À l'occasion de l'exposition "Femmes photographes de guerre" - Paris, Musée de la Libération - qui présente les oeuvres de huit femmes photographes reconnues qui ont couvert 75 ans de conflits internationaux entre 1936 et 2011, je vous propose dans cet épisode une rencontre avec l'une de ces huit femmes aux parcours exceptionnels : Christine Spengler. Christine Spengler a couvert 14 conflits - Cambodge, Liban, Sahara Occidental, Nicaragua, Salvador, Iran, Afghanistan… - et ses photos, publiées par toute la presse internationale, ont fait le tour du monde. Pendant plusieurs décennies, elle travaille pour Life, Paris-Match, El Pais, le New-York Times, El Mundo, les agences Associated Press, Sipa-Press, Sygma… Sa célèbre photo du bombardement de Phnom Penh est actuellement sur les murs de Paris, c'est la photo de l'affiche de l'exposition "Femmes photographes de guerre".Dès le début et tout au long de sa carrière, Christine Spengler a refusé le sensationnalisme : "L'important dans la guerre, dit-elle, ce ne sont pas les morts, ce sont les survivants." et c'est pour "témoigner des causes justes" qu'elle a parcouru la planète, gardant sa capacité d'indignation toujours intacte.Aujourd'hui, Christine Spengler est toujours photographe, toujours du côté des opprimés.
