Today's episode is a review of an interesting article that I just had to share with the community. It touches on young people navigating their sex lives & how society tends to push sexual trends that can be harmful, especially to young women. It makes me wonder, how many of our bedroom kinks are really our own? Read the full article here. A recent New York Times article was titled “The Troubling Trend in Teenage Sex”. Before I even clicked, I knew what that troubling trend was since I had recently attended a medical conference where I heard a lecture from Dr. Debbie Herbenick about the increasing numbers of young adults who were including CHOKING as part of their sexual repertoire. Today I am having a conversation with Dr. Herbenick about how common this practice has become, why it is problematic, along with other current trends in sexual practices across America, and in all age groups. What SEXUAL PLEASURE looks like and if that has changed over the years What SPECIFICALLY is HAPPENING when someone incorporates “choking” into their sexual practice HOW COMMON this practice is If this is CONSENSUAL If CHOKING is common off college campuses The short- and long-term MEDICAL CONSEQUENCES of choking WHAT PARENTS of teens and young adults NEED to KNOW HOW TO TALK TO YOUR TEEN and young adult about difficult topics If people have DIED from this practice The LEGAL PROSPECTIVE of rough sex Dr. Herbenick's NEW RESEARCH on SEX TOYS and vibrator use If the ORGASM GAP is narrowing among adult men and women INNOVATIVE SEX TOYS such as The Womanizer If sexual practices today mirror what is seen in PORNOGRAPHY As people AGE, do they watch more or less porn? Kvinder, vel at mærke. Her bliver det unormale normalt. Choking er omtalt i New York Times i artiklen "Opinion: The Troubling Trend in Teenage Sex" fra 12. april 2024. I podcasten omtales også bogen: What about men fra 2023 af Caitlin Morrran

We have a doozy for you today. A teenage sex cult, run by pedophile Mexican music producer, Sergio Andrade, and his biggest star, Gloria Trevi. Sergio was VERY good at developing female pop acts in Mexico. He had several platinum artists under his belt, and he was very well respected. Everything he touched turned to gold platinum. He was a gifted musician, and producer, and he had a knack for finding every client's individual strong spot, and he would bring this out in them. His record speaks for itself. But, if that's all he did, he wouldn't be featured on CKCB. He had a taste for underage girls, and married one of his acts. He was also an abusive tyrant prick. But once he discovered Gloria Trevi, and she became Mexico's top selling pop act of all time, he used his resume to entice many more young girls into his clutches, under the promise that he would “make them a star!” Before too long, he had a harem of girls that he was physically and sexually abusing, and he became the target of an international manhunt. One of his ‘clients' who got the hell away from him was instrumental in bringing him down. Her courage is very admirable. Join us as we tell this riveting and unbelievable story.

To prepare for our series called Fangirls and Boy Bands, we are heading back to the fantastical realm of the teenager and the reactionary moral panics their sex lives have inspired since the days of the Puritans. In this episode, pay special attention to the invention of the teenager in the 1920s and 40s as well as the way the small revolutions that music and dance were able to incite, and then come back next week when we will break down the archetype of hysterical fangirl and see how these seas of swooners were seen as both ridiculous and extremely dangerous to the very fabric of America. Welcome to the first 2022 episode of the Beauty After Betrayal™ podcast! This year I'm leaning in to some exciting, scintillating, and thought-provoking discussions, teachings, and inspirations around... wait for it... SEX.Yes - sex! And Your Big Sexy Comeback! And you finally getting out of your head, and into your body!Thank you for listening over these past nine months to this incredible passion project of mine that has continued to grow thanks to all of you, and will continue to evolve as I do.Betrayal will always be a big part of what I do because so many women have experienced it.And the more I look at my own story, do my own work, and help women who are healing from betrayal... the more I see that the betrayal itself is merely a symptom of the bigger narrative... of each of our bigger story arcs.So as we move into 2022, you are going to see that more of what I do, speak to, and teach on, will be centered around how we get out of our heads and into our bodies. Because I truly believe that our pleasures and our desires directly correlate to our power: in our lives, our relationships, at work, at home... everywhere! As long as we are disconnected from our bodies, our pleasure and our power, we cannot fully thrive. In this episode, I talk more about these big shifts, along with my own five pivotal stories of what happened to me throughout my life that led me to where I am today.Tune in, buckle up, and let me tell you all about it. Fairly deep discussions on movies that may not appear to warrant them. Keri and Skipper embrace the awkward of horny teen flicks.
It's Friday, Michael's been in DC, and he comes home just to get a Sonic Diet Coke. What does he encounter, a manager who's ticked off about teenagers smoking marijuana, and having sex in his establishment. Seriously? Yep.

In 1996, Scream taught American teenagers the first rule to surviving a horror movie. Never, ever have sex. Classic slasher movies have their roots in an urban legend we all heard growing up: a guy and a girl are parked on a deserted lover’s lane making out while a hook-handed killer is on the loose. The 2000s gave us urban legends about dangerous teen sex games, Rainbow parties and sex bracelets, as well as bans on high school dances over grinding and twerking, and with the recent outrage over teen sexting, it seems that kids these days are out of control. But since the invention of the American teenager, rumor and outrage has swirled around this reckless developmental stage. Through looking at the start of teenage culture in the 1920s, when risqué dance trends and controversial make-out parties scandalized the nation, we’ll find the roots of these modern moral panics, and see how our battles around sex education have left them in an uneducated limbo, creating suburban legends to make sense of their parents’ utter horror at their private lives. Brianna and Patrick are dedicated to questioning and exploring their faith in big ways, and today we’ll talk about their changes of heart as young Christians, what the the Bible says about homosexuality in its historical context, and how the philosophy of queerness just might help save the Christian faith. Teen dating has changed over the years and the violence in teen dating is on the rise.
