September 2011 Podcast - For DJ bookings email bookings@progressivebeats.co.uk This is my first real podcast release! Some new tunes on here and some that are just new to me... I'm really enjoying the music coming from the Swiss Progressive House scene at the moment, especially the stuff from the artists on Unreleased Digital so this mix has a few tunes from artists on that label. I'm also loving the work of Jerome Isma-Ae lately, I've only just recently become aware of him but I really like his style of Progressive House - which is why a lot of the tunes on here are by/remixed by him. The Astrix remix of Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap is a tune that was brought to my attention by a friend recently. It's really a trance track but it pitches down quite nicely to slot into a Progressive House set. За 6 лет Waterdance приобрел статус крупнейшего танцевального события не только в Нижнем Новгороде, но и во всем Приволжье, каждый год собирая свыше 4000 посетителей и десятки именитых артистов. Темой нынешнего года стала «Flashback», а одноименный гимн фестиваля получил право написать Alexey Sonar. Спустя четыре месяца он выходит на британском лейбле Tactal Hots Music в составе сингла с ремиксами от Louder Dale и Ben Coda. Проект Louder Dale – новое альтер эго Алексея Нефёдова, в прошлом участника проекта Rest Point, который являлся одной из ведущих транс-команд в России. За его плечами огромный опыт по написанию собственных треков и ремиксов, выпуску регулярных радиошоу, а также компилированию CD-миксов. Ben Coda – молодой британский продюсер, сторонник тек и прогрессив хаус звучания. Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age. It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer. After a long ride of experimenting, he ended up with a bunch of tracks. “This sound will make me famous”; he thought. He went to different record companies and tried to sell his stuff, but the answers were always: “Please, close the door when you leave!” So, Daniel went back to his small bedroom studio, made another bunch of tracks and along the way he stumbled into the porn industry. He played in different adult movies in order to pay his rent, but in the bottom of his heart, he always knew that one day he would become a huge music producer. In 2006 he met Chris Reece, label owner of Unreleased Digital. All the years spent in his room producing his music finally paid off. Chris called Daniel only to ask him: “Where should I send the contract to?” In April 2007, his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Because of the big response to his debut-track, Daniel started producing new material. Shortly after, in June 2007, his follow up EP “I never Sleep / Essence” was released. Based on his success in 2007 he's already a wanted name when it comes to remix requests. His version of Chris Reece's “The Fall” has become the main mix of the successful single released through MYLO Recordings in December 2007. Further he only just delivered a remix for "Sultan & Ned Shepard” titled “One Day” released on Canadian label Harem. Rated in the top 100 Beatport Artist Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age. It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer. After a long ride of experimenting, he ended up with a bunch of tracks. “This sound will make me famous”; he thought. He went to different record companies and tried to sell his stuff, but the answers were always: “Please, close the door when you leave!” So, Daniel went back to his small bedroom studio, made another bunch of tracks and along the way he stumbled into the porn industry. He played in different adult movies in order to pay his rent, but in the bottom of his heart, he always knew that one day he would become a huge music producer. In 2006 he met Chris Reece, label owner of Unreleased Digital. All the years spent in his room producing his music finally paid off. Chris called Daniel only to ask him: “Where should I send the contract to?” In April 2007, his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Because of the big response to his debut-track, Daniel started producing new material. Shortly after, in June 2007, his follow up EP “I never Sleep / Essence” was released. Based on his success in 2007 he's already a wanted name when it comes to remix requests. His version of Chris Reece's “The Fall” has become the main mix of the successful single released through MYLO Recordings in December 2007. Further he only just delivered a remix for "Sultan & Ned Shepard” titled “One Day” released on Canadian label Harem.
