Unfortunately, there was an equipment failure. The guys thought they lost all of the interviews. Turns out they didn't! Matt was able to salvage interviews with Froth Brewing, WeBe Brewing, Big Alice Brewing, Rare Form Brewing and the Executive Director of the NTSBA Paul Leon. Crab is delicious, but putting in all that work to crack open the shell to get the meat out can be frustrating as hell! Well, Jim solves that problem by serving up crab on the half shell! The crab is removed from the shell, seasoned, buttered, and that placed on a shell half ready to serve. Matt and Jim were there to speak with the brewers, the Patrons and the organizers of the festival. Patrons enjoyed beer, food, paintball and even hatchet throwing! With Jim on location, Matt and the rest of the Grill This! Podcast team attended the11th annual Rochester Real Beer Expo. And , as advertised, it was bigger and better than ever before! The Expo was held at Innovative Field, home of the Rochester Red Wings! The event is put on by the Business Association of the South Wedge Area (BASWA). The festival was huge this year with 65 breweries, cideries, kombucha producers, and other craft beverage makers. Many say that this festival kicks off the summer craft beer festival season. Matt grabs a microphone and a sampling glass, and interviews brewers, organizers, and patrons of the festival.
Matt and Jim received a wonderful suprise delivery. The original Orion Cooker! The Orion Cooker Uses 100% indirect heat to create a convection current. This means there is absolutely no cooking maintenance with drastically reduced cook times. Jim and Matt talk about how it works and the different varities Orion cookers.
