Nine out of ten adults say they believe there is a mental health crisis in the US today. Dr. Dennis Hall and his guest Dr. Ken Jones, Senior Pastor, Amelia Plantation Chapel, Fernandina Beach, Florida address the explosion of mental health issues in America. More than 50 million people in America are suffering from mental health conditions. The highest rate of mental health conditions are among young adults ages 18 to 25. It is more than twice as high as adults 50 and older. They review some of the causes for the dramatic rise in mental health issues. Among the causes discussed are smartphones, divisive news, violent TV programs, and video games, the breakdown of the family unit, sexual and gender confusion, and overly protected and indulged children. These pastors point out that God cares about your heart but also cares about your mind. Jesus said in Matthew 22:37, “Love you Lord your God with all your heart , with all your soul, and all your mind.” They describe how the sacrament of communion can impact the minds of believers and be transformational in their lives. God tells us, “RENEW YOUR MINDS!” by being led by the spirit. Can also be see on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/MUloFU7tZms

Right off the bat, we have to apologize for the rough sound quality... it seems the Gods of Technology were not with us when we recorded this. Trying to clean this up even a little bit was enough to drive anyone nuts. Ironic then, that one of our number 8 jerseys had the nickname "Mental Case". It was probably pretty deserved, as you'll hear. Obviously, there's a lot of love for Barclay Plager as well. Then we cover the three games, where 4 out of 6 possible points is probably better than the team deserved -but we'll take them nonetheless. And finally, there's the recent goal-scoring panic, and the resulting ideas that have come out about that. All told, quite a bit of craziness.
Good Advice – The Growlers Southern California-based band The Growlers are a current garage rock sensation with retro 60s vibes that blend psychedelia, folk and more. Sutphin Boulevard – Blood Orange British indie musician Dev Hynes is an acclaimed songwriter for the likes of Solange and Sky Ferreira, and collaborates with a range of artists for his multi-genre project Blood Orange. H-Bomb – Night Beats Seattle-based, psychedelic garage group Night Beats are the perfect driving companion for dark nights and winding roads. Natural Life – Cool Ghouls A current band based in San Francisco, Cool Ghouls are proof the spirit of 60s rock is still alive and well. Mental Case – SKATERS We love the latest single from the excellent New York indie rockers SKATERS. Teenage Idol – Ricky Nelson Ricky Nelson singing about life on the road in the early 60s as a touring musician, something our boys The Orwells are learning about now. Animals – The Ghost of A Saber Tooth Tiger Remind you of The Beatles in their psychedelic era? There’s a reason – that voice belongs to Sean Lennon. Bam Bam – Sister Nancy A reggae classic from the early 80s, brought back to the mainstream on the TV show “Girls.” Thinkin Bout You – Frank Ocean Critically acclaimed rapper and songwriter Frank Ocean is definitely a musician to watch in the coming years. Trick Pony (Boys Noize Remix) – Charlotte Gainsbourg Charlotte Gainsbourg’s been singing since she was little with her father Serge Gainsbourg, and even as she’s become an acclaimed indie actress, her music never disappoints.
