This week I am taking a break from the Bolivian Backpackers Series and free ballin' it. It has been quite some time since I podcasted without a plan and I had a great time tonight just opening my mouth and seeing where my mind would wander. This week I offer advice to make a crazy person, share my surface level thoughts and observations from my first week back in the United States since last October, coming home for my cornhole championship trophy, haunted basements (parts of this story are untrue), retiring as a Federal Podcaster, running out of money, reintegration, and whole lot of things, some questions left unanswered. **I have to put it on record! How could I forget taking my first yoga class at TruFusion in Las Vegas with the teacher, and studio, and friends where yoga all started for me. It made me so happy the moment I realized how comfortable I was in that setting.

Kelley and Emily sit down with local business owner Simon Lusky. Revel Kitchen all began in 2010 when Simon and Angelica moved to St. Louis for Simon to work as the Cardinals’ team chef. In 2012, the two began a side business out of their home preparing healthy meals for St. Louis Blues players and other elite athletes. As word of mouth spread, so did the need for production space. The couple signed a lease on a cafe on Cherokee Street that had the kitchen space they needed to prepare meals for athletes and also an eat-in area, which they called Athlete Eats. In 2015, the two decided to switch up their prepared-meal model and transition to a Brentwood location. The restaurant reopened as Revel Kitchen to welcome all foodies, not just athletes. Two years later, a second location opened in Clayton. What is Revel Kitchen? How To Buy A Franchise Show | Dr. John Hayes provides insight on how to buy and operate a franchise
A money guy and a fitness guy met in Las Vegas one day and created a group fitness concept that provides Millennials with four studios under one roof! TruFusion franchises offer 240 classes per week in 65 fitness modalities. Want yoga? There are 16 types offered at TruFusion. More yoga, says Donald Averritt, vice president of development, than what any yoga franchise offers! Franchising for almost two years, TruFusion has sold 65 franchise units at an all in cost of about $1.2 million. Of the units sold, only three were open at the time of this interview because finding a location and building a unit is a nine to 12 month process. By year-end 2017 TruFusion anticipates having a dozen units open around the USA. Averritt says the "secret sauce” for this franchise is its monthly membership fee: $100. Each of the three open units has more than 2,000 members and most are Millennial females. If fitness is your idea of the perfect franchise, TruFusion may be your answer.
