As we near the end of the 2021 summer season, Party Favorz is cooling things down with our latest Chill Out session, Summer Farewell. This set features a wide variety of laidback styles including Deep House, Electronica, Lounge, NuJazz, Minimal and Progressive House to help you slow down and prepare for Fall. Granted, the summer weather seems to be lasting longer and longer these days. In Georgia, we used to get a taste of Fall in late August but the last several years, the cooling weather doesn't show up until late September or October before jumping right into winter weather. Fall has always been my favorite time of the year but it just keeps getting shorter and shorter. Take note that I finally used the massive summer sleeper hit "Love Tonight" by Shouse. If you wonder why there are so many different versions of this track out there using the same refrain, it's because of this song — included here — in it's original darker Indie groove form with the full vocals. The song itself has taken on a life of its own and will end up being in the Top 10 of the years best Dance Club songs (likely the Vintage Culture version). We have two tracks from newcomer Rosko who just happens to be my nephew. Other than he used to DJ parties in college, I'm not sure where this came from because his gig is graphic design and advertising. I'm excited for him and look forward to hearing more of his work in the future. I might suggest he ad the album to Beatport, Traxsource, JunoDownload and Amazon Music as well and select tracks on Kings of Spin for greater exposure. To a certain extend almost bipolar.   Puxi (浦东) (West of Pu): the “old and traditional” Shanghai, unlike Pudong, Puxi is vibrant, beaming of culture and style. Both hip and representative of the best a very confident China can offer. The place to be and the place to go out and find the best a modern metropolis has to offer. Very cool.   Set got a life of its own as I progressed. Until track 6 “The One You Left Behind” a melodic, dark progressive set and then ... it started building up. Chinese Chills Ep.1 (30 hours to nowhere)   Happy Birthday Denise! Told you.. I’ll House you!   Downtempo Progressive house with a hint of Nu-Disco.   Not referring to real Chill out but to the fact that I mixed those upcoming sets whilst travelling in China. The trip was horrid, when murphy’s law being the default mode. Furthermore, it was cold, chilling, freezing cold hence the title of the series.   First episode was mixed during a 30 hours’ period, with 5 connections for a itinerary, which really ought to have taken half the time. Tired, pissed off and needing some soothing music.   But if anything, this tempo 120/121 is my chill tempo. We are not talking about Chill Out Enya’s style but the type music I want to listen to in a hotel room, doing some work, relaxing but still needing a beat and yes sometimes a nu-disco beat.   The underlying theme being trying to “House You” around new progressive tunes and a few new take on classic tunes.   Hope you like it, a few new uploads coming your way very soon.
