Za koncert kot je bil prejšnjo sredo (25. 2. 2026 v Gallusovi dvorani Cankarjevega doma) v sklopu Zlatega abonmaja, ni prav lahko najti besed, ki bi zares slikovito opisale glasbeno dogajanje. Tokrat je bil gost Budimpeški koncertni simfonični orkester, ansambel z več kot stoletno tradicijo, katerega vodstvo je pred dvajsetimi leti prevzel violinist András Keller, ustanovitelj priznanega godalnega Kvarteta Keller. Orkester, ki se sicer pogosto posveča tudi izvedbam sodobnega repertoarja, je za tokratni koncert izbral dve deli iz obdobja romantike. Tako je v prvem delu večera z madžarskimi gosti nastopil poljski pianist Rafał Blechacz, čigar pianistična pot je bila že pred dvajsetimi leti okronana z zmago na znamenitem Chopinovem klavirskem tekmovanju. Tokrat se je predstavil z izvedbo Chopinovega Prvega klavirskega koncerta, mladostnega dela, ki ga je skladatelj napisal pri komaj dvajsetih letih. Pianist je s svojo igro izrisal izrazito svojstveno umetniško držo, ki se je skozi vrhunsko tehnično preciznost kazala v izredni občutljivosti tonskega podajanja, nad katero bdi jasno strukturirana interpretacija. Chopinova partitura v pianistovih rokah ni zvenela sentimentalno, temveč izrazito prečiščeno, v tem pogledu skoraj asketsko. Sicer občudovanja vredna igra, ki pa spominja na strogo zaščiteno umetnino, zaradi česar se ji ni mogoče povsem približati. Blechaczova igra se namreč ne bohoti navzven, zato verjetno zahteva izrazito tenkočutnega poslušalca, kar se je izkazalo tudi v izvedbi izbranega dodatka – Chopinovega Valčka v cis-molu, op. 64, št. 2. Ta posebnost pianistovega izraza, ki je blizu apolinični lepoti, pa hkrati potrebuje temu primernega orkestrskega sopotnika. Zdi se, da je dirigent András Keller izoblikoval jasno idejo o sicer spremljevalni vlogi orkestra, ki jo narekuje partitura. Tako se je učinkovito izognil nevarnosti, da bi se igra orkestra spremenila v megleno ozadje. Skupaj s solistom je namreč gradil napetosti v virtuoznejših odsekih in na drugi strani nudil subtilno podlago pianistovi igri. Pri tem so zvočno še posebej blestela godala, fagot in sekcija rogov pa so bili naravnost odlični v polnitvi zvočne barve in dialogih s klavirjem. Druga posebna zgodba tega večera, za opis katere bi zares potrebovali poeta, je izvedba Četrte simfonije Čajkovskega, ob kateri zastane dih. To štiristavčno simfonično delo je odsev skladateljevih globokih čustvenih pretresov – leta 1877 se je nepremišljeno poročil in doživljal še globlje duševne stiske, ki jih je v pismih zaupal svoji mecenki, Nadeždi von Meck, s katero sta imela precej nenavadno razmerje. Prav njej je simfonijo posvetil, v pismih pa razkril vsebino dela – razmišljal je o usodi kot neizogibni življenjski sili. Te ponazarjajoče začetne fanfare so kot usodni klic presekale prostor. Večkrat vračajoča se glavna misel v prvem stavku, je vedno znova zazvenela z žlahtno barvo trobil, ki so se izkazala kot mogočen zvočni steber orkestra. Naravnost blestela je sekcija rogov, imenitni so bili posamezni pihalci v solističnih vlogah ali prinašanju motivov, godala pa so z zvočno večplastnostjo poskrbela, da je orkester utripal v gradnjah napetosti na eni strani in prosojno milino na drugi. Po liričnem, melanholičnem, dih jemajočem drugem stavku, smo odprtih ust opazovali v piko natančne pizzicate v karakterno igranem Scherzu. V izvajalsko zahtevnem Finalu pa so glasbeniki dokončno potrdili, da gre za ansambel, ki čustveno intenzivne in tehnično zahtevne izzive presega s čisto lahkoto. Pod črto – gre za izvajalsko telo, ki ga odlikuje večplastno, živo in angažirano muziciranje, ki temelji na poslušanju in medsebojnem odzivanju. Orkester, ki je z izvajalskim elanom, homogeno in neoporečno igro sledil skupnemu umetniškemu cilju. Dirigentska persona Andrása Kellerja – z občutkom za detajl, dialog med glasovi in notranjo napetost posameznih linij – verjetno izvira iz njegovega udejstvovanja v komorni glasbi. In vendar je eden redkih, ki mu uspe isto ustvariti tudi z večjim korpusom – s simfoničnim orkestrom. To je bila interpretacija simfonične zgodbe Čajkovskega, ki bo še dolgo odzvanjala ali pa celo za vedno ostala v naboru poslušalskih spominov.

In this week's conversation between Dr. James Emery White and co-host Alexis Drye, they discuss the results of a multi-year study of about 24,000 church attenders that was conducted by the Hartford Institute for Religion Research. The goal was to examine their church engagement. A particular finding stood out, which was that 46% of those 24,000 churchgoers reported active engagement with more than one church. For purposes of the study, they defined “active engagement” as attending in person, watching online or on TV, or taking part in both physical and virtual offerings. So this begs the question: What drives people to want to participate in a variety of church services? Představitelé německých tajných služeb tu plné tři hodiny odpovídali na otázky členů parlamentního výboru pro kontrolu činnosti těchto bezpečnostních služek Spolkové republiky. Nejvíc politiky zajímalo právě Rusko, o němž se mluvilo od samého počátku slyšení.

Německo má problém s vlastní armádou. Mělo ho v minulosti, má ho nyní a – jak se zdá – bude ho mít i v blízké budoucnosti. Kancléř Friedrich Merz slibuje, že spolková republika bude opět obranyschopná a že bude s to zajistit nejen vlastní bezpečnost, ale také výraznou měrou garantovat i bezpečnost evropskou. Jenže vzhledem k ne příliš dobrému stavu bundeswehru to jsou – diplomaticky řečeno – velmi ambiciózní plány.

Tým dobrovolníků je tam pravidelně sčítá. Chtěli jste se někdy podívat do Středozemě? Fantastický svět elfů, trpaslíků a hobitů najdete na Novém Zélandu. Černá hora nenabízí turistům jen přímořská letoviska. Zajímavou přírodu má ale i ve vnitrozemí, kde je kromě vysokých hor taky největší jezero na Balkáně. I tam zamíříme s Lubicou Bergmanovou.
