We Like Shooting Episode 640 This episode of We Like Shooting is brought to you by: Midwest Industries, Die Free Co., Medical Gear Outfitters, Mitchell Defense, Rost Martin, and Swampfox Optics Welcome to the We Like Shooting Show, episode 640! Our cast tonight is Jeremy Pozderac, Savage1r, Jon Patton, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! - Gear Chat Nick - KRG Bravo Unplugged KRG Bravo Shawn - GLOCK Unveils Ergonomically Enhanced Generation 6 Models ## Key Points Summary Intro This summary captures the main takeaways from the Glock Gen 6 launch coverage featuring John from the Warrior Poet Society. The discussion centers on design changes, practical improvements, and shooting impressions, with notes on market timing and pricing. Sponsorships were not part of the core content. Center Key design changes and their practical impact - Grip and texture: The new texture sits between Gen 4 and RTF2; two backstraps including a palm swell are provided. The texture extends higher on both sides for a more secure hold, especially in hot conditions. - Ergonomics: Deeper trigger guard undercut reduces the “Glock knuckle” issue; the grip surface is larger, improving surface area for those with bigger hands; the grip shape swells in the midsection for a more natural wrap. - Controls: Deeper slide serrations, especially on top, enhance manipulation from either end of the slide. The ambidextrous slide release remains, and the pistol uses a single recoil spring (as in earlier generations) while retaining some material from the B-series. - Magwell and contour: The magwell is more flared; the overall contour resembles a topographic map, broadening the hand placement area and increasing leverage for a stronger grip. - Gas pedals and holster compatibility: Gas pedals are built into the frame on both sides with material reduced to protect compatibility with Gen 5 holsters; the goal is a functional improvement without forcing new holsters. - Optics and plates: The plate system is not MOS; it uses a polymer insert that sits lower on the slide and acts like a crush washer under tension. Footprints include Delta Point and RMR; optic-ready configuration remains, with some models rumored to feature polymer sights. - Sights and optics readiness: The factory setup is optics-ready, with some early photos showing polymer sight options. - Barrel and reliability: The Marksman barrel remains, but the extractor housing has been redesigned to be removable for easier maintenance and to reduce installation errors. - Handling and feel: The grip bite is strong but not overly tacky, enabling fast, controlled manipulations without the gun sticking to the hand. Models, availability, and pricing - US launch models: Gen 617 (with Glock 47 form factor), 19-length slide paired to a full-size grip (G45-like); overseas, Glock 49 appears as a variant. - Optics-ready configuration: All examples are MOS-ready or compatible, with plates included for common footprints. - Pricing and timing: MSRP is anticipated around $750; production units were slated to begin arriving in January, with possible earlier availability as information evolves. - Accessories and maintenance: An updated extractor housing system is highlighted as simplifying field maintenance and reducing failure risks due to improper screw length. User experience and feedback - Hand feel: The curved, swollen midsection improves leverage and comfort; the grip texture provides secure grip without excessive tackiness, avoiding slip during rapid manipulation. - Shooting impressions: A large, controlled sampling (nine pistols and thousands of rounds) yielded consistent ejection and reliable cycling during demonstrations; full independent testing will further validate reliability. - Community notes: Gen 5 users worried about slide-lock issues may benefit from deeper cuts and reinforced stops; modular grip options were not part of the initial rollout, though patent activity suggests ongoing development. Outro Takeaway: Gen 6 Glock delivers meaningful ergonomic and grip improvements, while maintaining optics readiness and reliability expectations. The US market rollout is aimed for January with a target MSRP near $750; overseas options include Glock 49. Next steps include comprehensive independent testing, longer-term reliability data, and broader real-world reviews. Stay tuned for updates, and consider price-alert subscriptions for stock and accessory availability. Looking ahead to 2026, KDG plans to introduce new products and enhance capabilities, which may impact the firearm accessory market by providing innovative solutions for shooters. Bullet Points Shawn - Steiner Optics Unveils Innovative ATLAS Aiming System Steiner Optics has launched the ATLAS, a compact multi-emitter aiming and illumination device aimed at military, law enforcement, and professional security users, as well as the commercial market. It features co-aligned emitters, user-friendly controls, and a durable design, positioned as a versatile tool for operational use. The introduction of the ATLAS may influence purchasing decisions within the gun community, particularly for those seeking advanced aiming systems. The MSRP begins at $4,024.99. Shawn - Taurus Raging Hunter: Now Available in .350 Legend Taurus has launched a new version of its Raging Hunter revolver series chambered in .350 Legend, catering to shooters seeking a revolver suitable for hunting with straight-walled cartridges. The new models feature barrel lengths of 10.5 and 14 inches, and include enhancements for recoil management and accessory compatibility. This addition expands options for hunters in areas with regulations favoring straight-walled cartridges, positioning the Raging Hunter to appeal to a broader market segment within the gun community. WLS is Lifestyle Hoover's Legal Rollercoaster ## Key Points Summary,**Intro**,This summary distills the latest developments surrounding Matt Hoover, the CRS Firearms creator, after a lengthy legal battle tied to the so-called “auto key card.” The focus is on the factual timeline, legal questions, and current status as Hoover emerges from federal prison into a halfway house. The material below omits sponsorship references and concentrates on the core events and implications for Hoover, his case, and ongoing appeals., ,**Centerpiece Facts & Timeline**,,- **Subject and backdrop**: Matt Hoover, known for the CRS Firearms YouTube channel, was linked to advertisements for the auto key card—a novelty item featuring a lightning-link-like etching intended to imply automatic-fire capability. The item did not function as advertised, and there is no evidence Hoover owned, sold, or manufactured machine guns or auto key cards.,- **Arrest and charge**: Despite the nonfunctional etching and absence of direct ownership or manufacturing activity, Hoover was arrested and charged with trafficking machine guns. The case connected him to Christopher Justin Irvin, the creator of the auto key card.,- **Sentencing dynamics**: The pre-sentencing report highlighted Hoover's clean criminal record and his role as the family's primary breadwinner, presenting a favorable background for leniency. Yet, prosecutors sought the maximum sentence, arguing aggressive measures despite the limited direct involvement in weapon manufacture or sales.,- **Contested assertions**: The government asserted extreme accusations, including a claim that Hoover married to prevent her testimony, despite Hoover and his wife sharing multiple children. These assertions drew skepticism and counter-arguments during proceedings and appellate discussions.,- **Gag order controversy**: The government attempted to impose gag orders on journalists covering the case. Those efforts were challenged and ultimately overturned, favoring press freedom and coverage of the proceedings.,- **Appeals process**: Hoover and Irvin both appealed their convictions to the Eleventh Circuit. The Eleventh Circuit heard the appeal in September, but no published decision had been issued at the time of reporting. The appellate discussion centers on evidentiary standards, the government's interpretation of the auto key card's legal status, and potential misapplications of trafficking statutes given the novelty item's nonfunctional nature.,- **Current status**: Hoover has been released from federal prison into a halfway house to serve the remainder of his sentence, effectively transitioning from confinement to supervised community-based placement. He is not at home, but he is no longer in a traditional prison setting. The case remains active on appeal, with the circuit court's decision pending.,- **Context and implications**: The broader implications touch on how prosecutors frame “trafficking” related to nonfunctional or novelty items, the evidentiary boundaries for associating creators with distributors, and the practical impact on families and communities tied to defendants in high-profile cases.,- **Public calls to action**: Viewers and supporters are encouraged to engage with ongoing legal debates, follow the Eleventh Circuit decision when released, and participate in related community discussions. Acknowledgment of the current status, while staying tuned for further updates,

Each contestant tries to prove their gun knowledge dominance. It's a wild ride of bids, bluffs, and banter—who will come out on top? Tune in to find out! Agency Brief English Bill of Rights 1689 COLD OPEN: Back in 1689, the British figured out that a government with a standing army and disarmed citizens was a bad idea. Then they forgot. THE VILLAIN: KING JAMES II (THE ORIGINAL ANTI-GUNNER) The Motive: James II wanted absolute power and a Catholic takeover of a Protestant nation. The Tactics: Used "Game Laws" (hunting regs) to disarm commoners. Selectively disarmed political enemies (Protestants) while arming loyalists (Catholics). Built a standing army in peacetime to intimidate the populace. The Lesson: Gun control was created to secure political power, not public safety. THE REVOLUTION: THE "GLORIOUS" HOSTILE TAKEOVER The Invite: Elites ("Immortal Seven") invited William of Orange to invade England. The Flight: James II's military support collapsed; he fled to France. The Contract: Parliament told William: "You can be King, but only if you sign this rights document." THE DOCUMENT: WHAT IT ACTUALLY SAYS The Text: "That the subjects which are Protestants may have arms for their defence suitable to their conditions and as allowed by law." The Wins: Recognized an individual right to have arms. Explicitly stated the purpose was "defence" (not just militia service). Banned standing armies in peacetime without Parliament's consent. The Traps (Bugs): "Suitable to their conditions": Classism. Rich people got better determination of rights. "As allowed by law": The loophole that eventually killed gun rights in the UK. THE AMERICAN UPGRADE (FIXING THE BUGS) The Fix: Madison and the Founders looked at the English model and patched the holes. No Classism: Removed "suitable to conditions." Rights are for everyone, poor or rich. No Religion: Removed "Protestants." Rights are for "The People." No Loopholes: Replaced "as allowed by law" with "Shall not be infringed." The Result: The English right was a permission slip from Parliament; the American right is a restriction on the Government. FACT CHECK & MYTH BUSTING Myth: "It was only for militias." Fact: Text says "subjects" (plural individuals) and "for their defence." Myth: "It shows regulation is normal." Fact: It shows that fighting regulation is traditional. The Bill was literally a response to excessive regulation by the King. Hidden Motive: The English elites wanted an armed populace to check the King, but not armed enough to check Parliament. The US Founders wanted the people to check everyone. IMPACT ON YOU (MODERN IMPACT) Supreme Court: In Heller and Bruen, the Court relies on this document to prove that individual gun ownership is an ancient Anglo-American tradition. Litigation: When states try to use "history" to ban guns, we use 1689 to show that disarming citizens is the act of a tyrant, not a legitimate government. Regulatory Creep: Expanding "sensitive places" and "permit requirements" is exactly how the UK used the "allowed by law" loophole to ban everything. We are fighting to keep the "American Upgrade" intact. WLS is Lifestyle Savage - Doing a 3D printed build based on the Ruger 10/22. If you think you've heard some wild shit from your quote-unquote radical friends then you better strap your ear pussies in for a ride. Upon hitting play you will be greeted by 5 cast members and while it will all seem normal for the first 15 seconds, you will soon find out that these dudes are cooler than your actual friends. Shawn, the head of the dick that is WLS, is always front and center, he runs the show and seemingly has seen it all and sometimes he gets drunk and that's when the real fun happens. Jeremy is likened to the shaft, keeps the cast together, is always the one to brag about his size and multiple times throughout the show he will uncontrollably engorge himself with rage. Aaron and Nick are both like the balls, Nick is the higher up one, closer to the head and friendly with the shaft. Seems to have lots of knowledge about the business but you would never know it. For the most part he is quiet and stays out of the way. But when he is needed, he generally has an answer. Aaron on the other hand, he is the lower one, he is the Ying to Nicks Yang, he always can't help himself with getting in the way, of easy conversation. And the rest of the cast always has fun at the expense of Aaron's well being. That being said these 5 guys will broaden your firearms and associated knowledge with true stories, industry news, first hand experience along with a lot of good laughs. Love the show guys. Keep it up. Oh shit, I forgot the 5th guy. Yeah then there's Savage1r. He's the taint. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - from Sigger Jim - I would like to amend my previous review in which i compared the cast to spices. Shawn is Thyme because his hunting stories waste a lot of it. Nick is cream of tarter because hes a little 'tarded, but the good kind of 'tarded. Jeremy is white pepper because white pepper isnt black. Aaron is cumin because all the dudes that cum-in him. Savage is still flour, but unbleached flour this time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - from Craven Moorehead - ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ You know, I like having that A-aron character around. His childlike innocence……no……ignorance, brings out the knowledge from Jeremy (the one everyone seems to think is a cunt) and Nick. Sometimes they need to see what a complete neophyte…..no……buffoon would think about a subject, so that they can expound upon the minutiae. Otherwise they would just assume that everyone is privy to the information, and move on. I also enjoy the older fellow with the ptosis of the scrotum. His stories about spoons and hunting and bad decisions sure will put a fellow to sleep. I think that about covers everyone. In closing, I sure do enjoy the podcast. Enough that I renew my cult membership every time the older fellow screws up the billing. Multiple questions. I'd apologize for it, but you guys are like the Dr. Ruth of the gun world, minus the sex advice, thank god. It's my understanding from listening over the years that possession of both full auto M16/M4 lower parts kit with the auto sear and M16-cut lower receivers is fully legal as long as the dreaded third hole is not drilled in the lowers. Do you guys know which manufacturers sell lowers with the M16-cut instead of the high shelf? Just curious (not bi-curious, A-Aron) for reasons... Jeremy, do the RET4RD lowers have the M-16 cut, and if so, do you have any left available? I have a 6.5 Creedmoor AR10 that I pieced together using Aero M5 lower, upper and handguard, Spikes BCG and Criterion 18inch barrel. I have a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 first focal plane scope that I want to mount on it. I know it's not an ideal scope, but I got it for free. Can you recommend a good 30mm tube mount or rings that won't break the bank, preferably 20 MOA for longer range. Salma Hayek, Dame Helen Mirren, Jane Seymour (of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and Wedding Crashers fame). Fuck one, marry one, kill one. Discuss. Keep up the great work guys. The WLS shows are the highlight of my week. Pecker McPeckerson - If you had to start your journey into the gun cumunity over, How, in 2025, would you get into the industry? a gun store, a range, a podcast, etc.You cannot use any contacts you already have from the gun community. You are starting from scratch with just the guns you have purchased and basic knowledge of firearms. Ny(e)gerski - You guys talk down alot about shadow systems, but I'd like to be a bit contrarian. When I bought mine, I was looking for something g19 sized, reliable, safe, and a bit upgraded. I considered building one on a p80 or a faxon frame...but then I saw the cr920 elite. Metal mags, upgraded trigger, grip texture, optic cut, etc. All for 750 bucks. I'll admit they have gone up in price more than they should (i.e. kanik) and their marketing department with the wording....really guys.... my question is, have you guys looked at their optic cut? It's pretty neat, fits most all of the different cuts without plates. It uses little spacers that you have to shoehorn the optic in where the screws have almost no pressure on them. Maybe it would be a good option to license to other manufacturers? Ps. as a fuel driver in the Midwest, there are pretty much 2 grades of fuel...subgrade which is around 84 octane, and premium which is 91. Those 2 fuels get either blended together, blended with ethanol, or both to create all the different fuels you get at the station. 84 with 10% ethanol gets you to 87octane. 84 with 15% ethanol gets you 88octane. 84 with a little 91 gets you 87 with 0 ethanol...etc. we were hoping to see you guys at goals, but had to change our vacation days from an adoption finally having an end date right after, hope you guys had a blast! Shaak&Awe - Curious! Can I use a crush washer on a direct tread suppressor? Mark B - Im looking to get a Ruger 10/22 and plan to put a scope on it, probably an old 2.5-10 Tasco I have laying around. I like the look of the heavy 16” barrel, like on model 31197. Is the bull barrel of any practical use on a 22? I do plan to do some off hand shooting, but most will be from a bipod or front bag. Ruger makes a lite model that gives the look of the heavy barrel but is much less weight, however it costs significantly more. I have no plans to compete with this, just a fun shooter.

Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I just love food too much”? If you've struggled with weight regain after weight loss surgery (WLS), you're not alone. Many women carry this belief — and I've said it myself. But here's the tough truth: when “loving food” becomes your identity, it can quietly sabotage your success after bariatric surgery. Weight loss surgery can change your stomach, but it doesn't change your brain. These habits slip around restriction, leading to grazing, overeating, and eventually weight regain. In this episode, I'll share: Why simply “loving food” isn't the real problem. How your identity around food is formed — and why surgery can't fix it. The hidden connection between food obsession, emotional eating, and WLS regain. How to reframe your identity so you can enjoy food without losing control. By the end, you'll see that you don't have to choose between loving food and living a healthy, confident life after bariatric surgery. And I'm not talking about someone standing there knocking aggressively. I mean, if they're actually trying to break the door open. Would you go ahead and shoot? Or would you hold fire until they actually forced the door open? Jason S - I got a Riley defense rak308. My 1st time shooting it i was using winchester white box m80 7.62x51 and i was getting popped primers and and buldged primers. Riley defense said it was from using 7.62x51 and not 308. i didn't have any other ammo and haven't had a chance to shoot 308 ammo yet. I put a hyperfire trigger hammer and hammer spring in it.
