It's official: AHSOKA Season 2 releases on January 20, 2026! The reveal was made at D23 (i.e. the Disney convention), and along with the release date, they also blessed us with the first trailer for the show! This was a jampacked trailer featuring, Force Ghost Anakin Skywalker, flashbacks of Anakin and Ahsoka during the Clone Wars (who is that guy wielding the teal lightsaber?!), Ezra and Zeb reunion, B-WINGS!, space battles, NIGHTSISTERS, and the bluest daddy of them all: THRAWN.It' a lot more than we were expecting and changed our plans from discussing THE NINTH JEDI. Today we return after a small vacation to discuss all the vibes from this trailer, what we liked, what we're dubious about, and most important of all: is Thrawn's wig better this time around?• • •TRIAD Of The FORCE is a STAR WARS+ podcast hosted by Gus, Nani, Nad, & Chase—Puerto Rican and queer creators sharing deep dives, and heartfelt conversations from a galaxy far, far away. A new Jedi Order rises from the ashes of Coruscant. Patrick Mason, Kathryn Laffrey, and Jeff Haecker break down "The Ninth Jedi, Episode 1: A New Threat" — plus the freshly dropped *Ahsoka* Season 2 trailer. The post The Ninth Jedi, Episode 1: A New Threat appeared first on StarQuest Media.
How much power does the First Order actually have, and how much is projection? (And does it even matter?)These are the central questions of our recap of the final Star Wars: Resistance episodes before Episode VII, The Force Awakens: “The New Trooper” and “The Core Problem” (Season 1, Episodes 16–17).We try to understand the shape of the First Order, the scope of their power, and how much influence they have based on fear and intimidation vs. actual military force. We also wonder how many First Order troops are true believers, and how many have been indoctrinated to the cause.Want more Growing Up Skywalker? Margrave Juro's mission takes him and Kara to Binbin while Nawaam prepares to unleash his super weapon on the galaxy in the second episode of The Ninth Jedi. In this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, we discuss: Our overall non-spoiler thoughts on "A Secret Weapon," How Margrave Juro's quest to recruit allies is a bit like King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Similarities between this episode of The Ninth Jedi and Lord of the Rings (plus a *shocking* confession from Jay), The "incident" that lead to Lah Zhima's banishment from Binbin, Our thoughts on what Lah Zhima's motivation might be, Who Nawaam is and how he reminds us of other Star Wars villains, and Nawaam's Kyber Crystal Cannon. On this episode, Dominic, Ben, and Joel break down the new animated series Star Wars Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi in both spoiler-free and spoiler-full terms. They share their thoughts on Kara's journey, Nawaam as a villain, and this unique vision of the Star Wars galaxy. On this episode we check out the new Star Wars anime The Ninth Jedi, the continuation of the fan favorite short from the 2021 Star Wars Visions Anthology, following a band of rebel Jedi as they try to gather allies to fight off the threat of (you guessed it) space fascists. Star Wars: The Ninth Jedi. Matt and John have their full review of The Ninth Jedi, the first full-length Star Wars: Visions series. Was this bold new take on the Star Wars galaxy worthwhile? They ask:- Is canon-adjacent a worthwhile pursuit in a canon-obsessed era?- Did John's formative childhood love for anime inform his review?- Does this philosophically align with George Lucas' vision of Star Wars?- Will this appeal to a wide enough viewer base?Your favorite Jedi Masters ponder all those questions and more, and point to other canon-adjacent reinterpretations of Lucas' vision have worked in the past.HostJohn Mills and Matthew RushingIf you're looking for the best Star Wars podcast to hear spirited discussions that embrace the fun of the Galaxy Far, Far Away with none of the fandom baggage, you found it! First up, the Nerds catch up with Rene and get his fresh take on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Then, the crew dives into the release of Star Wars Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi to share their initial thoughts. While most of the gang is enjoying it so far, one Nerd might be a bit too critical—so, is it actually worth the watch? That sparks a bigger debate: are we slipping back into Star Wars fatigue, or is there still incredible content on the horizon like Star Wars: Maul Shadow Lord keeping the hype alive? From there, with so much TV to catch up on, the Nerds try to convince Rene to finally check out Spider-Noir (can you believe he hasn't seen it yet?!). Naturally, that leads into a massive tangent about Nicolas Cage and his iconic filmography as the gang breaks down their personal favorites. Finally, a walk down classic cinema leads into a discussion on essential war movies and which ones they would recommend watching first—all this and more!

On this episode, Ben and Chris are on the ground at Rebel Scum Con 2026 with long-time friend of the show Jeff White and Tales From Beyond the Galaxy host Jordan Chaffer. They all join Dominic (from home) to preview this weekend's festivities and talk through all the latest happenings in Star Wars. Dominic and Chris also share their (spoiler-free) thoughts on the first two episodes of The Ninth Jedi. Plus, Josh D'Amaro talks about the impact of The Mandalorian and Grogu, and the guys speculate about how much of the movie's events will be referenced in season two of Ahsoka. All this and much more!
Would you give up your name to save your life, if a tyrant demanded it first? Matthew Fox and Erin McGowan open Star Wars Generations' new episode-by-episode watch-through of Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi with exactly that question, then dig into the animated premiere: a girl named Kara hunting for her captured father, and a warlord named Nawaam commanding an army behind a lightsaber that stubbornly refuses to turn red.Matthew argues the show undercuts its own premise by introducing Jedi-trained fighters too soon, while Erin pushes back that the scarcity was always about lost lightsabers, not lost Jedi. They also dig into whether Nawaam genuinely believes he's still the hero, and whether Kara's father is really collaborating with his captors or playing a longer game. If a blade that's supposed to expose evil won't turn red for a tyrant, what does that make him?Full show notes and resources**************************************************************************This episode is a production of Star Wars Generations, an Ethical Panda podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network.
