Welcome back to a new episode on some of the most iconic tales that have been passed down for centuries. We deconstruct and contemplate our own understanding of these urban legends and how they have impacted us all. From killer beasts to eerie apparitions that tread both land and water. Where did these stories come from and why do they still matter? Join us for another haunting episode this spooky season on The Other Side.
Genesis. The Divine Feminine. Mother Nature. Goddess. Witch. Women embody the characteristics of all these things and to understand it's complexity is to understand life after death. Unfathomable. As we roll into the new season we thought what better way to celebrate than with a bit of discourse on the very concept of what woman truly are. The witch embodies everything and nothing that takes claim over her all at once. We deconstruct the ideologies that created “The Witch” and share what our own beliefs of who they are and what they truly mean. This episode isn't spooky in the slightest but it is every bit dark and telling. So join us on The Other Side to find all the magic and alluring truth to who witches really are.
This week we are exploring the origins of colonialism and how it has come to affect everything and everyone we know. As hispanics, we dive into our life stories of mixed race from native american ancestry to our ties with the European race. Our names. Our families. Our customs. Our beliefs. They've all been a product of being mestizos (mixed race) and our identity as latinxs. We go over topics such as colorism, racism, and other social aberrations that have shaped the world that we live in today. The very two languages that we speak as latinxs is English and Spanish. Both colonial tongues. So join us for this episode on The Other Side and see if perhaps you can relate with us about a thing or two about our past, future, and perhaps even the present. See you next week.
It's the episode you've all been waiting for. Dreams. We kick off this spooky season with an eerie dialogue about where our minds and bodies go when we are unconscious. Dreams have king since been an anomaly to science and still isn't wholly understood today. Things like lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis, night terrors, daydreams, fever dreams, and even astral projecting are some of the most popular modes of experience when it comes to our R.E.M. sleep. Join us this week as we open up to some of our past experiences with dreams and how even fainting (unconsciousness) has even given us a new perspective on dreaming, overall. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did and it will definitely be a series of many to come here on The Other Side. Stay spooky, my friends.
Welcome back to The Other Side with a fantastically mushy topic this week! We go deep into the inner machinations and beauty that is of fungi. Fungus, as you all know is that moldy, fuzzy stuff that grows on your old veggies and on athletes' feet. But fungi (plural for fungus), comes in many shapes, colors, and sizes. It's most famously recognized as the Mushroom. Those beautiful, gilly, toadstools that beg us all to marvel at it's mushy beauty on a tree stump or just sitting in the backyard. Mushrooms go as far back as the dawn of humanity. Some might even say, mushrooms, were the cause - for - humanity. With its ties into celestial and otherworldly influences on the early people who journeyed to the gods and higher self. From folklore and fairies to food and mycophiles, fungi has always been at the center of all our lives. We share a substantial amount of body makeup with them, after all. Join us this week as we venture into what's what with this mysterious phenomena we know and love, as mushrooms. And as a thank you for being a listener and a follower to our podcast, we would like to do a giveaway! As some of you may know, @luna.isoffline loves to paint shrooms! For your chance to win a custom watercolor painting by Luna, make sure to 1. follow our account 2. share this post on your story 3. comment a ‘

We're glad to be back with a new episode on our mental notes series❣️It's been a hot minute since we got mushy with y'all so this week we will be talking all about the ideas behind being called crazy, overly-sensitive, dramatic, you name it! The word crazy can mean a lot of different things to many people but it always seems to revolve around this negative connotation of being “too much”. But what does that really mean? Could there ever be a limit to expressing yourself to others or perhaps a healthier way that doesn't send someone spiraling into oblivion when you start crying or venting??? Join us on The Other Side for some story time around the virtual campfire as we sob our way through this one. Thanks for listening ❤️
Welcome to our last episode for our Pride series this year with a special guest, Ally Martinez❣️ This week we dive into the spectrum and truths of identifying as a Non-Binary Individual. In today's age, we are learning and adapting to new ways of expression and identity. We've touched on Gender Identity in our first Pride episode and go into the details of how nuanced this social construct is. In this episode, we break down more what the gender binary is and what it means to identify as NB. The do's, the dont's, the truth, the misconceptions, how to approach it, how to accept it, and what it all really means. Join us on the Other Side as we cap the end of Pride and just reflect on everything we've learned in June 2021. We hope to bring clarity and support for all those listening and especially, all those questioning. Please reach out with any questions or comments you may have. And thank you once again, Ally for joining us for another episode on The Other Side
Surprise❣️ We're back with a new episode this week because it's #pride and there's no time to lose❣️ As we've reached the end of this Mercury Retrograde, we hope everyone's had time to reflect on what it is that makes them happy. Pride is all about exploring who you are, after all. Last week we discussed the ideologies of feminine and masculine while breaking down the construct that is ‘Gender'. This week we move into the spectrum of sexual orientation and romantic desire. Unlike Gender, these two topics are things that we are born with and come to us all naturally. Everyone has a preference for #love and sex. That orientation can be monogamy, polygamy, open, or no interest at all. And #sexuality has an even more vast array of types such as pansexual, homosexual, demisexual, asexual, to name a few. Join us this week of Pride as we discuss this spectrum of love and desire. Hope everyone's having a wonderful Pride
We hope everyone has been having a wonderful Pride this year❣️To kick things off, we decided to discuss about gender identity and it's fluidity for this week's topic. We go over what it means to be cisgender, gender non-conforming, androgynous, and how the social construct of gender has molded these ideas for centuries. We open up about how androgyny is very real and what it all means. Our own interpretations of what it means to be feminine and masculine and what truly embodies a “woman”. Join us this week as we get into personal experiences that have shaped us to be who we are today. And always remember, you know you best and your identity is always valid. We wish everyone a happy rest of Pride this year❣️ See you all next week
Have things been feeling..sort of…off? lately? Like life has just been chaotic and you can't seem to get a grasp of reality? Well look no further, because you may be experiencing the effects of the Mercury Retrograde in Gemini! An astronomical phenomenon where Mercury's orbit seems to be going backwards, reversing its orbit from our point of view from Earth. A mereoptical illusion. Other planets retrograde too but because Mercury is the fastest orbiting planet on our solar system it happens more frequently about 3 to 4 times per year and it last for about 2 to 3 weeks. So what does this all mean? Well according to Western Astrology, Mercury is a planet that symbolizes ‘Communication', so a time when it appears that Mercury is in retrograde than it indeed means our communication can be off too! Join us this week as we dive into the do's and dont's for you to have a successful Mercury Retrograde. Here, on The Other Side ✨

n today's episode, we explore the ideas of understanding that we aren't the only complex beings in our lives. The profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passed in the street, have a life as complex as one's own, which they are constantly living despite one's personal lack of awareness of it. This is a concept called Sonder. We may be the main characters in our lives, but what if we aren't the only ones in this reality? Join us this week as we discuss the ideas of others' self and extrospective thoughts. Thanks for listening, see you all next week
Have you ever wondered why some people may seem so self-assured or believe they're destined for greatness? Or maybe YOU think that about yourself too. Well if so, you may be experiencing narcissistic tendencies. Join us this week as we take the test to see how much narcissism either of us have on mind-diagnostics.org. Disclaimer: this is in no way a clinical study done to officially diagnose ourselves with a narcissist personality disorder, but more so to open up a conversation on how this phenomenon exist within individuals who also deal self-image/esteem issues. We talk about our lives dealing with these feelings and views and how they conflict with either anxiety/depression. We hope this gives you all an idea of who we are and maybe even about you too. Thanks for listening, see you all next week. ✨
This week we are manifesting better things in this life! Energy is all around us and with the right mindset we can manifest all of our heart's desires. The art of manifesting is when one chooses to believe that what they want WILL happen. It's a universal act we all have partaken in since the dawn of time. We practice it in all religions and belief systems; each in unique ways. It can be as simple as reciting a daily affirmation to yourself or writing it all down in a Manifesting Journal. Join us this week on The Other Side as we talk about our own hopes and desires and what we can do to manifest it. Thank you all for listening, see you all next week ✨
This week we share experiences that made us question the existence of time and if, sometimes is in fact, non-coincidental. Some believe things happen for a reason and they happen when they're supposed to happen. Others believe it's all just based on pure coincidence. In this episode of Divine Timing we share experiences from meeting new people in the right time, as well as meeting some in a bad time. Some could say our life-changing experiences in our lives are just meant to be. Join us as we explore what this means to us here on The Other Side and how the many facets of time can prove to be divine. Stream our new episode on both Spotify & Apple Podcasts. And be sure to check out our Youtube for weekly videos. Thanks for listening ✨

This week we welcome Ally Martinez to join us on The Other Side to discuss “THE BIG 3”. A phrase commonly used in today's Astrology Twitter Community. According to Western Astrology we are all born with 11 astrology placements, including your sun placement, commonly known as your “zodiac sign”. Your big three compromise of your sun sign, your moon sign, and your rising(ascending) sign. While all placements are greatly important, these three are essentially what makes you, you. Your sun sign reflects your personality and how you behave. Your moon sign controls your emotion; deeply connected to your soul. And your rising sign is the perception others make of you; essentially it is the mask you wear. Join us this week as we talk astrology, personalities, insecurities, and overall perceptions of our own big threes between Poli, Luna, and Ally. We're excited to bring you our first guest speaker onto this podcast and explore the universe alongside them. Ally is a fellow astrology connoisseur and an amazing artist. Follow them on all platforms @spookybooty_ ❣️ We hope you all enjoy and thanks for listening. See you all next week

This week we talk about the beauty in everything and the act of doing so, called Romanticizing. It's the ideas we build in our head when we want to feel warm and tender inside. Romanticizing isn't just reserved to romantic partners but in all things in life. It could be how beautiful you recall memories or describing how it felt to kiss someone for the first time, or even hear that one song from a band that changed your life. Romanticizing is something we all partake in from time to time to make life special. Join us on The Other Side as we discuss things and people we view through a romantic eye and how it shapes us as individuals. Cause why wouldn't you want to be a hopeless romantic? After all, that's the idea. ✨

We feel like these episodes are going to go deep into our own personal experiences when dealing with things like depression, panic disorder, anxiety, ptsd, and more. We wanted to create this series as an outlet for those who are struggling and to reassure our listeners that it's okay to experience these thoughts or feelings and to know they are not alone. In the midst of a global pandemic and uncertain times, we think it's a good idea to create this safe space to talk about things that cloud our minds and try and find some clarity amongst ourselves with you all. This week's episode will be about a distinct moment that happens to almost everyone at some point in there lives. That feeling you get when you're sure you've lived that exact moment before but can't recall when. “Déjà Vu” which is French for “already seen” was coined by the French philosopher Émile Boirac in 1876. A long standing mystery to this psychological anomaly. Join us on The Other Side as we ponder theories and possible explanations on this peculiar matter. Could it be cryptomnesia, as forgotten memories coming back to the surface and our brains recognizing them as new or could it be something more deeper than that, like a shared conscious from another dimension? Follow us on Instagram @TheOtherSideChannel
This week we talk all about numerology! From angel numbers to life path numbers and even some that we share special connections with. Reoccurring sets of numbers have always been understood as a sign that a higher power or energy is trying to reach us and certain numbers can reveal certain messages, so join us as we talk about what our life path numbers mean and what some master numbers can reveal about your spiritual life at this very moment.
This week we talk about Twin Flames. What they are and how to identify them. A twin flame is said to be the other half of your soul embodied by another person you may cross paths with in your life. A powerful connection shared by two people that brings both love and power together. Often compared to the word ‘soulmate'; could they essentially mean the same thing or are they two completely different concepts? In this episode, we offer some perspective on how this idea of spiritual connection can invoke both passion and even, narcissism in your relationships.
