Have you ever reached a point in your business where nothing is technically broken… but everything suddenly feels heavier? In this episode, I'm talking about the moment most entrepreneurs don't expect when you outgrow the way you've always worked. It's not failure. It's not burnout. It's a promotion into a new level of leadership.I'm sharing what really happens when growth starts exposing the limits of your systems, your habits, and even your identity. Because the truth is growth doesn't break what worked… it simply reveals that your current operating system can't hold the next version of you.If you've been feeling that “messy middle” season, where hustle isn't working the same and you know something needs to shift, this conversation is going to help you reframe what's happening and show you where to start redesigning your business for the next level.

I'm sure you've heard that one of the benefits of being tall is that you can eat whatever and however much you want. Now, this isn't entirely true, but the idea behind it is that if you gain weight, it won't show as much. Now, that part has some truth to it because the weight has more room to distribute, causing many of us to maintain a slim appearance. However, when we start talking numbers, the perception almost shatters.Maybe you hear your friends talking about how they're 120 or 130 pounds, but you're at 180 or 190. And that's where the comparison starts. You may wonder why you weigh so much more than your friends and ask if you should lose weight. The truth is, many tall women have been through this before and still go through it. So today's topic may be a bit triggering for some, but we're gonna have a conversation around weight as tall women and how comparisons and labels around weight can affect our mental health. What if you're not stuck… you've just mastered your current level? In this episode, I'm breaking down the real reason your income keeps landing at the same number and it's probably not what you think. It's not about working harder, chasing more leads, or adding another strategy. Most agents hit an income ceiling because their operating system hasn't evolved with their growth.I see this pattern with new agents, top producers, and even seven-figure businesses. The hustle that got you here won't take you to the next level. And if you feel like you're doing more but earning the same… this conversation is going to challenge how you look at your business structure, capacity, and leverage. If you've ever felt plateaued, restless, or like you're pushing against an invisible ceiling, this episode is for you.Things I Cover In This EpisodeWhy repeating income numbers is a structure problem not a motivation problemThe difference between hustle-driven growth vs system-driven capacityThe simple formula: Leads × Conversion × Capacity = IncomeWhere most agents unknowingly create their own income ceilingThe hidden role your operating system plays in scaling beyond six and seven figuresHow decision fatigue and fragile systems limit your growthThe three real ways to create income jumps without burning outWhy high-level agents focus on capacity first, not just volumeIf this episode made you realize you've outgrown your current structure, it might be time to upgrade your operating system. "By age 40, one in five women has dealt with an eating disorder—twice the rate we see by age 21." – Harvard UniversityWhile society often frames eating disorders as a struggle for teenagers, the reality is that women in midlife are increasingly vulnerable. In this episode, Dr. Rachel Pope addresses the "silent epidemic" affecting millions of women as they navigate the convergence of hormonal shifts, body image pressures, and life transitions. As we continue our New Year's series on weight management and GLP-1 medications, Dr. Pope is joined by internationally recognized expert Dr. Lucene Wisniewski. Together, they discuss the thin line between a healthy focus on nutrition and the onset of disordered eating. Why do perimenopause and menopause create a "biological window of risk"? How do we distinguish between "discipline" and "obsession"?Dr. Lucene Wisniewski, PhD, FAED, is a leader in eating disorder treatment and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with nearly 30 years of experience. She provides a compassionate, evidence-based look at how women can protect their mental health while pursuing physical wellness. In this episode, we discuss: The Hormonal Connection: Why the menopause transition is a high-risk period for both relapses and "de novo" (new) eating disorders. Effective vs. Rigid Eating: Moving away from black-and-white "food rules" toward a flexible, social, and balanced relationship with fuel. Red Flags in Midlife: How to identify signs of preoccupation, body checking, and the moralization of food. The "Binge-Restrict" Cycle: Why "not eating" is often the biggest trigger for out-of-control eating. Tracking Apps & Tech: When tools like macro-trackers stop being helpful and start becoming a "life stance." If you've started strength training, you've probably seen terms like RPE, RIR, volume, frequency, training to failure, unilateral vs bilateral, lengthened position training, drop sets… and wondered:Do I actually need to care about this?In this episode, I walk you through the most common strength training terms you'll see online and explain them in plain English. More importantly, I tell you which ones really matter if you're a woman in midlife whose goal is to build muscle, get stronger, improve your health, and prepare your body for the decades ahead. If you're in your first year or two of lifting, this will help you stop overthinking and focus on what actually moves the needle.I cover:What a program really is and why it mattersSets, reps, rep ranges, and what “lifting heavy” actually meansTraining close to failure vs going to failureFrequency and volumeRPE and reps in reserveLengthened vs shortened trainingUnilateral vs bilateral trainingPartials and drop setsAnd I'll tell you what you need to care about, and what you can safely ignore for now.If you want to lift in a way that builds real strength and muscle in midlife without getting lost in jargon, this episode is for you.Send me your thoughts
This is our first episode recorded live in Sweden, here at Fotografiska Stockholm. And I couldn't imagine a better guest to open this chapter. In this episode, I get to interview the brilliant Keika Lee, Director of Global Public Affairs at IKEA.Keika grew up in Sweden with Korean heritage, in a family where discipline and hard work were part of everyday life. She was on her way to becoming a classical pianist, with auditions at Juilliard and the Conservatoire in Paris, and then she made a decision that surprised many: she walked away. What followed wasn't a straight career path, but years of trial and error. Keika tried many different roles: from bartending and working airport security to studying political science, building a fashion brand with her sister and working in consultancy. From the outside, It might look scattered, but it became one of her biggest strengths: learning how people behave and how to read the room. This episode might make you pause and ask yourself whether what you're building is actually aligned with who you are, and remind you that nothing you try is ever wasted.Read more about the Women Authors of Achievement (WAA) Podcast via waa.berlin/aboutFollow us on Instagram & find us on LinkedInSubscribe to our newsletter via waa.berlin/newsletter ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
Most agents think their income is unpredictable. But what if I told you… your calendar already tells the truth about your business? In this episode, I break down a concept that completely changed the way I look atgrowth, structure, and leadership:Your calendar isn't your schedule , it's your business model. After posting a reel about this, my DMs blew up… so I decided to go deeper and unpack why your daily structure predicts your revenue, your stress level, and even your long-term success. If you feel like you're working hard but still riding the roller coaster of inconsistent income… this conversation is going to hit differently.I'm not here to give you another “time blocking hack.”I'm showing you how Agent CEOs actually design their week so revenue becomes predictable, without burnout.Because your goals don't determine your results…Your calendar does.Things I Cover In This EpisodeWhy your calendar is the most honest reflection of your businessHow I can predict income just by looking at someone's scheduleThe difference between reactive calendars vs Agent CEO calendarsWhy inconsistent structure creates inconsistent commissionsRevenue blocks, thinking time, and build time (and why they matter)The real reason time blocking fails for most agentsCalendar boundaries and how they protect your incomeChecklist vs time-blocking systems (for agents who hate rigid schedules)How to create a predictable weekly operating rhythmThe shift from hustle-based schedules → structure-based growthIf this episode made you look at your calendar differently:✔️ Subscribe so you don't miss future Play Bigger episodes✔️ Drop a comment: What's ONE block missing from your calendar right now? ✔️ Share this episode with an agent who feels stuck in reactive mode---
We often say that tall women are masculinized or made to feel as though we're not feminine. This often happens in our everyday lives. For example, when we encounter certain men, some may say to us that they prefer shorter women because they're “more feminine” or when we encounter certain people who misgender us. Another example is clothing. We may have a hard time dressing in a traditionally feminine way, such as wearing dresses, skirts, or certain tops, because we have longer limbs and those items may not fit us well. However, I argue that there's a lesser-known factor that plays a role in the masculinization of tall women: shorter women. Today, we're gonna discuss how short women masculinize tall women, why some of them do it, and provide reminders that your height has nothing to do with masculinity or femininity. Most agents aren't stuck because they don't know what to do.They're stuck because they never install what they already know.In this episode, I'm breaking down one of the biggest bottlenecks I see with real estate agents and entrepreneurs today: staying in learning mode instead of moving into build mode.Learning feels safe.Learning feels productive. But learning without installation doesn't change your business. If you've ever found yourself consuming content, saving posts, buying courses, attending trainings… yet still dealing with the same chaos, income swings, and pressure, this conversation is for you.I'm not here to shame you or tell you to “try harder.”I want to show you what's actually happening structurally and how to fix it.Because growth doesn't come from more information. It comes from installed behavior.
If you're working out but feeling softer and looking less toned than you used to, this might be why.In this episode, I unpack five widely held fitness beliefs that are keeping midlife women stuck. These are beliefs most women over 40 still live by. And it's not your fault. It's what the fitness industry has taught us. Up until a few years ago, I believed them too.The problem is this: When you believe these things,You choose workouts you think are effective but that don't actually build strength and muscle. You judge progress by the wrong signals. You quit the right methods too early. As a result, you slowly get weaker and lose muscle even though you're working out.If your body isn't responding the way it used to, this episode will connect some dots.Enjoy the show.Send me your thoughts
Our height as tall women often brings up different emotions in people. Some people feel admiration towards us, often telling us how beautiful and elegant we are. Some feel jealousy, which I don't blame ‘em because being tall is lowkey fire. But this jealousy can quickly lead to insecurity, causing them to act weirdly towards us. And some people feel angry. Yes, angry towards the tall girlies lol. Angry, mad, pissed off, I'm sure you get the picture. For what reason? We'll likely get into that as the episode goes on. But this anger can lead to terrible behaviors ranging from constant insults to physical altercations. YES! People are putting their hands on tall women BECAUSE they feel a certain way about their height. In today's episode, we are diving deeper into this and answering the question: Are tall women in danger? Tune in for more! If you've ever caught yourself saying “I know I need to do that… I'll get to it later,” this episode is your wake-up call.Because “later” isn't neutral. It isn't harmless. And it definitely isn't free.In this episode, I break down the hidden cost of delay. The opportunities you don't see, the income you never calculate, and the momentum that quietly slips away when you keep pushing important installs down the road. This isn't about motivation. This isn't about hype. This is about installation.I'm pulling back the curtain on why most entrepreneurs don't struggle from lack of knowledge… they struggle from lack of execution and how a simple shift from busy to installed changes everything. If you've been feeling behind, stuck, or like you should be further along by now… this conversation is for you.
Have you ever heard that menopause is like a second puberty? I think that idea goes beyond the hormonal changes and into something deeper: our identity. We're no longer considered “young,” but identifying as “old” doesn't sit right either. As women in midlife, many of us are coming into our power. After decades of raising kids, taking care of family, navigating marriage and career, we finally have time and energy to turn inward. And we're not done living. In this episode, I share my own struggle with this identity shift and the conclusions I've come to for myself. My hope is that by sharing my story, it helps someone who's wrestling with the same questions.Enjoy the show!Send me your thoughts
Weight frustration in perimenopause isn't just about vanity—it's about a physiological shift that changes how our bodies handle fuel. In this episode, Dr. Rachel Pope sits down with midlife health expert Ann Konkoly to demystify GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic and Zepbound), the hidden dangers of visceral fat, and why the scale is often a "shitty measurement" for your actual health. In this episode, we discuss: The "Middle" Mystery: Why the "eat less, move more" mantra fails women in perimenopause and how this transition impacts weight maintenance. GLP-1s Beyond Weight Loss: Ann explains the metabolic benefits of these medications, including reducing neuroinflammation and protecting the heart and kidneys. The Hidden Danger of Visceral Fat: Why a "normal BMI" can be misleading and how internal fat affects your risk for chronic disease. Synergy with MHT: How optimizing cardiovascular health can create a safer "on-ramp" for starting hormone replacement therapy. Preserving Lean Muscle: Strategies for "muscle-centric medicine" to ensure weight loss doesn't come at the expense of your strength and bone density. The HOMA-IR Hack: A simple way to use fasting glucose and insulin levels to see if insulin resistance is your primary roadblock. Planning for your later years: Why the choices you make in your 40s and 50s determine your mobility and independence in your 80s and 90s.The "Proactive Midlife" Lab ChecklistAnn suggests asking your provider for these specific markers to get a true picture of your metabolic health: Fasting Insulin & Fasting Glucose (to calculate your HOMA-IR score). Lipid Panel (focusing on Triglycerides). Lipoprotein(a) & hs-CRP (markers of inflammation and genetic heart risk). Body Composition Analysis (to track muscle mass vs. visceral fat).About Ann:Ann Konkoly is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. There are a lot of follow-along exercise programs out there that claim to be "strength training". And while they are better than doing nothing (ie, sitting on the couch or doing cardio-only), they will never be as efficient or effective at building strength and muscle as proper strength training. You'll build strength & muscle more slowly and no matter how many hours you put in, you'll never reach the results you could be getting. In this episode, I break down why. This is a podcast for tall girlies, right? Well, I mean obviously. It's literally called A Tall Girl's Podcast. And I get quite a few messages, emails, reviews, and comments from tall women of different heights saying how this podcast has helped them love their height. And honestly, I'm super grateful for y'all. Now these heights range from 5'8” all the way to 6'5”, which is a pretty big range. And if you were to line these women up by height and ask everyday people which ones they considered tall, I'm sure we'd get varying responses. Some people will say 5'10”. Some will say 6'1”. Some will apparently say 5'5” lol. I honestly have no idea why, but whatever. Anyways, it's apparent that no one can agree on what's considered tall for a woman. And today, we're gonna dive deeper into this debate and maybe even settle it once and for all. Tune in to the full episode for more! It's about time we really talk about beauty tech, what it already looks like in parts of Asia, and what it could become in our homes in the next few years, in ways we probably can't even imagine yet. That's exactly what I explore in this episode with Wanfen Xia, CMO and Managing Director at Ulike Europe.Wanfen brings a clear and grounded perspective on where the beauty-tech sector is heading. We talk about how advanced Asian markets already are, what Europe can learn from them, and how new self-care routines might soon become a natural part of everyday life at home. What I especially appreciated in this conversation is Wanfen's gentle, thoughtful approach, shaped by literature, aesthetics, and a deep understanding to what beauty can mean beyond performance or perfection. The tall fashion industry has definitely made a lot of progress over the past few years. Before, tall women didn't have any women's options, meaning they had to resort to clothing that wasn't long enough or men's clothing. However, over time, small tall-specific brands have been popping up, finally offering options that fit our long limbs. Big retailers even joined in on this, providing long and tall options. Sounds great, right? To an extent…We still have to deal with limited options and constantly sold-out tall pieces, whereas the regular and even petite sections have clothing options that we want and need, but in shorter sizes. What if I told you that the same people who the regular and petite pieces are designed for are playing a part in tall women's fashion frustrations? Yup! This will all make more sense the further we get into the episode, so be sure to tune in! Growing up tall is more than the basketball jokes and the “How's the weather up there?” questions. I mean, it's a large part of it, don't get me wrong. From when we're kids in the playground and our peers call us a bunch of ridiculous names, to our teen years when family members are commenting on our long limbs to when we're adults and we overhear our crush saying they don't like taller women, the struggle is definitely real. However, we don't really talk about how being visibly different from a young age can shape how we see ourselves and how we show up in the world. So, in today's episode, we're gonna dive deeper into how being a tall woman shapes our psychology, as explained by an organizational psychologist and fellow tall girl. Tune in for more! People have a lot to say about dating as a tall woman. We're often told that our options are limited because there aren't loads of tall men out there in the world. And in conjunction with that, we're told to keep our options open and consider shorter men. Then, our experiences show us that many men don't prefer or even consider tall women when dating, for whatever reason, whether they find us intimidating, masculine, or they feel insecure around us, etc. And we can't forget about the back and forth with short women in that “all the shorter women are taking tall men” debate. It kinda sounds horrendous, honestly. However, our experiences have become so popular that some of our dating struggles have become stereotyped and are compared to or used to name other general dating struggles. Today, we're going to discuss why tall women's dating struggles have been given a bit of a bad rep and how the tall girlies can navigate these struggles with confidence while remaining sane. From choosing family over fast-tracked promotions to navigating reinvention without a clear plan, Neeraja's journey offers a deeply human look at what it really means to lead on your own terms. Together, we explore the quiet courage it takes to pivot, the mindset shift behind sustainable growth, and the question that guided Neeraja through each transition: “What's the worst that can happen?” If you've ever wrestled with imposter syndrome, feared stepping out of line, or wondered if slowing your pace meant losing momentum this conversation will meet you exactly where you are. There are so many things to love about being tall as a woman. We naturally command every room we enter. We're naturally more respected. We give off modelesque vibes. We can walk quickly, run quickly, and reach for things on top shelves without asking. Clothes hit differently on us. We stand out without trying. And the list goes on and on and on…And with all of these amazing things to love about being tall, sometimes you have to wonder why many tall women are insecure about, or even hate their height? Why don't they realize how amazing and unique it is? The answer to this is honestly pretty complex and we're actually gonna discuss this along with the effects of height privilege on tall women. This year was definitely the year for tall women on social media. And I'm HERE FOR IT. Starting with the Big Mama trend, tall women have been showing up online embracing their height and size, and other people have been eating it up, too, saying that tall women are beautiful and so underrated. Like, yes, yes, we are. The Big Mama trend has led to a whole slew of smaller trends where tall women are embracing their height. I will say it's died down a teeny bit, but now the tall girlies are trending again, but for something different. There's a bit of drama and content highlighting one of the struggles we face as tall women. And I kinda wanna give my thoughts on them, so make sure you tune in to the full episode! What if the way you finish this year is the very thing that determines how powerfully you step into the next one? In this episode, I'm breaking down a truth most entrepreneurs overlook: January doesn't erase December — it magnifies it. And if you're an ambitious agent, leader, or entrepreneur, you are not behind. You're right on time to finish strong.I'm sharing the exact mindset shifts, year-end systems, and CEO-level moves that will help you clean the clutter, close the loops, reconnect strategically, and protect your energy so you can enter 2026 with clarity and momentum. This episode is your permission slip to stop hustling blindly and start finishing intentionally — on your terms. If you're tired of crawling into January feeling scattered, stressed, or drained, this conversation will change how you close your year forever.
If you want to get stronger, build muscle to look toned, and feel like yourself again, progressive strength training is the most effective method for women in perimenopause and menopause. In this episode, I explain what progressive strength training is and how it's different from the "strength training" workouts you may be doing. You'll understand how it enables you to actually trigger muscle growth in midlife, when shifting hormones can make building strength harder than it used to be.I also share three of the most common mistakes I see women make that keep them from getting the results they deserve from the time they're already spending lifting weights. This is part one of my progressive strength training deep dive series. In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on one of the biggest misconceptions in real estate and entrepreneurship: Q4 isn't slow—it's strategic. I'll walk you through why the moves you make in November determine the momentum you feel in January… and why top agents treat this season as their secret advantage instead of a time to coast.I'm sharing the honest lessons I learned the hard way early in my career—when I believed the “holiday slowdown” myth and started every new year from zero. And I'll show you exactly how the top 10% create separation season, re-engage their database with intention, clean up their pipelines like CEOs, and use simple systems to build more momentum in four weeks than most build in four months. If you're ready to finish the year with intention instead of excuses, this episode is your blueprint.✨ Things I Cover in This Episode:Why January momentum starts in NovemberHow top agents actually use Q4 to separate from the packThe “relationship equity” framework to reconnect with your databaseCEO-level pipeline prep (including the 5 buckets system)A simple 3-2-1 weekly rhythm to drive revenue and visibilityWhat NOT to believe about the holiday seasonThe November decision that sets up a powerful Q1If this episode lit a fire in you or gave you clarity on how to finish strong, screenshot it and tag me on Instagram @itsraquelq.And if you're ready to scale into 2026 with real systems, real support, and the confidence of a true Agent CEO, DM me the word "AgentCEO" — I'll send you the details on our coaching, community, and plug-and-play tools that help you build like a CEO, not just hustle like a salesperson.---Thank you for joining me on this episode of The Raquel Show, and remember, keep pushing your limits to achieve your goals. For updates and collaborations or opportunities, go to www.LetsPlayBigger.comFind more resources on our websitehttps://raquelq.com/podcast/Follow Raquel on Raquel Quinet's socials:Instagram | YouTube | Facebook | LinkedInCheck Out Our2025 Play Bigger EventsApply to be in our Play Bigger MastermindGrow Your Real Estate Business with Real BrokerageJoin our Facebook Play Bigger Community
This episode is one of the most emotional and personal ones I've ever recorded. Last week, I watched my son step onto a Division 1 basketball court for the very first time — a dream he's chased for years… and a dream many said he would never reach. As I sat in the stands with 15,000 people around us, tears just fell. Not because of the game, but because I realized something powerful: our kids are always watching — even when we think they're not.In this episode, I open up about the unseen moments, the sacrifices, and the grit behind a dream that had every reason not to work… but did. And as I reflected on Bryce's journey, I realized that so much of who he became came from what he witnessed at home — the way I handled pressure, adversity, setbacks, and the work no one applauded. This isn't just about sports or parenting. This is about entrepreneurship. Leadership. Legacy. And the truth we often forget: we model our kids' default settings. If you're building a business, raising a driven kid, or stretching for the life you know you're meant for — this episode will hit home.✨ Things I Cover in This EpisodeHow our kids absorb our habits, reactions, and resilienceThe behind-the-scenes grind that built a D1 athleteWhat entrepreneurship and sports have in common (hint: everything)Why growth filters your circle — and why that's a giftThe real difference between teaching grit and living itHow to protect your energy and vision when others doubt youThree things you can do this week to model leadership at home and in businessIf this episode speaks to you, share it with a parent, an entrepreneur, or someone chasing a bold dream. In this episode of The Raquel Show, I'm diving deep into what truly makes a coaching relationship powerful.I'll share how my first high-level coaching investment completely shifted my mindset (spoiler: it wasn't because of a “secret formula”) — and the three phases that determine whether you'll see real results or stay stuck in the same cycle. If you've ever wondered why some people seem to grow so much faster — this episode will reveal the real difference between those who succeed and those who don't.Things I Cover:
