After a decade apart, Maggie's offhand explanation for her visit is that she just wanted to check in on him, but this doesn't ring true considering how difficult he was to find. The two awkwardly want to get to know one another (Dad seems more comfortable talking through his dog Migo, or through Bobby, Maggie's childhood sock puppet friend), but are at the same time scared about what increasing familiarity will bring. After Dad reluctantly brings her on one of his nighttime outings, Maggie realizes that his obsession with UFOs and communicating with extraterrestrial beings has only intensified over the years. She struggles to understand him, his single-mindedness and deteriorating mental health, all the while with her own life-changing news to share. Letting their relationship ebb and flow through anger, silly jokes, tender gestures, and sadness, director Alex Lehmann leads the film in a beautiful meditation on the cyclical nature of parenthood and the longing for connection.

His performance on an Robert Townsend HBO Special of up and coming comedians years ago caught the attention a few Hollywood players that led to the creation of many recurring and guest starring roles for him on "A Different World", "The Cosby Show" and others. Around this time, Don received some invaluable advice that spurred him to dive into the NACA college circuit, performing standup at over 300 colleges.During the same window, Don began doing audience warm-up for several sitcoms, which led to writing and creative consulting on several of those shows. Reed spent the next several years behind the camera successfully writing, producing and doing voice-over work (credits include "Spiderman", "The Flintstones", "Johnny Quest" etc.) He wrote and directed several short films for HBO, once casting himself, inadvertently sparking the revival of his on camera and performing career. Comedian Erik Rivera isn’t on “the drugs” - despite what his mom thought. He just liked hitting the comedy clubs as a kid, and giving people - no matter where they’re from - something to relate to. We got into a pretty serious (but often funny) chat about being brown in a white world, and being American - while still in the mix of different cultures and countries (his mom’s from Guatemala, his dad from Puerto Rico, and married white). Erik’s making his mark, making us laugh, and making us think. His HBO stand-up special “Super White!” covers the hilarious truths of parenting and being married in a mixed relationship. Erik’s comedic take on his unique experience has been featured on HBO’s “Entre Nos,” NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, the Tonight Show, and the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival. AND he’s even teamed up with Eva Longoria and Kevin Hart to create meaningful (and hilarious) projects to drive representation forward. AND Erik’s created and written an upcoming animated show for Amazon - “Ricky & Cricket”. AND then there was that one time he was on CBS “Superior Donuts” - in the most talked about episode tackling immigration in the US. Francisco Ramos is an LA-based, nationally known, Venezuelan-born comic. We had a lot of fun comparing notes on the power of accents, relationships out of our race, and life in the suburbs (he moved to Maryland when was was 12). You’ve seen Francisco on the "Gentefied" (Netflix) and Shameless (Showtime), as well as on Last Comic Standing (top 10 finalist), Comedy Central (@midnight), Jimmy Kimmel Live. You’ve even HEARD Francisco in the animated film “Rio” (he was Marmoset), and Cartoon Network’s "Victor and Valentino." His HBO standup special “Entre Nos” is a must-watch, as are his numerous sketches in Lorne Michael’s “Mas Mejor.” But it’s not all jokes with Francisco - even though he doesn’t take himself too seriously...
