"I have always prided myself on my ability to push through suffering with sports to accomplish something great. And that is what I feel Mi Duole is all about. Instead of turning from or avoiding hard things, we seek after it for the joy that comes from overcoming a hard task." Meet Mi Duole team member, Josh Bradley. Dude knows how to crush you on climbs and has all the numbers dialed in before the ride even begins. Grateful for Josh and all he does to build the team. From Josh: "I've always enjoyed bikes from an early age. Both my parents raced road bikes for a time and instilled in me a love for bikes. Also, the freedom of it. And the fact that it is so much faster than running. I am also really drawn to it from an engineering stand point. I do a lot with radar data analysis for my work, and that leads naturally into me being very analytical with my cycling data, and the idea of optimizing performance through technological and physiological means. I find it all to be very fascinating. Link to Josh's music video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sG_reUkJtrA76mj_csZiot31G6uKY6da/view

On episode #10 of the Dads & Angels Podcast I chat with Josh Bradley about the birth and loss of his daughter Jailee. Josh is an paramedic from Michigan who offers a very unique perspective on the loss of a child. One message from this entire conversation that kept repeating itself was Josh's constant concern for the well-being of his family above any concern for his own recovery.
Commentary: Trek Stars: The Work of Star Trek Creators Outside of Star Trek
Braga Part 1: Trek. Brannon Braga has written more hours of Star Trek than anyone else in history. But despite being responsible for some of the best work the franchise has to offer, many fans tend to focus on his lesser works. This week, Max and Mike begin a new series which looks at the work of Braga as a television creator. In Part 1, we’re joined by Josh Bradley of the Soulless Minions of Orthodoxy to talk about Braga’s work in Star Trek. We cover the Next Generation finale, “All Good Things…”, his two movies, Generations and First Contact, his work as showrunner on Seasons Five and Six of Voyager, and his creation of the last Star Trek series, Enterprise. We also try to figure out why people hate “Threshold” so much.
They often suck, on rare occasions they are the best, but usually the best you can hope for is its not as bad as the last one. We aren't talking about our episodes, we are talking about the BEST 3RD MOVIE. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Michael Felsher, Josh Bradley, Rudy Schuepbach and Pete Trudgeon for an episode with that heaps far too much praise on Teen Witch, which is not even a third movie. Brackets are here: PDF and Excel format.
The most hated Batman movie of all gets the Soulless Minions of Orthodoxy commentary treatment, and Geek Fights joins in the fun. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Josh Bradley, Tysto and Mike Schindler as they talk over the movie. Listen in, but beware, it's the chilling sound of your doom. Check out the Soulless Minions here:
Subject: Drive Me Crazy (1999) Observers: John Pavlich, Josh Bradley, Joe "J.D." Donesi Record Date: February 23, 2012, 09:03 PM Plot Summary: A trend-conscious girl hires her anti-social next-door neighbor to be her new boyfriend, in an effort to reclaim her status in their school and to help him win back his ex-girlfriend. Note: This was recorded months ago and numerous technical difficulties made it such a nightmare to edit, I wasn't going to bother posting it, originally. Thankfully, Josh had done such a splendid job mixing it himself, I finally decided to put it up here for you all to enjoy. My co-hosts (Josh and J.D.) join me in discussing high school politics, teen social class structures and how the film compares to the book it's based on. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the movie on your DVD.
It's another bonus episode, and once again it's a Geek Fights/Souless Minions of Orthodoxy commentary, and once again it's a Star Trek movie. This time it's Star Trek 2, but with a twist! This is a nitpicker commentary, where we take one of the most revered, most acclaimed, most important movies in all geekdom, and we rip it apart (lovingly). Listen to Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz and Josh Bradley as they point every inconsistency, contrivance, plot hole and just plain strange idea. But we really do love this movie. Really. It's great stuff, despite what we say about it.
It's a special bonus podcast. Geek Fights was recently on the Soulless Minions of Orthodoxy podcast to join them on a commentary for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. Join Damon Shaw, Michael Ortiz, Josh Bradley, Justin Bradley, Michael Felsher and Allen as they talk while watching the movie. If it was happening in your living room it would be annoying. On the internet it's fun. Check out the Soulless Minions of Orthodoxy here.
They said it couldn't be done. WE said it couldn't be done. It probably shouldn't have been done, but we did it anyway. It's time for our giant-size 100th episode extravaganza! This time up it's another excursion into self indulgence that is BEST OF GEEK FIGHTS! Damon Shaw and Mike Ortiz are here as always, but to do this epic battle they have assembled an army of Geek Fighters! First up, Rob Alden, Janet Nowell, Chuck Farrell, Aj Sinke, Michael Felsher, Karin, Jerad Formby, Allen, Chris Mitchell, Brian Townsend, Jason Grade, Anthony Valenta, Josh VanValkenberg, Jason Thompson, Mike Patanjo, Kirky Wade, Mike Diskin, Greg Blanchard, Tim Nowell, Teras Cassidy, Christy Wooke, Greg Trahan, Barry Ingram, Amin Amat, Maria Cuba, Jerod Batte, Paul Kowalski, Jill Valuet, Gary Tognetti, Melvin Ladera, Kathy Lehman, Joe Cain, Tess Craft, Dominic Williams, Leo Perez, Josh Bradley, Chris Wood, Charity Wood, Crazy Joe and John Champion start us off with 64 of the winners of previous shows, then Damon and Mike are joined by the panel from the very first episode, Pete Lucas, Dave Gill and Juan Patino to finish it up and bring you the top of the top. Who will take it all? Who cares! We all just want to hear crazy logic, childhood ramblings, ferocious spite, angry rants and inappropriate comments. And we get them, just like we have 99 times before! Thank you all for letting us do this! Here are the brackets: PDF and Excel format.
We turn our geeky gaze to one of the masters of making geeky goodness. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Michael Felsher, Josh Bradley and Pete Lucas as they discuss the BEST SPIELBERG MOVIE. It's Nazis, annoying children, future worlds, ancient relics, an airport, a shark (not Mike) and a ton of different aliens in a career spanning tribute on one of the greatest film makers of all time. And it wouldn't be a geek fight without brackets: PDF and Excel format. Or would it? Seriously does anybody even download these? Anyone? If not let me know. I'm lazy and it's one less things to do for these posts.
Subject: Gattaca (1997) Observers: John Pavlich, Josh Bradley, Tysto Record Date: December 02, 2011, 11:41 PM Plot Summary: A genetically inferior man assumes the identity of a superior one in order to pursue his lifelong dream of space travel. Note: In addition to this being one of the last of the banked episodes, it's also the penultimate recording from 2011. Josh, Tysto and I take an in depth look at this unique and throught-provoking science fiction-noir film. We discuss and reconfigure the story structure and plot points, examine the themes and ideas within and reflect on the critical and audience reaction, as well as the film's success and relevance to today. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the film on your DVD.
Subject: Bring It On (2000) Observers: John Pavlich, Josh Bradley, Mike Schindler Record Date: November 13, 2011, 01:54 AM Plot Summary: An ambitious, high school Cheerleader (Kirsten Dunst) becomes the new captain of her squad, but is shocked to discover the previous captain has been stealing their award-winning moves and routines from an under-privileged, rival school. Note: Another fun, commentary crossover, co-hosts from Soulless Minions and Commentary Track Stars join me for one of the more surprising comedies from 2000. We discuss the ensemble cast, relive our past, high school experiences, the importance of romantic chemistry and try to understand why this gem has yet to be released on Blu-ray. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the movie on your DVD.
Subject: Galaxy Quest (1999) Observers: John Pavlich, Josh Bradley, Tysto Record Date: November 05, 2011, 09:24 PM Plot Summary: The cast of a cult, space TV show have to play their roles as the real thing when an alien race needs their help. Note: It's a trifecta of geeky, commentary lunacy when Tysto, Sofa Dogs and one half of the Soulless Minions join forces to discuss the delightful gem from 1999 known as Galaxy Quest! We discuss science fiction film and television, Star Wars versus Star Trek, nerd loyalties and the ageless wonder herself, Sigourney Weaver. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the movie on your DVD.
There are three of them. It's one of the most powerful of geek logics, and the most powerful ways to tell a story. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, AJ Sinke, Jerod Batte, Josh Bradley and Justin Bradley as they tackle the trios in BEST TRILOGY. Can the Lord of the Rings, throw Lethal Weapon into Mt Doom? Does the Toy Story Trilogy have a friend in our panel? Will The Matrix Trilogy shove a red pill down the Bourne Trilogy's throat? And of course we have Star wars Trilogy vs Star Trek Trilogy (yes Star Trek has a trilogy, listen and you'll understand). Here are the brackets PDF and
