A true VI-Hundy P joins us around our own round table. Joe Marler is a former rugby union player, podcast presenter, TV personality and Traitors expert in big dog theory. He joins Nick and Angela around the Dish table to talk about his new podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now, where he puts guests to the test using his unique people-reading skills. Recorded only hours before the finale of the Traitors, we have a brilliant time with Joe in our Christmas studio. Only snag being that he isn't a big fan of Christmas... but can he be convinced by Nick's infectious love for all occasions? Joe's love of food is unwavering, with a passion for bold flavours, low-and-slow dishes... and chocolate. He is also a big fan of a Dark ‘N Stormy cocktail, and that's how we kick things off. Angela answers his low-and-slow call by serving jalapeño honey pulled pork with lime slaw, with Waitrose wine experts picking a glass of Laurent Miquel Nocturnes Viognier IGP Pays d'Oc to pair alongside it. We discuss Joe's cooking skills, and how his fondness for cake got him into trouble as a sous chef. We find out how wanting to act led him to a career in rugby, and learn that if you want to keep Joe on your good side... don't serve him cockles. In the opening of the episode, Nick and Angela try out a glass of mulled rosé and explore Angela's new, very tasty, biscuit range. CannCon, Alpha Warrior, and Cam Cooksey bring the heat in this unapologetically rowdy episode of Y-Chromes. The crew kicks off with their signature banter before diving into “Smoking with My Chromies,” where pulled pork takes center stage as the ultimate smoked meat staple. From scoring the fat cap to butter, honey, and a perfect bone-pull finish, the guys walk through every juicy detail...plus all the ways you can load it into mac and cheese or sliders. Football talk takes over with fantasy league trash talk, hot takes on coaching blunders, and game picks that go off the rails as usual. Along the way, the panel spirals into wild side conversations, ranging from race jokes and military humor to viral videos and “tight watermelon buttholes.” It's the perfect mix of food, football, and the kind of reckless comedy only Y-Chromes can deliver.

I'm a lifelong foodie who's passionate about bringing people together through bold, approachable recipes. Growing up, I spent countless hours helping make dinner, cooking fish, and baking holiday cookies with my mom. I also learned the art of smoking meat, grilling, and grinding sausage with my dad during our backyard barbecues. These moments instilled a love for food and taught me the importance of connection around the table. My journey into barbecue started as a way to honor those family traditions while creating new ones of my own. As a self-taught pitmaster, I've drawn inspiration from mentors like Malcom Reed and crafted signature dishes like Bacon Jalapeño Smoked Deviled Eggs, Reverse Seared Tri-Tip, and Pulled Pork. A viral chicken recipe launched me into content creation, where I've built a thriving community and worked with incredible brands like Pepsi Cola, Prairie Fresh, Kingsford, ThermoWorks, and many other big names in BBQ. I'm currently an ambassador for Royal Oak, Heath Riles, How to BBQ Right, and several industry leaders.

In episode 741 of QAV, Tony and Cam discuss fear and greed with quotes from "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator", analyse West African Resources' (WAF) market situation due to Burkina Faso's political climate, Bank of Queensland's (BOQ) franchise strategies, Tony's attempts to get ChatGPT to help with the Kelly Criterion, answer a question about US Dummy Portfolio Strategy, and discuss insights on price-to-cash flow ratios from 'What Works on Wall Street' by O'Shaughnessy. The 'Pulled Pork' section features an in-depth look at Adairs (ADH) and its new strategic direction. And, of course, After Hours.

New recipes can shake up cooking routines, but there's something to be said for the tried-and-true meals, too. Today Meagan and Sarah share the family dinners that always make it into our current cooking rotations. They're the meals we know how to shop for, prepare, and that the kids are comfortable eating as is (or know how to put their own twist on it). We also touch on “always in rotation” dinners from bygone eras, and what new recipes we're hoping to try this year. This special series features the New Saint Andrews College event staff. Today we go behind the scenes with Jen Bunch and Carolyn Wilson, experts in cooking for hundreds of people. Together they discuss what it takes to pull it off including working with a crew, keeping within a budget, shortcuts, taking advantage of bulk food deliveries, and why you need to use a cooler. Jen and Carolyn encourage us to learn to let things go and to remember the importance of creating culture and traditions. We're so glad you're here!
