This thought-provoking commentary dives into the emerging reality of asteroid mining and its potential to upend global economic systems, supply chains, and traditional notions of value. Prompted by a March 2025 BBC article, the piece highlights current efforts by NASA, Japan, and private enterprises to extract valuable resources—like platinum, rhodium, and helium-3—from near-Earth asteroids. It also reflects on legislative groundwork laid by Presidents Obama and Trump that legally supports commercial space resource extraction. While timelines remain speculative, the discussion raises profound questions about the consequences of massive off-world wealth, the feasibility of a psychological gold standard backed by “deep storage” extraterrestrial metals, and even the possibility of interplanetary resource conflicts. The author concludes with a grounded stance: when it comes to precious metals, physical possession remains key. Visit Robert @ https://ConquerChange.com for more insights. Vice President JD Vance was on fire at the Munich Security Conference in Germany over the weekend. He highlighted the notion that Europe has strayed away from the shared values of Democracy. His legitimate concerns around cancelling elections, digital censorship and 'misinformation' highlighted the slippery slope some European countries have engaged in within recent years. From raiding homes for memes or praying outside of abortion clinics, JD noted that free speech in Europe is in retreat. The speech was incredible from start to finish with JD boldly exclaiming "we must do more than talk about Democratic values. we must live them." CBS and other legacy media outlets slow, painful death rattle continues, this time it's Margaret Brennan who claimed the holocaust happened because free speech was weaponized. It was so egregious and thankfully Marco Rubio's rebuttal was perfect in noting her inaccurate portrayal of history. Speaking of history, Trump's rapid response team found some amazing clips of both Barack Obama and Joe Biden vowing for transparency and rooting out and removing waste, fraud and abuse from inside the government. Through this breakout we see that Presidents Obama and Biden currently have the highest number of active judges within federal judiciary.
Gary Varvel - Creators Donald Trump made a lot of campaign promises, big and small. Many of them are pure fantasy and destined to fail. Remember Trump's 2016 promise to replace Obamacare with something “less expensive and better”? Or his regular proclamations of “Infrastructure Week”? He'd learned from earlier failures. With the price of eggs soaring despite his promise to immediate reduce grocery prices, including eggs, his latest Press Fantasy Writer (a.k.a. Press Secretary) laid the blame on Biden for the killing of millions of laying hens to combat Bird Flu. We can expect the same when inflation is reignited by Trump's tariffs and tax cuts, his promised ending of taxes on tips and social security don't happen, and on and on: it's all the fault of a mess Joe Biden left behind.Just today (Thursday) Trump laid the blame for the tragic D.C. plane crash on the hiring policies of Presidents Obama and Biden in a fact-free rant they called a news conference. The other Trump tactic already on full display: take credit for things he did not actually do. His first biggie: claiming he's responsible for turning some valves to restore water supplies for southern California. It didn't happen. The Michigan political landscape underwent an earthquake this week with Gary Peters' announcement that he won't run for reelection in 2026. It has implications not just for the Senate, but also for Michigan's congressional delegation and the race for Governor. We will be joined by state capitol politics guru Kyle Melinn from the MIRS news service to dissect the overlapping impacts. Joining the conversation is MIRS News editor Kyle Melinn. Kyle Melinn is the editor and Vice President of the MIRS Newsletter, a daily on-line political news service covering state government and politics. A professional journalist for 20 years who has covered the state Capitol for the last 13. Before MIRS, Kyle served as a freelance writer for the Boston Herald and as a senior editor for SchoolSports.com. He has also covered government and politics for The Daily Citizen, in Dalton, Ga.; The Yuma arizona Daily Sun; and the East Lansing Towne Courier. Kyle is also host of the MIRS Monday podcast, an excellent source of the latest information from state government. =========================== This episode is sponsored in part by EPIC ▪ MRA, a full service survey research firm with expertise in • Public Opinion Surveys • Market Research Studies • Live Telephone Surveys • On-Line and Automated Surveys • Focus Group Research • Bond Proposals - Millage Campaigns • Political Campaigns & Consulting • Ballot Proposals - Issue Advocacy Research • Community - Media Relations • Issue - Image Management • Database Development & List Management David Horsey - Seattle Times

Savage exposes Harris for disguising herself as a moderate in order to get elected. Bernie Sanders just told Jake Tapper that Harris is in favor of the Green New Deal and other progressive policies, but is downplaying her radical sentiments to win the White House. Savage points to her far left record and the destruction she caused in San Francisco and California. He then blasts Kamala for her pandering to black churches in an attempt to appear "religious." Then, Savage likens Harris and her cohorts to the tactics of Joseph Goebbels. He discusses how Harris and Democrats use "Big Lies" in order to coerce the population to their disastrous policies. Learn why former Presidents Obama and Clinton are not so thrilled about a Harris presidency.
Lionel Barber is the former editor of the Financial Times and probably the only journalist on the planet to have interviewed Presidents Obama, Trump and Putin. Under his stewardship, the FT metamorphosed from a newspaper into a digital subscription business, and was sold to the Japanese company Nikkei for 44x earnings. And as editor, Barber fully backed up former guest Dan McCrum in his investigation of Wirecard. I was delighted when Lionel agreed to come on the show to talk about his new book, Gambling Man, a biography of Masa Son, founder of Softbank and creator of the $100bn Vision Fund. I have long been curious about Son, who for 3 days at the peak of the dot.com boom was the richest man in the world. Barber spent 3 years writing his meticulously researched book for which he interviewed 150 subjects, including Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, as he explains in our discussion. Some of his stories, including his description of Son's inner sanctum, are marvellous. The campaign for the White House is in the final stretch as former President Trump and Vice President Harris start making their last pitches to voters on the trail. Vice President Harris has recruited former Presidents Obama and Clinton to make the case to voters in swing states to vote for Harris, while former President Trump has been on a media blitz, appearing on podcasts and forums across the nation. One of former President Trump's campaign stops will be Georgia, where he is set to do a FOX News town hall with Faulkner Focus anchor Harris Faulkner. Harris Faulkner joins the Rundown to discuss what she is hoping to cover with the former President, what issues the voters are focusing on ahead of Election Day, and what she is seeing from both the Harris and Trump campaigns. An electoral tie in a presidential election is unlikely and rare; however, this year the odds of that scenario have increased. If both candidates were to secure 269 electoral votes each, Congress would step in as a tiebreaker. The process is more complicated and nuanced than it seems, and FOX News senior congressional correspondent Chad Pergram joins to game out how an electoral tie could happen and how it would be resolved. Plus, commentary by a former investment banker and author of 'You Will Own Nothing,' Carol Roth. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Southeast is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Helene and now Hurricane Milton. Florida faced direct hits from both of those hurricanes, with damages estimated in the billions of dollars. Vice President Harris is on defense on the campaign trail over the readiness of FEMA for both hurricanes and is also attempting to curate a more moderate image ahead of Election Day. The Vice President has also recruited former Presidents Obama and Clinton to stump for her in swing states, as polls show the race is tightening. Congressman Mike Waltz (R-FL-6) joins the Rundown to discuss the relief efforts in his state, what he has thought of the federal response to the hurricanes, why he believes Vice President Harris does not have a clear message for the future of America, and shares details from his new book Hard Truths: Think And Lead Like A Green Beret. With just weeks to go until Election Day, both campaigns are working to court minority groups in swing states. Pundits are predicting that the Hispanic vote may be the key to win states like Arizona and Pennsylvania. With that, FOX is launching a new Spanish language news program, on FOX Deportes, called FOX Noticias that will look to bring news of the day to the nation's Spanish speaking population. FOX & Friends Weekend Co-Host and FOX Noticias Anchor Rachel Campos-Duffy joins the Rundown to discuss why this was the right time to launch the program, why the Hispanic population in the United States is so unique, and what kind of news they will be delivering on the program. When renowned physician-scientist Francis Collins was about to have his first conversation with Christian conservative Wilk Wilkinson in early 2022, he admits that he had concerns. "I thought oh boy, this is going to be a tough one". Dr. Collins had recently stepped down as Director of NIH— The National Institutes of Health. He served under Presidents Obama, Trump, and Biden, and played a leading role in the federal response to the COVID pandemic. Podcaster Wilk Wilkinson, who lives in rural Minnesota, was intensely critical of how the government handled COVID.Today both Francis and Wilk are friends. They lead the Braver Angels' Truth and Trust Project. The goal is to build trust between ordinary Americans and the public health community in the wake of the pandemic. In each Truth and Trust gathering equal numbers of people from each side of the debate about what happened with public health listen carefully and express their views. In this episode of "How Do We Fix It?", Wilk and Francis discuss their unlikely partnership, what they've learned from those they disagree with, and how they're working together across divides."We're going to have another pandemic," says Francis. "If we do not learn the lessons of what went right and what went wrong with this one then we're going to be in a terrible spot."Both men still have different opinions on the role of government mandates in health emergencies. "When I look at anything that involves the government it's through the lens of liberty," says Wilk. "If the one entity out there that has a monopoly on force is going to restrict the liberty of the individual they better be 100% sure that what they're doing is really the only option.""I learned a lot by listening, and Wilk was a very good person to listen to, about how the pandemic was different for somebody who was in a very different place than I was", says Francis. "I also learned from Wilk and others in the Truth and Trust sessions about how sometimes the pronouncements from people like me in public health communication came across as very elitist... as opposed to really explaining the circumstance about how imperfect the data was and how uncertain we often were that we were recommending was going to turn out to be right."Francis's forthcoming book, to be published in mid-September, is "The Road to Wisdom: On Truth, Science, Faith and Trust". Wilk's podcast is "Derate The Hate." Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Arriving in Philadelphia after deejaying in her native New York and Washington D.C., where she was known for a time as “Ebony Moonbeams,” Dyana Williams established the popular radio show “Love on the Menu” for radio station WDAS and later Soulful Sundays for Classix 107.9. The latter show lasting for 12 years before signing off for the last time in 2020. Even with her luminous on-air career, Dyana's contributions behind the scenes have been even more impactful. Formerly married to music producer Kenny Gamble (Gamble & Huff), Williams has long been associated with the “Sound of Philadelphia” (Patti LaBelle, McFadden & Whitehead, Teddy Pendergrass, etc.) and has produced documentaries, founded and led organizations and mentored countless emerging artists, a passion that she continues to pursue. But perhaps her most lasting gift to us is her role in the founding of Black Music Month. Its initial recognition in 1979 was the beginning of a process that Dyana would shepherd until it was written into law by congress and proclaimed first by President Clinton in 2000 and again by Presidents Obama and Biden. Read more about Dyana in Issue No. 7 of AphroChic magazine.
As the 19th and 21st U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy has faced some of the most difficult health crises in recent history. Murthy, appointed by Presidents Obama and Biden, shaped the federal response to the opioid epidemic, the rise of e-cigarettes, the Flint Michigan water crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic. He also co-founded Doctors for America, which works to promote more affordable health care, and TrialNetworks, a biotechnology company that helps improve clinical drug trials. Murthy has pushed to reduce access to social media for young children, pointing out the harmful effects of bullying, a lack of in-person interactions, and harassment. Recently, Murthy has written about and spoken on the negative health effects of loneliness, calling it an “epidemic” that increases the risk of early death and other social problems. On April 16, 2024, Vivek Murthy came to the Sydney Goldstein Theater in San Francisco to talk about how to combat loneliness with public radio journalist David Greene.

Last week President Biden, flanked by former Presidents Obama and Clinton, came to Radio City Music Hall for what Biden's campaign called “the most successful political fund-raiser in American history.” The former Presidents, alongside celebrities like Stephen Colbert, Mindy Kaling, Lizzo, and Queen Latifah, spoke to an audience of 5,000 donors. And according to the Biden campaign, the event brought in more than $25 million. That fund-raising haul further tips the scales in the money race between Trump and Biden — a race that, so far, the Democrats have been winning. But Biden's big cash advantage hasn't helped solve his political problems. And when two candidates are as well known as Biden and Trump, there might be a limit to what money can buy. This week, we speak with longtime Democratic donor Robert Wolf about the Radio City fund-raiser and why he's donated to Biden. And National Political Correspondent Shane Goldmacher explains the vast financial gap between the candidates.
You'll hear many very important discussions in today's show. Victor Davis Hanson, Tucker Carlson, and Rush Limbaugh weighed in regarding the craziness of Washington, D.C., today. As we look forward to Easter Sunday, which represents the beginning of eternal life for all Christians, we are reminded that it all comes at a price. And millions going before us have paid that price—quite a few examples of the evil in D.C. are illustrated in stories on the show today, From Biden's secret replenishment of our Strategic Oil Reserves that he depleted by selling millions of barrels to China to Biden's ignoring the death of the latest New York policeman at the hands of an illegal alien with NO Joe Biden present at the Wake, the President illustrated what his priorities were. He skipped the policeman's Wake to be just a few miles away in a campaign fundraiser with former Presidents Obama and Clinton. The event raised $26 million for Biden's re-election while the 31-year-old wife of that NYPD officer wept at their loss. Not only did Joe not appear to share his sorrow for her loss, but HE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO MAKE A PHONE CALL! Remember: "The Love of Money is the Root of all Evil."
Pags delves into the Biden Fundraiser including former Presidents Obama and Clinton. Plus, Gov. Hochul's somewhat controversial move after NYPD tragedy!
Outrage is growing over Former President Trump's social media attacks against the daughter of the Judge in the hush money case, as Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg seeks a broader gag order. Meanwhile, President Biden's blockbuster Radio City Music Hall fundraiser featuring former Presidents Obama and Clinton was a major show of strength as he begins to make the case for his re-election. MSNBC political analyst Fernand Amandi reacts to the event's $25 million haul. And a federal judge tossed out Elon Musk's lawsuit against a hate-speech research group. Attorney Roberta Kaplan and CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate Imran Ahmed react to the ruling. Plus, Amanda Nguyen discusses her historic interstellar journey as she becomes the first Vietnamese woman to fly in space. All that and more on “The Katie Phang Show.”

There is still an air of discretion around who all formed part of the audience at a recently held high-profile fundraiser in NYC. This glamorous affair featured none other than incumbent President Biden, alongside past presidents Clinton and Obama. While the fundraising eventwith these presidential figures was by any measure a success, with campaign funds to the tune of 26 million dollars being amassed, the complete attendee list is as of now, under wraps. The gathering labelled as 'An Evening with President Biden and Presidents Obama and Clinton', was hosted at the venerable Radio City Music Hall, according to sources within the Biden campaign. The campaign officials also confirm that tickets were quickly sold out, alluding to the presence of over 5,000 attendees. The attendee roster was a diverse one, with grassroots patrons rubbing shoulders with some of the campaign's biggest contributors. According to a key advisor within the Biden campaign, amongst those attending were a few donors whose identity was revealed by New York magazine. A request by Fox News Digital for the full list of donors was, however, declined by the campaign representative. It should be noted that the event was not hidden away from media scrutiny, and was open for press coverage. It's interesting to note that while the aforementioned fundraiser was underway, ex-President Trump was mourning the loss of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller who died in the line of duty. A campaign authorities affirmed that the donor list isn't typically disclosed, in line with their general guidelines and practices.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The latest economic indicators show a historically strong economy. Over the past couple of years, the unemployment rate has consistently stayed below 4%, real wages have been growing faster than they have in decades, and economic growth has been strong. And yet, public opinion surveys consistently show dissatisfaction with economic conditions. Aaron Sojourner, a labor economist from the Upjohn Institute, joins us to discuss his research findings into why Americans are so displeased with the economy. Aaron helps us unpack the complicated relationship between news coverage of the economy and its effect on consumer sentiment. Aaron Sojourner is a labor economist and senior researcher at the Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. His research focuses on the effects of labor-market institutions, policies to promote efficient and equitable development of human capital, and behavioral economic approaches to consumer finance decisions. He's also served as the senior economist for labor on the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers for Presidents Obama and Trump. She has served as U.S. Deputy Chief Technology Officer under President Obama and on the Defense Innovation Board under Presidents Obama and Trump. She also co-founded United States Digital Response, which helps government meet the needs of the public with volunteer tech support. Jennifer is a graduate of Yale University. In this episode we discuss the following: After backpacking in Asia for a year, and then returning to the states, Jennifer realized that our culture and infrastructure could be different because she had seen different. People think of government as an “other” and unchangeable. But it's up to us to make government more aligned to our values. Lots of people talk about public service as giving back. But Jennifer got more out of public service than she gave, and hopes that we would all spend time in public service. We need to hold our politicians accountable for not only planting new seeds, but also nurturing the seeds that have already been planted. You already know the Biden administration is responsible for record numbers of illegal border crossings after advertising they would not deport people for breaking the law to come here. And while Biden and his team claim they are doing everything possible to contain the situation, this is clearly an intentional act that is now responsible for seven million illegals gaining entry into our nation. In fact, the number of illegal crossings under President Biden in just over two years is already higher than the number under Presidents Obama and Trump combined over 12 years. But the bad news gets even worse. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tennessee) says border officials report an alarming number of single, military-aged Chinese males coming to our border. Green breaks down the danger this poses to our national security and details the House GOP legislation to restore order to the border. Green also urges Americans across the country to contact their lawmakers in Washington and demand they secure our nation. He says members of Congress can ignore ten messages, but they will think a lot differently if they get 10,000.Please visit our great sponsors:Allegiance Goldhttps://protectwithsara.comClick or Call 877-702-7272 tell them Sara sent you and get $5,000 of free silver on a qualifying purchase.
