The latest annual United Nations climate conference, COP29, is about to wrap up in Baku, Azerbaijan – the second year in a row it has been held in a “petro state.” Add in the election of Donald Trump just before they convened, and it was a pretty grim affair if you are a global climate alarmist. But for some people it was a blast, including Craig Rucker and Marc Morano of CFACT, who attended as they usually do. They will provide us a report from the ground on what even supporters of the global climate command-and-control agenda are admitting was a disaster. On Episode #136 The Heartland Institute's H. Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely will also cover some of the Crazy Climate News of the week.

A recent United Nations conference (the 29th Conference of the Parties or COP 29) recently took place in Baku. CFACT's Craig Rucker was there and provided this first-hand account of what happened. Much of the activity focused on collecting funds from developed countries and funnelling it to poor countries - with plenty of strings attached. Mike Ferguson in the Morning 11-13-24 Craig Rucker from CFACT (Committee For A Constructive Tomorrow) is at the UN COP29 Climate Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, and reports to us about the International Confab. (https://www.cfact.org/) More articles from Craig here: (https://www.cfact.org/author/crucker/) From CFACT: U.S. Skeptics Travel to Azerbaijan to AttendUN COP29 Climate SummitFollowing the US Presidential Election. Trump's Win Ensures COP29 Will be Akin to a Funeral Dirge The most consequential U.S. presidential election for the climate agenda in a generation is now behind us, as yet another UN climate summit convenes. CFACT is once again sending a U.S. delegation to attend the latest climate confab held this year in oil-rich Baku, Azerbaijan. The U.S. presidential election results have massive consequences for the climate change agenda. CFACT will be on the ground again this year following the UN's every effort to squelch your freedom and continue the dark path of net-zero rationing of energy, food, freedom of movement, and free speech. The CFACT team in Azerbaijan will be led by veteran UN experts Craig Rucker -- who has attended 26 of the summits and Marc Morano, who will be attending his 20th out of the past 29 international UN summits. Azerbaijan is the third petro-state in a row to host the COP summit, with Egypt, and Dubai the previous two years. This year's summit is being dubbed the “finance COP” because climate and green energy lobbyists are descending on the event to try to funnel even more U.S. taxpayer money into their pockets. With the Trump-Vance election win, COP 29 will be thrown into chaos with the climate activists scheming on how to derail Trump's anti-UN climate plans. Craig Rucker, CFACT President notes, “There'll be a lot at stake at COP 29 in Azerbaijan. Foremost on the plate of those gathered will be how to siphon off billions of dollars from the United States to fund the UN's radical climate agenda. Their plans, of course, will be greatly hindered by Donald Trump. Regardless, don't expect them to sit on their hands; they will go forward with all due haste, which is why the American people need to be alerted by the CFACT team on COP happenings." CFACT's Marc Morano, who runs Climate Depot, commented: "The Donald Trump win means the United Nations COP29 will turn into a giant wake, with the United Nations facing defeat of their anti human climate agenda. The entire climate agenda is facing utter and complete collapse due to its unrealistic mandates and targets. Failure across the board is occurring, from emission targets to anemic electric vehicle sales to pushback by farmers fighting back against agricultural climate restrictions. Trump's victory will help push the United Nations and their net zero agenda into the dustbin of history.” Free speech will also be facing a COP29 showdown. The UN wants to make sure YOU cannot voice your opposition to net zero or any aspect of climate fear claims. UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged censoring alleged “misinformation.” Guterres explicitly said, “The proliferation of hate and lies in the digital space is already causing grave global harm -- now.” Not to be outdone, the Journal of the American Medical Association announced that “medical schools are updating their curricula as climate change becomes impossible to ignore.” The group claimed “curbing climate change can help stop the next viral pandemic.” Even former U.S. climate envoy, John Kerry's daughter, Vanessa, now the World Health Organization's “Special Envoy for Climate Change and Health,” declared, “We must accept that there is no other way forward than to phase out our reliance on fossil fuels. Simply mitigation and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions — is no longer a choice.” Another key focus of COP 29 will be agriculture and food as climate threats, as many countries have pledged to include food systems in their net zero-plans. In September, efforts to push a Great Food Reset by rationing meat were well underway with international banks being urged to stop financing livestock production. Over 100 climate groups pressured JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and other banks to cut funding to meat and dairy companies. The Aldi supermarket chain may have the solution for these proposed dwindling meat supplies as it has been reported that the supermarket chain is considering selling “edible insects” to help families afford protein. Abolishing private car ownership to fight climate change is an idea proposed in a new video produced by the World Economic Forum. The WEF touted a city in Europe that was banning private car ownership and asked, “Would you be happy sharing, not owning, a car?” Bonner Cohen, Ph.D., a senior policy analyst with CFACT, cautions, “Global elites, determined to impose their will on the benighted masses, will stop at nothing. The climate, about which they know practically nothing, serves as a mere pretext for a power grab of epic proportions. He reports, "Trump's Victory is a Resounding Setback for Green Climate Policies. Look for the Trump administration to:Rollback the EV mandates (EPA tailpipe emissions – already under court challenge) and Biden-era policies to shut down natural gas and coal-fired power plants. Exit the 2015 Paris Climate Accords. The agreement should be submitted to the Senate as a treaty, which it is, where it requires a two-thirds vote (67 votes) for ratification. It will not get the 67 votes, and that will be the end of it. Greenlight construction of liquid natural gas (LNG) export terminals so that U.S. LNG can be exported to customers around the world. End the Interior Department's plans to install hundreds of thousands of solar panels on federal land in the West. Terminate federal green building codes now being imposed by HUD. Approve oil and natural gas pipelines to strengthen U.S. energy infrastructure. End the war on fossil fuels and reinstate the policy of American energy dominance. With the destruction of Helene still affecting Americans throughout the Southeast and Hurricane Milton on the the way to Florida, many politicial activists, pundits, and officials are - again - pointing to "climate change" as the reason for the frequency and intensity of dangerous storms. Jacki interviews Craig Rucker of CFACT about their ongoing suit against the feds for violating the Endangered Species Act. The suit to prevent construction of a Virginia offshore wind farm that would be the biggest in the world, the size of Rhode Island and Connecticut – combined - claiming that the 176 turbines will have a devastating impact on the North Atlantic Right Whale, an endangered species with only about 70 female individuals remaining. This project is one of 32 east coast areas leased to wind farms, creating a gauntlet of dangers that this and other whale species have to migrate through twice yearly. The seismic surveys, underwater explosions used to place the turbines, and ongoing noise from the turbines are all believed to interfere with the whales' communication and navigation signals, causing the “unusual mortality event” the feds have declared for the whale beachings. This suit is filed by the Heartland Institute, the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT), and the National Legal and Policy Center. Jacki predicts a court win given that the federal courts have uniformly held that the approach taken by the regulators in this case is illegal.
On episode 104 of The Climate Realism Show, we explain that to save the whales we need to kill these growing large-scale offshore wind projects. These so-called “wind farms” are much larger and do much more environmental damage than most people realize. Covering an area the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined, one project off the Mid-Atlantic poses an existential risk to the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale. That is just one of many ocean mammals harassed and killed by these projects that will, at best, provide unreliable and expensive energy. Remember when “save the whales” was the cry of the environmentalists? Now they are fine with a spike in dead whales washing up on our Atlantic beaches as long as the “green energy” agenda continues apace. The Heartland Institute is part of a lawsuit to stop to a major wind project in the Atlantic and save the right whale. We will talk about that effort with Craig Rucker and Terry Johnson of CFACT, who are also part of the suit. Join them and host Anthony Watts, H. Sterling Burnett, and Linnea Lueken to talk about that, plus the Crazy Climate News of the Week.

The United States has several huge crises going on right now. The opioid, open border, financial, and energy hypocrisy. Energy hypocrisy is rampant. And effects the global economic and environmental impact on humanity. In this episode, I talk with Craig Rucker, President of CFACT (Committee For A Constructive Tomorrow). I saw his interview on Fox News titled "Offshore wind is leaving a 'heavy environmental footprint' on the East Coast: CFACTS's Craig Rucker HERE: Craig had just been out trying to help protest the wind farm's impact on the marine life and the whale deaths that have been catastrophic on the east coast. On the podcast, I learned he is good friends with Dr. Patrick Moore, Co-Founder of Greenpeace, and had scheduled Patrick to be on his boat protesting the whale deaths. That was extremely cool, as I had just finished my second podcast with Patrick, and we covered the whale and marine life issues. The staff is releasing that podcast episode on Monday. We have to ask the question: Oil saved the whales the first time, Patrick Moore and Greenpeace saved them the second time, who will step up to save them the third time?Thank you, Craig, for stopping by the Energy News Beat Podcast. I had a lot of fun and was thrilled to hear what you are doing to save the whales and the United States citizens from the regulatory and energy hypocrisy we are suffering through. - Stu.Check out CFACT for more great resources:At the heart of CFACT, our goal is to enhance the fruitfulness of the earth and all of its inhabitants. Craig Rucker, co-founder and President of CFACT joins Jacki to give a debrief of the action at COP27, the latest U.N. climate conference (Sharm-al-Sheik, Egypt…which some have dubbed “Sharm-al-Shakedown”). CFACT has attended 24 of 27 international climate conferences and Rucker tells of witnessing a distinct metamorphosis from what was once an activist-driven science conference to what he says is a corporate laden, dollar-chasing extravaganza. Sideshows include activists' attempt at re-enacting Moses' historic event on Mt. Sinai, but in this case breaking stone tablets, and announcing a new “10 Principles” of environmental mandates for the world's religious community. - - - - - Then, Dr. Ellen Wald, author of Saudi, Inc., joins Jacki to celebrate the launch of her new energy advocacy advisory firm, Washington Ivy Advisors. The mission is to teach oil and gas producers to stand up for themselves and tell the lifesaving, war-preventing news about robust oil and gas production.

Rick Manning analysis of the Presidential campaign announcement of President Donald Trump and the implications of his announcement. Rumors are swirling that the FBI has been planning a follow up raid of Mar A Lago and the arrest of the 45th President and the announcement was to attempt a preemptive strike.

We've been told that the greatest existential threat to our nation is Global Climate Change. As a result, the Biden Administration has been doing everything possible to send us back to the pre-Industrial era. The price hikes we are all experiencing with gas or diesel and escalating food prices recently became a laughing matter to the President.--Policies are being enacted to cut our energy supply, to cut our food supply, and to cut the livelihood of many. The attacks coming are many, but there's one with which you may not be familiar called the 30x30 plan. It's an attack on property rights as it puts even more land under the control of the federal government.--Here to discuss this and related environmental issues, we welcome back Craig Rucker, President and Co-founder of CFACT -Citizens for a Constructive Tomorrow.- This organization presents a balanced perspective on environmental stewardship and other important issues.--For more information---cfact.org

Politics is a leading cause of enemy-driven thinking. That's why I find less and less relevance for it in my own life as time goes by. Christopher Chantrill points out how, in politics, you can never admit you were wrong. That's the kind of thinking that makes conflict inevitable. Should we be concerned that some in government like to think of the American people as their "customers"? How many businesses flex on you and seek to dominate you every time you are in contact with them? Thomas L. Knapp says, no, president Biden, we are not your customers. Nothing has caused a greater shift in how I live my life like the decision to live with a clear sense of purpose. That's why I encourage my listeners to tap into their own purpose as a guiding star for their life's journey. Annie Holmquist has 5 rules for finding purpose that are very helpful. Is it possible to comply with enough Covid regulations that the people issuing those regs will return our former freedoms? Before you answer that question, consider Kit Knightly's point that you will never be "fully vaccinated." Those goals posts are moveable for a reason. Some people are so enthralled with gaining and maintaining power over others that they cannot help but grasp for a bit more whenever they think they see an opportunity. Case in point, the folks who were pointing to last week's flurry of deadly tornadoes and claiming the storms were proof of "climate change." Craig Rucker reminds them that climate and weather aren't exactly the same thing. These are my sponsors. They make it possible for me to do what I do: Monticello College Lifesaving Food (through Christmas Eve, use the coupon code "HYDE" at checkout for a 30% discount, free shipping and NO sales tax) The Heather Turner Team at Patriot Home Mortgage HSL Ammo Sewing & Quilting Center Govern Your Income
Craig Rucker says Biden's wind energy plan will provide little energy and be bad for the environment. There is little wind on the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts. The rare earth elements used are mined in countries with little or no environmental regulations and some of the countries use child slave labor.
