We put foot to audio ass not once, not twice, but thrice this past weekend on the mighty Radio NL 610 AM Kamloops; and now we proudly present this, the podcast version of our latest broadcast... From The Basement! And Jason and Shawn have more -- like eight minutes more -- of their interview with writer/director Greg Lamberson! Greg, who is best known for low-budget horror like Slime City Massacre, is making an action movie called Guns of Eden, and he's taken to IndieGoGo to get the film financed. Why? What's the movie about? How can you help get it made? You'll have to tune in to find out! He and Jason also take a few minutes to discuss the post-COVID cinema landscape. It's a great chat for genre and movie fans! But that's not all; Last week Jason and Shawn talked the DMC -- Dumbest Moment in Cinema -- when it came to a scene in Gerard Butler's movie Greenland. Given all the years people have been making and watching movies, there has to be more than one dumb moment in cinema, right? Right! And this week, the Dynamic Duo count down their Top 5 Dumbest Moments in Cinema! What are they? How about you push play on the handy, dandy podcast player! Stick with us!

This week we talk about Greg Lamberson's Slime City A student moves into a run-down building in New York City. His bizarre neighbors make a concoction in their apartment they call wine, but when he takes some of it, he turns into a deformed, murderous monster. And Slime City Massacre In the wake of a "dirty bomb" attack, a New York City neighborhood known as "Slime City" has been evacuated, except for the homeless ("displaced refugees"). Four squatters searching for food in the ruins of the Zachary Devon Soup Kitchen (Jennifer Bihl, Kealan Patrick Burke, Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins) discover a supply of Zachary Devon's Home Brewed Elixir and Himalayan Yogurt. When they drink the elixir and eat the yogurt, they are transformed into hideous slime creatures driven to murder - an intermediate step as they are possessed by the spirits of Zachary Devon (Robert Sabin) and the members of his Coven of Flesh, who committed suicide years earlier. When a greedy developer (Roy Frumkes) sets his sites on Slime City, he hires a team of mercenaries (Nelron Hubbard, Tommy Sweeney, T.J. Merrick, Eric Mache, and Nicholas John Morgan Anderson) to wipe out the homeless population. It's a battle royal between the Slime Heads, the mercenaries, and bloodthirsty mutant cannibals! A loving tribute to the over the top splatter films of the 1980s, featuring Brooke Lewis, Mary Bogle, and Lloyd Kaufman. Happy Halloween, Dreadites! As always, we've got a killer episode for you to hunker down and avoid the sugar-crazed ghouls lurking your neighborhood this week. First up, one of our oldest friends, Greg Lamberson, is back to chat about what he's got going on, namely The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival; Blu-ray releases of Killer Rack, Slime City, and Slime City Massacre; and the film that's been more than three decades in the making: Johnny Gruesome. Then, Rich the Monster Movie Kid reviews the brand new anthology film Tales of Halloween. Finally, it's been four years since Duane and Desmond discussed all of The Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" episodes to date. So, they decided to finish them off, including the brand new 600th episode and the first non-"Treehouse of Horror" episode of the show that deals with Halloween. It's a blast. And every Halloween party needs music: "Ritual" by Ghost, "Gruesome" by Gruesome, "Tales of Halloween" by Jimmy Psycho, "Grownup Halloween" by the cast of The Simpsons, and "Halloween" by Mastodon. Brooke has been in a slew of horror films such as iMurders, Kinky Killers, Alien Dawn, and Slime City Massacre. She has also developed her character Ms. Vampy as part of a popular TV series. Listen in horror fans as she takes a bite out of both Tim and Wayne... Brooke on IMDB
