If there is one wrestler who has incredible striking ability and felt like a video game character come to life, Tajiri has a strong case to be that wrestler. His career is an intriguing one, from his start in IWA Japan to his love for Lucha taking him to CMLL and eventually his excursion to the US which saw success in ECW and eventually WWE! It's ironic that the main event was titled a Stairway to Hell match, because most of ECW was like watching pro wrestling from Hell. It wasn't all bad, though, as we got a decent ECW World Title match between Tommy Dreamer and Justin Credible, a great Four Corners match between Yoshihiro Tajiri, Mikey Whipwreck, Little Guido and Psicosis, Jerry Lynn and Steve Corino had a great match, and we've got a fantastic Six-Man Tag match. Rob Van Dam tries to drag Scotty Anton (the former Scotty Riggs) to a presentable match, Big Sal and Balls Mahoney have a turd, Rhino and Sandman beat each other up over the TV Title, and much more. In the news, we discuss the disastrous fallout of WCW Bash at the Beach 2000, a hellacious injury for Johnny "The Bull" Stamboli, a future WWE star debuting in OVW, the drama between ECW, WWF, and TNN, plus much more! For an ECW, we've done way worse and we WILL DO way worse. This one actually wasn't that bad. There were, per usual, a lot of very questional booking decisions. There were also some God awful matches and the usual ECW tropes. However, those weren't enough to drag this show down to the depths of usual ECW pay-per-views. Taz was supposed to wrestle Chris Candido in the main event, but that didn't happen because Candido and Tammy were leaving, so Heyman wanted to squash him early. So, instead, we get a thread with the Dudley Boys all night, taking out randos and then trying to take out Taz. Besides that, we got possibly the greatest RVD vs. Jerry Lynn match ever, Little Guido taking on Yoshihiro Tajiri, a special appearance by Sid, and much more! In the news, we discuss ECW's continued money woes (leading to Shane Douglas's second...or maybe third departure), WWF handing WCW their rear on a platter, WCW's booking going down the tubes while the inmates run the asylum, Gordon Solie having major health issues, and more on this week's show! Major League Wrestling (MLW) is the fastest growing wrestling league in the world, and now MLW comes to REELZ with a brand-new weekly primetime series MLW Underground Wrestling airing Tuesday nights at 10pm ET/7pm PT. Ushering in a new era of wrestling for a new generation of fans, MLW features some of the most electrifying competitors in the industry – including MLW World Champion Alex Hammerstone, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Jacob Fatu, Real1 (formerly Enzo), Taya Valkyrie, Lio Rush, Savio Vega, Yoshihiro Tajiri and many more. One of MLW's top stars is none other than John Hennigan (previously known as John Morrison in WWE). Call him the Mayor of Slamtown, the Monday Night Delight or the Shaman of Sexy, John has performed under a variety of monikers, but you can always call him “champ” as he's earned championship gold in every major wrestling promotion.
This was definitely a "we watched it so that you don't have to" type of show. Taz and Sabu get into a brawl on the show, many matches start and never finish, Sid appeared on the show to powerbomb some fools, the Dudley Boyz reveal their "mysterious benefactor," and we also had a couple of decent matches on the show. Super Crazy and Yoshihiro Tajiri locked up while Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn do battle over the TV Title to close the show. In the news, we discuss a Japanese legend passing away, memorializing the 15-year anniversary of the passing of a Mexican legend, WCW Nitro takes a week off from getting stomped by WWF Raw, the Road Dogg seeks help for his addictions, The Giant is set to start with the WWF by St. Valentines Day Massacre (now in the archives), and much more! We had some fun with this one and we think you will, too. We've got a 3-man booth yet again! This time, Kyle from The Apron Bump Podcast (ApronBump.com) joins us as we go 22 years back in the past to review ECW Anarchy Rulz! Oddly enough, this was not a terrible show. Extreme Championship Wrestling broke into Minnesota with local boy, Jerry Lynn, going for the World Title in the main event against Justin Credible. Also, the FBI defends the Tag Titles against Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri. Rhino puts his TV Title on the line against Rob Van Dam. This show has some good stuff but also it's fair share of crap, which we'll DEFINITELY have fun dumping on (no pun intended). Also, in the news, ECW's TV show has tanked, Raven jumped to WWF, WCW is a confusing damn mess and a sinking ship, and a bunch of other MMA champions fight for UFC without mentioning their other accomplishments.ALL PODCAST, SOCIAL MEDIA, & MERCHANDISE LINKS: linktr.ee/MainEventMarksCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.com & bonfire.com/store/maineventmarksGET FUELED WITH SHOCKED ENERGY: https://shockedenergy.com/collections/all?sca_ref=1814354.mOXH7RrwKh&sca_source=MainEventMarks (promo code: MainEvent for 10% off)KEEP YOUR COFFEE GIMMICK FREE AND FRESH ROASTED TO ORDER WITH COFFEE BRAND COFFEE: https://coffeebrandcoffee.com/?ref=WC7vE0tK (promo code: MAINEVENT for 5% off)GET AWESOME SPORTS T-SHIRTS: intheclutch.com/MAINEVENT (use code "MAINEVENT" for 10% off)ORDER FROM SWIFT LIFESTYLES: SwiftLifestyles.com, use PROMO CODE: MainEventMarks at checkout for 15% offLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 9PM EST: tikilive.com/channel/BURNS

It's another venture back into ECW, but this time it's when the promotion is on the down-slide. Still, there's a lot of good things including: Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible, Kid Kash, CW Anderson, FBI, Mikey Whipwreck, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Da Baldies, The Sandman, Dawn Marie, Francine and the GREAT Chris Hamrick. Plus Steve Corino gets his well deserved due, his first World Championship. Keep an eye out for Angel of Da Baldies suffering some severe burns and for Francine's posterior getting plenty of camera time during the finish of the main event. Also listen for "Tony's Nightmare" and "Tony Does Love Songs." Enjoy a "November To Remember" for many reasons. Not one, but two fantastic matches on Raw is War as Taka Michinoku takes on Yoshihiro Tajiri and Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart go one-on-one in a Winner Takes All match for the Intercontinental and European Championships. The Road Dogg and Billy Gunn have their first two proper matches as a tag team, and Jeff Jarrett makes his re-debut with the WWF and promptly (and repeatedly) buries himself on a live mic.
