Today we have the opportunity to sit down with Matt D. Wilson to break down Impostor Syndicate + their experience creating #indiecomics! Be sure to check the links below to stay in touch with their future works!"A down-on-his-luck actor. An impossible-to-pass-up opportunity. In a world where superheroes and supervillains are real and also the biggest business in the world — we're talking movies, TV shows, toys, video games, even Broadway — shadowy employers have ample reason to keep them fighting no matter what.So what happens when a supervillain dies on the job, or just gets too old for this $#!+ and retires? Well, somebody's gotta step up and put on the mask. And actors have to work, don't they? Especially if they're slumming around doing kids' birthday parties, and there are enough zeroes in the check. This series is literally 20 years in the making, so your help can finally bring it to life!"ZOOP - https://zoop.gg/c/impostorsyndicate---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Twitter - https://twitter.com/TheMattDWilson---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------To stay up to date with my content creation as well as my day-to-day thoughts, feel free to follow my Twitter - https://twitter.com/keepingitgeeklyFor single-issue breakdowns and more be sure to visit my TikTok over at https://tiktok.com/keepingitgeeklyBe sure to drop by my Twitch channel where I live stream every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 11 PM EST https://twitch.tv/job_for_a_codyMy personal Discord -https://discord.gg/vg9zEyKtIntro Music - https://twitter.com/PersyThePianist | http://linktr.ee/PersyNotesBackground Music - [FREE] Kota The Friend Type Beat - "Laid Back" - Kota https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIY19VZa3FY&t=83s --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/keepingitgeekly/support

Before digging into the series, hosts Erica Henderson, Benito Cereno and Matt D. Wilson discuss their history with the "Child's Play" series of films and horror in general!
90s nostalgia and failed superhero movies take center stage on this week's contest! That's appropriate, given the presence of comic experts Matt Wilson, Chris Sims, and Benito Cereno from the world's most destructive comic book and pop culture podcast: War Rocket Ajax. After a brief discussion of several characters' Zoom skills, they'll take a trivia dive into the dark recesses of syndicated TV shows from the 1990s. The competition heats up even further when they are quizzed on the worst superhero movies ever made. You won't believe some of the disasters that this game will drudge up! With some tailor-made categories for round three, it all comes down to the lightning round where our players really get a chance to show their stuff! Support Us On Patreon

We tried the Reese's Lovers Krispy Kreme donuts, as well as their Oreo variation and, of course, the classic: that Hot Original Glazed.
We watched 2019's Shazam! this month, and our reaction to it may surprise you! It kinda surprised us, at least.
We went back to McDonald's for this week's episode because we did not learn our lesson. Specifically, we tried two of the new "Worldwide Favorites": Cheesy Bacon Fries and the Stroopwafel McFlurry. Also, I looked it up and I know stroopwafels originally came from the Netherlands. You don't have to @ me.
Based on listener requests, we dug up this 2018 animated Batman film, and it sure is a wild ride.
We went to Heroes Con in Charlotte and while we were there, we had a big post-workout meal at Shake Shack. How do its burgers stand up against the rest?
We're trying the non-Tim Tam snacks sent to us by a listener in Australia: three candy bars and some M&Ms!
We got tricked into watching this bad movie from 1998. It was a mean trick.
We got another package from Australia, and it's another set of Tim Tam flavors. But there's a special catch! These ones you can bite the ends off of to sip coffee through them! How's the experience? Listen and learn! Thanks to Lucas Brown for sending them!
Another month, another movie featuring a present-day NBA star. How will this one measure up against Uncle Drew? (Badly. It's badly.)
We tried the newest McDonald's breakfast menu item, and found that the name was...a bit misleading. But how does it fare dunked in some McCafe coffee?
We went to a con in Charlotte and tried eight different flavors of Rap Snacks. Spoiler: They were all pretty good.
Because you demanded it, we watched the two My Little Pony: Equestria Girls specials from this year, Forgotten Friendship and Roller Coaster of Friendship. One we liked! One we didn't! One even had some answers to our numerous questions! Find out which!
It's time for spooky snacks, so we went to Starbucks and each got a Witch's Brew Frappuccino, plus we try Reese's Pumpkins, Cookies and Screeem M&M's and Halloween Crunch!

Shortbox Showcase #59 - The Heroes Con ReportIn this contastic new episode, Em and Professor Alan talk about their trip to Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina. They talk about the podcasting buddies they met, the comic professionals they met, the comic semi-professional they met, the costumes they saw, and all the stuff they purchased. Did they enjoy themselves? And what did Mrs. Professor think of all the craziness? From Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina, we're keeping it close this time by doing some tests with regional sodas.
Chris and Matt were at Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina, this past weekend and they took the opportunity to chat with the four-man comics collective Frank Comics about their new book Ghost Box, the brilliance of the Money Burglar, elaborate con banners, ideas that never get used, being mistaken for hot dog salesmen, the afterlife and so much more! Plus, Matt and Chris talk about some of the trends at the convention this year!
We're back and ranking stories as we head into the summer!
It's a holiday, so we took the opportunity to be VERY silly.
Over the course of eight-plus years and 400 episodes (really more, but we only count certain ones), War Rocket Ajax has tried out a lot of segments and served as the breeding ground for a lot of other podcasts. So we asked our co-hosts from some of the other podcasts we do now--Ally Stock of Xena Warrior Business, Matt Fisher of Smark of the Beast, Benito Cereno of Apocrypals, Marlene Thompson of Ghost of a Chance and Jordan D. White of Sailor Business--to hop on our rented zeppelin and celebrate the occasion with us. In the process, we revive some old WRA segments and try some new stuff!
It's our lot in life, so we're once again ranking comic book stories for two hours!
Is it a movie? Is it a TV series? Is it an OAV? Whatever it is, we're watching the three-episode Netflix series about the Pony Girls. None of our questions are answered. (Also: Apologies for some poppin' p's. We weren't using our usual audio setup.)
Watch as two mega-powers of comic book podcasts... explode! Who will be raised up in victory? Who will languish in defeat? And can a contestant's will be broken... by IKEA? All these questions and more await in…. THE GREAT AJAXIAN BASH. Note: this is the third and final of my Technical Difficulties episodes, thanks to Zencaster making Chris and Matt sound great, but making me sound like I was inside a cardboard paper towel tube.Follow Matt and Chris on Twitter at @theMattDWilson and @theisb, follow the show at @TheMathOfYou, and my wacky adventures at @lokified. We're coming in just under the wire with two hours of story rankings for the shortest month of the year!
We're back on schedule and ranking stories in this first official special of 2018!
As January comes to a close, we're taking your listener questions!
This year, we exchange our gifts at the grandest theme park of them all, Dollywood!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Mick Foley dressed as Santa got choke slammed down the chimney and delivered a delightful list for all to hear (and Matts to rank). Matt D Wilson: mattdwilson.net Matt B Fisher: twitter.com/mattmoment
We're back from a break and better than never. The MWO continue their journey to rank 666 things from pro-wrestling. Matt D Wilson: mattdwilson.net Matt B Fisher: twitter.com/mattmoment
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent some of our holiday week ranking some comics characters.
Our good friend and resident werewolf expert Kel McDonald is back this week to talk about her new project, "You Are the Chosen One," worldbuilding, smooching monsters, the smells of medieval fiction, getting metatextual, Buffy, TV show title cards and much more! Plus, Chris and Matt answer one of your listener questions!
We're back and we're snackin'! This month, we're trying several bars purchased at Kramarczuk's deli in Minneapolis! Many of them are wafer bars, and while that seems right up our alley, they're not all as perfect and beautiful as we'd hoped, though a few do manage to succeed. Learn about the conundrum of delicate milk along with us!
We're spookily exicted to welcome Tini Howard, writer of the new Hack Slash: Resurrection series, back to the show! Also, Chris is back! And we haven't missed a step, because we're talking about inscribed weapons, horror/comedy, the terror of ladder matches, unsung slasher movies, enjoying the sensation of being scared, and much more! Plus, we finally return to raking characters on the Panel President list!
Our pal Chris Haley joins Matt to shoot the breeze and answer listener questions this week! Mortal Kombat: Annihilation is discussed at length, as are soup, cereal, Dark Nights: Metal, Jon Kent, horror movies and lots more!
