Thanks and love the showMore details: I'm not a felon, I was wanting to have weapons that don't require gunpowder to use to provide for the family in the event of a shtf. Small game would be squirrels and chipmunks, big game would be big mule deer in NH Question from Joe J from South Dakota Dear wls, I am a little bit behind, but I just listened to episode double tap 445. You all are talking about flannel camarado and Jeremy says he could shear sheep and make his own cloth. As someone with family in the shearing industry, shearing is a lot of work. Joe J Question from Bill from Texas Bill Texas.Question for Jeremy. In an Ar -15 platform. Hunting deer and hogs mainly. What caliber would you recommend? 300 BLK or is there something better? I figure the longest shot would be no longer than 350 yds. Ps. I am a pretty pretty princess. Clip that. LOL Question from Agent Dusky from Florida Hello WLS. We meat again. I was testing some Copper Monolithic ammunition through a new firearm the other day when I glanced at one of the steel targets and had me a few thoughts. Do you think that it would be deemed safer or possibly more hazardous to shoot steel plates with copper rounds opposed to using standard lead ammunition? My first thoughts were that copper being harder could cause larger particles created that may have more energy. Though, being less dense, it would likely lose that energy faster. Do you think the safe shooting distance away from steel with handguns shooting copper mono is any more or less distance than when using lead? Also, when it comes to centerfire rifle rounds – do you think the same concept would apply?(probably right…?) Also would copper mono rounds from a rifle be more likely to damage steel plates than with lead, given the same or similar velocity and attributes? Thank you for your time. As you were. – Agent Dusky of the Mosquito County Militia. Hashtaggery 171 22lr SSB – Question from Liam from VT Dear WLS, my question is I want to get a revolver for CCW. Colt, Smith, Ruger? For caliber I was thinking 357/38 in a 2” barrel, your thoughts? I want it to be easy to conceal. I have striker fired and really want a revolver so no strikers please. Thanks ya goons. Use code AGENCY171 DEAR WLS Question from JackB from TX On double tap 451 Nick said he would know he was successful when he ordered a custom double rifle. I always say something similar, which is if I win the lottery I'm telling no one, but there would be signs. Like the sudden acquisition of a custom double rifle. My first question is, if the cast were going to order custom double rifles, what caliber would you choose? If Shawn wants to make H&H invent a 171 WLS for him, that's dope, but what would your second choice be? Followup question to help me choose my caliber. If I got one, I'd want one of the classic elephant gun Calibers. I love 45-70 but it just wouldn seem right. So of those old safari calibers which ones have milder recoil and are still somewhat commercially available? -JackB Question from Jaqin Ta'Sox from Connecticut From: Jaqin Ta'Sox: Dear WLS In double tap 451 at 19:58 minutes, someone asks about deadly force against a bull horn to the ear. I understand an ass whoopin is absolutely due in that situation, BUT I find it kind of interesting. Like Jerambey said, it is permanent bodily harm. Just like if someone tries to use a laser pointer to blind you, deadly force is a go, but not for permanent hearing loss? Question from Anonymous Coward from Texas What is the best way to form 1 a homemade suppressor? Looking at mostly finger printing that can be reused. But also looking at design requirements like length and such. Question from Duke from Texas Duke of CrudeSo I was crusing Armslist looking for some travel guns and came across a mosin nagant for $495. I had an epiphany over that post. What if the mosin was worth the same but inflation was just so terrible that now a $95 dollar gun in 2002 is $495 dollars today? Just some food for thought before AI takes over. Thanks for the laughs! Duke Question from Anonymous Coward from Washington Shawn has been on a geeky mission for a while. I am wondering if he can geek out and make a universal shopping cart that using his web crawler A/I skills could check multiple sites to see if products are available from one source. Example I am ordering some area 419 products, a few CZ mags and a kydex cheek riser. I am bound to pay shipping from 3 separate sites. I am trying to see if there is one source carrying what I need. Keep up the good work Shawn getting deeper back into his tech roots but staying a gun guy at heart is bringing rewards for all of us. This is what I think: Shawn- Get to the fucking end already. Aaron- It's because you're stupid and make bad decisions. Nick- It's really not that hard. Savage- It's just to assert dominance/ownership. (These are a culmination of comments Jeremy has made to each cast member. Hope that helps.) Question from Dah-Jango The D is loud Alright you beautiful dumpster fires, I've got a question with an activity. . What are your top three odd food combinations you'll put your reputation on? Bacon-wrapped shrimp is banger, but I don't think it's odd. I grew up liking peanut butter and pickle sandwiches and I always get looks like hen making it. Please answer this in a draft style so each cast member has to have 3 different picks. Then post it on social for us to vote who drafted the best. Notes: Fries in Wendy's frosty are fire. Also when did Frostys come in other flavors besides chocolate? Question from TheObviousJames I am looking into getting my first bolt action rifle. I'd like it to be a 1000yd-capable gun. My budget is around $1000, not including glass. I'm not really a hunter, so most use cases will be target shooting. What do you all think is the best all-around cartridge? 6.5 creedmoor seems like a solid choice given overall ballistics and availability, but 300 win mag seems like a good time too. Also, would I be able to put together a decent budget chassis/ barreled action build for $1000? The Howa 1500 barreled actions + KRG Bravo Chassis seems like a decent way to go. Is it worth it to go that route, or just buy something Factory? Thank you for your input. Question from Brandon What lock pick set do you guys carry or use? Something I want to get into just for knowledge and know how. Thanks Ill be listening to see if my question comes up before Aaron comes back ill know how far down in the list I am. Question from Alex S Hey so I have an AR with a commercial buffer tube. I'm looking for a stock to put on it. I originally had my eyes on the Magpul PRS lite but it is only for mil spec buffer tubes. I would really like an adjustable cheek riser and the only other option I'm seeing is a luth AR MBA-4, but like the look/function of the fixed stocks better. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks! This week we learn about predator hunting with thermal equipment. Two excellent Louisiana outfitters who specialize in hunting pigs and coyotes with thermals at night join us to explain just how it's done. It's a fascinating discussion and we all learned that we all want to experience this unique hunt. We know first-hand how devastating pigs can be to a property, but these guys have found a way to keep the pressure on them and help their local farmers AND have FUN!  If you have feral pigs in your area, there may be local farmers that would welcome you to help reduce their numbers.  The trappers are using thermals and suppressors to clean up the pigs they can get in traps. We aren't glorifying pig hunting, but pointing out a way to help put the pressure on these destructive vermin. We also learn what a Rougarou is and how did we miss that?
