A line from Judy's song “After the Holidays” (words and music by the late John Meyer) provides the inspiration for the episode title: “I know it’s hard, but try.” Countermelody is the podcast devoted to the glory and the power of the human voice raised in song. I dagens avsnitt pratar jag och Jossan om de små och stora "renoveringar" vi gör på oss själva: från ögonfransserum och fransförlängningar till min kommande eyeliner-tatuering. Jag berättar om hur skönt det är att slippa sminka sig på morgonen och om hur jag numera planerar mina skönhetsprojekt som ett helt litet schema fram till nyår. Vi går också igenom helgens tjejkväll som började med drinkar på Kung Carl och fortsatte till favoritstället Italiano, där både servicen och servitörerna var av av hög kvalitet. Dessutom delar jag den stora chocken: Roxette är tillbaka, med Lena Ph! Jag beskriver hur makalöst bra hon var på scen och hur hela konserten blev rena uppenbarelsen (trots vår totala orutin kring konsertstarttider). Vi pratar vidare om fine dining – Aira, Geranium, Frantzén – och om mina "allergier" mot inälvsmat och wagyu. Jag ger också ett litet hotell- och gymtips, hyllar serien Homeland, och skrattar åt gamla minnen från ostkakeperioden när jag åt upp 1 200 kalorier utan att blinka. Avslutningsvis diskuterar vi julbord: hur man egentligen ska äta det enligt Axklo, hur jag försökte följa reglerna men föll pladask på sillen, och hur min Jossan i praktiken mest lever på potatis och inkokt lax.
