episode, I delve into the intriguing world surrounding Taylor Swift's latest album, "Life of a Showgirl," and how it intersects with the lives of her fans, particularly those navigating their own journeys of engagement and marriage.Having recently immersed myself in the swirling discussions on platforms like TikTok, I find it fascinating to analyze the polarized opinions on Swift's new release. While I may not identify as a lifelong diehard fan, I've developed a profound appreciation for her artistry and influence as a voice of our generation, making the discourse around her music even more engaging for me.I encourage listeners, especially my fellow Swifties, to reflect on how they're personally internalizing this discussion and what it signifies for their own identities as they enter new phases of life. My ultimate message is to approach this moment with curiosity rather than judgment, enabling one to better process the myriad of opinions while remaining grounded in one's truth. Just as Taylor Swift tasks herself with the challenge of releasing something intensely personal, brides must also prepare to present their vision of love and celebration to the world, bracing for a spectrum of reactions. What you'll learn from this episode:Taylor Swift's impact on identityThe complexity of public perceptionUnderstanding perspectives and lensesFeatured on the show:Follow me on Instagram to learn more about navigating your wedding with grace and ease: https://www.instagram.com/karaghassabeh/Check out **The Bridal Prep Academy:** https://karamaureen.comLet's connect on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KaraMaureenBridalCoachingGet your copy of the book, **Whispers to a Bride:**https://www.amazon.com/Whispers-Bride-handle-stress-drama/dp/B0BCRXBQFN/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1UXWJVJOF3MNI&keywords=whispers+to+a+bride&qid=1662643892&sprefix=whispers+to+a+bride%2Caps%2C141&sr=8-1

(but thanks for that quote anyway). Hosted by Klein, Ally, and a cast of weirdos (both on the team and from their audience), the show is known for its raw, offbeat style, offering a mix of sarcastic banter, candid interviews, and an unfiltered take on everything from culture to the chaos of everyday life. Zibby chats with award-winning Brazilian illustrator Gus Morais about TAYLOR SWIFT: Unofficial Search and Find Biographies, a visual exploration of the star's groundbreaking music career, celebrating every album era and iconic outfit. Gus shares how he went from knowing little about Taylor Swift to immersing himself in her music, lyrics, and imagery to create a vibrant, detail-packed book that's like Where's Waldo for Swifties. He talks about the extensive research process, the hidden Easter eggs woven into each illustration, and why even non-Swifties can enjoy the book.Purchase on Bookshop: https://bit.ly/4nWLkjtShare, rate, & review the podcast, and follow Zibby on Instagram @zibbyowens!JOIN ME! Episode 208 of the What Are We Doing podcast is pure chaos in the best way. I kicked things off, reminding everyone that yes, it's October. I said it about 47 times because apparently, I can't believe calendars exist. Then I dove right into the big releases of the week: Soulja Boy dropping his third album of 2025, Swag 7, and Taylor Swift's new album The Life of a Showgirl. I gave both their flowers, but let's be real, Taylor hijacked the whole cultural moment. From her track Wood (we all know who that's about) to the Jonas Brothers and Jackson 5 “inspirations,” Swifties are eating while Soulja Boy's somewhere trying to sell us crank dat NFTs.Then we hit the halftime show drama. Everyone thought Taylor was locked for the Super Bowl. She teased it, the NFL hinted at it, and we all gaslit ourselves into believing she was confirmed. Turns out, it's Bad Bunny. And I'm here for it. The boomers are going to lose their minds when they realize the biggest artist in the world only sings in Spanish. This is the Super Bowl, not a Lynyrd Skynyrd reunion. Sit down, dad. After that, I took aim at Tai Lopez. Remember the guy in his garage with the Lamborghini and the books? Yeah, he's being dragged by the SEC for running a $112 million Ponzi scheme. Turns out “Here in my garage” was code for “Here in my court hearing.” If you invested in RadioShack crypto, that's on you, babes. We also talked about my son's new obsession with AI-generated YouTube slop. He's six years old, and instead of watching Paw Patrol, he's glued to a video about a capybara setting off a fire alarm and then saving the company. Parents, stop gatekeeping iPads. Give your kids the tech. They're already building Google Doc chatrooms in school. You can't fight it.Then we checked in on Lil Wayne, who may or may not be releasing another rock album if this unreleased track is any indication. Spoiler: it's bad. Maybe it's time Weezy hangs up the guitar. Or maybe Los from 280 Plus can convince me otherwise. And finally, the cherry on top: I got the best YouTube comment of the year. Shout out to Joshua Bradshaw for telling me to nap in traffic. Your hate fuels this machine, my friend. This episode is stacked with Swifties, Soulja Boy, scammers, Super Bowl conspiracies, Bad Bunny truth bombs, AI capybaras, and Lil Wayne midlife crises. You already know what to do. Hit like, hit subscribe, leave a comment, then go get your kid an iPad before they fall behind on learning what sigma means.
Taylor Swift's new album dropped. It's called “The Life of a Showgirl.” Andy plays a little bit of it on air. Baller Hardware store in Silverlake, which has been around since 1959, has become super cool, with the store selling merch to hipsters. People are driving dangerously slow in Ohio. And California HOAs are finally facing fine restrictions. Taylor Swift has just posted on social media about her new album; Andy reads it out on air. Rolling Stone has already reviewed the album and gave it five stars. In Brentwood, the beloved faux fiberglass dinosaur at the gas station has been stolen, and locals are upset. Breaking news, a large fire has broken out at the Chevron Refinery in El Segundo.
We break down a pop culture double-feature news day with Diddy's sentencing and Taylor's new album! YouTube TV subscribers will now have access to all the NBC Universal content they could hope for. The blinds are full of hot gossip about Lori Loughlin and Massimo Giannulli's divorce. Never a dull moment with the More or Less squad: Jessica questions whether Sora is just a novelty or the start of an AI-native social economy, arguing OpenAI needs its own device to escape current platform limits. Brit calls it “Vine meets MySpace,” highlighting its cameo mechanic as a creator tool that could outpace Meta's AI video. Dave says Sora only needs to be entertaining and pitches OpenAI's real graph play: embedding ChatGPT in group chats. Sam compares Sora to Truth Social, not Instagram, arguing power and narrative—not unit economics—drive the AI capex boom. The squad also touches on the “dead internet theory,” the importance of context over data, and the limits of LLM understanding, with side notes on Swifties and always-on AI wearables.Chapters:04:59 What is Sora? Swifties react to Taylor's new album, a carer shares his struggles, and we mark 60 years of Irish-shot film “The Blue Max.”
Run down and killed. Two teen girls were riding on an e-bike when cops say a 17-year-old in a jeep mowed them down. And now we're learning... One of the girls had complained repeatedly that the driver was stalking her. And it's Kai Trump versus the Swifties. The president's granddaughter feeling the backlash after unveiling her new logo. The issue -- Taylor's fans say it's a rip-off of Swift's fiancé... Travis Kelce's ‘Tru Kolors' brand. Plus, two Delta jets colliding on the tarmac at New York's LaGuardia airport. There were 93 people on those two planes. One flight attendant was injured in the crash. And he didn't suffer. That is what Malcolm Jamal Warner's mother is clinging to today after unexpectedly losing her son. Warner... Famous for his role as Theo on ‘The Cosby Show'... Was on a family vacation in Costa Rica when he drowned in the ocean. His mother now opening up about the moment she learned he'd died. Taylor Swift mania sweeps America. There's a lot of big news happening today but Swifties have only one thing on their minds. The release of ‘The Life Of A Showgirl'! Today fans are dressing up in glittery outfits and feather boas as they pick apart all 12 new songs looking for clues. And Diddy sentencing day. Family of embattled music mogul Sean Diddy Combs head into court to find out exactly how long he'll be behind bars. At one-point Combs got emotional as a video, produced by his defense team, was played showing him as a devoted family man. Plus, chaos and confusion! When an oil refinery went up in flames in Southern California... People started running for their lives - falsely thinking it was either a terror attack or a natural disaster. Witnesses say it felt like an earthquake. And the ring is off. That's Keith Urban returning to the stage for the first time since Nicole Kidman filed for divorce. And while his ring finger was bare... He did pay tribute to his ex.
