That survival moment became the foundation of everything she teaches. She reveals how looking backward to make sense of past struggles helps you build faith in your ability to handle future challenges. Her techniques apply to money stress, career setbacks, relationship strain, and self-doubt. The takeaway: every difficult moment is just one brick leading you toward something you cannot see yet.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Send a textWelcome to season 5 of the Another Way To See It Podcast. On this episode we talk about how we are marked and changed by surviving life's hardest experiences and what that asks of us. The fairy tale ends with happily ever after, the heroine's journey with the return; the brevity of both of those ways of ending stories do a disservice to what we're actually here on Earth to do. The return is a long and laborious process. In fact, the process of integration and then living the lesson is the hardest part of the journey when our patterns are so deeply established and our culture rewards our default settings. This short episode is packed with hard truths and imbued with hope. Please reach out we love to hear from you, and please support our podcast by liking it on whatever platform you listen, sending it to a friend, and if possible donating. We live in the “already but not yet” of God's Kingdom. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has defeated the serpent and secured redemption. Yet the world still waits for the day He returns to fully restore all things. God promises to renew creation, bring heaven to earth, dwell with His people, and remove everything that causes pain, loss, and death. This future hope is not meant to make us passive, but purposeful. It shapes how we live now: faithful to Jesus, hopeful in suffering, and committed to God's mission in the world.Billy LileSunday, January 25, 2026 Live at 11:15 AM

Past hurts, disappointments, and years of small offenses can pile up like rust on a bolt—locking our hearts in place until we can't budge them ourselves. So what do we do? Join us as we discuss practical ways to pursue reconciliation with family this holiday season.

2023's greenest night started with Mr & Mrs. DTW getting a chance to listen in on us recording our episodes with Jim & Elaine. We then head to a pre-party dinner with Stacy & Brett, Mr & MrsDTW, Jim & Elaine, Echo & Falcon. Back at the Sexpartment, we change where sneakers replaced heels before heading to the club. One lap around the club, Echo suggests to a wide-eyed younger couple the magic word: orgy. They might not join, but 10 of us do and Elaine wastes zero time dropping between Nessa's thighs while Jim's already tangled with strangers. MrsDTW calls shots like a swinger Spielberg; Falcon rails Nessa while Elaine rides her face. Cross-talk, blindfolds, and the first squirt tsunami hits when Elaine unloads on Jim. Then G finger-blasts her into a room-crossing geyser that freezes eight other mid-thrust bodies in awe. Post-nut, the room's a puddle. The other couple bolts for a shower. Falcon yanks on G's boxers, frowns “these don't feel right.” Echo hand him his own pair and Falcon returns them to G soaked. Underwear swap = official. Back at the bar, Curtis & Racheal, Grant & Morgan, Rock & Mandy, everyone lipstick-smeared and grinding. Ride home with Jim & Elaine in the backseat, crossing birthday fantasies off a very sticky list. Email your questions to Nessa here to be part of "Ask Nessa". Meb Faber, chief investment officer at the Cambria Funds, says that "extremely high valuations are a weight that's hard to overcome," and that the United States is currently "the most expensive country across the board." He notes that when a country ends the year with a price/earnings ratio above 40, the average future 10-year returns are zero. As a result, Faber is suggesting that investors diversify internationally, consider gold — which her describes as being "like your crazy cousin Eddie" coming to the family holiday party — and more. David Trainer, founder and president at New Constructs, says that companies can manipulate earnings numbers in ways that keep investors interested, but which make future earnings misses most likely, and he puts those stocks that are likely to miss earnings in "The Danger Zone." Trainer says that 72 members of the Standard & Poor's 500 are currently overstating earnings by 10 percent or more. Trainer singled out NRG Energy, which has street estimates of 35 cents per share, but which he says is more likely to generate 6 cents per share in profits. Chip Lupo discusses the 2025 Early Holiday Shopping Survey from WalletHub, which showed that nearly half of American consumers aren't waiting for Halloween to start their holiday shopping, but rather they will begin this month (if they haven't started already).

Living with Confidence: Knowing How the Story Ends explores how understanding Jesus's promised return transforms our daily lives. Just as the Y2K panic dissolved once we knew the outcome, Christians can face life's challenges with confidence knowing Christ will return. The message examines Acts 1 and other scriptures confirming Jesus will return personally, literally, and visibly—the same Jesus who walked on earth will come back in the same way He left. For those wondering about the 2,000-year wait, 2 Peter 3 explains that God exists outside of time, and His apparent delay is actually divine patience, giving more people the opportunity to turn to Him. This understanding should reshape our priorities in five key ways: helping us recognize what's truly important versus what's trivial, encouraging us to live as pilgrims rather than permanent residents, aligning our actions with our beliefs, using our time wisely for kingdom purposes, and viewing our current struggles through the lens of eternal hope. The message offers practical applications for examining priorities, simplifying possessions, evaluating spiritual readiness, and sharing hope with others.
Knowing the end of the story should affect how you live today.Reading Plan: Old Testament - 1 Kings 1Psalms - Psalm 69:29-36Gospels - Mark 13:32-37New Testament - 1 Corinthians 15:35-58Visit https://www.revivalfromthebible.com/ for more information.

Yellowjackets features some of the very best ensemble casting across the board, but there's no denying we got an extra special duo in Liv Hewson and Lauren Ambrose. At the start of the Showtime and Paramount+ series, Van Palmer was not meant to make it out of the wilderness alive. However, thanks to Hewson's screen presence and creative spark, it became abundantly clear that they deserved more time to shine. Not only did the showrunners shift gears and have Van survive the wolf attack in Season 1, Episode 7, but at the start of Season 2, they revealed that Van makes it home from wilderness with the introduction of Ambrose's present-day version of the character. From that point on, we've enjoyed a breathtaking level of connectivity between the two actors. However, as of Season 3, Episode 9, “How the Story Ends,” the time of Van Palmer being a dual role has ended. The character doesn't succumb to her cancer diagnosis, but rather, is stabbed by Hilary Swank's present-day Melissa. It's a crushing end for a fan-favorite character, one that Ambrose admits, doesn't offer closure, but because it was never meant to. However, Ambrose herself has found peace in the feeling that she “was just handing [Van] back to Liv.”With all of Yellowjackets Season 3 available to stream on Paramount+, and with the show's Emmy campaign picking up steam, I got the opportunity to welcome Ambrose to Collider Ladies Night. During our 40-minute chat, we revisited some pivotal moments of her career, many of which pointed toward a deep appreciation of the rehearsal process. And, it turns out, that love of rehearsing is what helped her and Swank figure out how to play Van's death and deliver a scene that feels “crackling and real and exciting and weird.” Hosted on Acast.
